I wonder if the person's album came really damaged and they just decided to use the remains of the album as packing material instead of throwing it all away? I remember seeing in a haul years ago somebody shipped something using the cover of SHINee's Misconceptions of Me album.
If it was a Korean seller, I would understand why they would use albums. In Korea, albums without photocards are pretty much worthless. I see ksellers on twitter trying to sell a box of 20 albums for like $5

Issue with buying with them is 1. no english, 2. don't take paypal, most want Korean bank transfer, 3. they want to ship to a Korean address. A lot of group order managers go through twitter to find deals for photocard claims and other cheap/rare merch.

I have the same Mark card, I randomly got it in my SuperM Kai album and got really excited in the middle of the street because Mark is my bias in SuperM (I bought the album in a store in Germany and couldn't wait until I'm back at the hotel to open it). My parents must habe been super embarassed 😂 I don't collect cards, I actually only own 3 kpop albums for the moment (Stray Kids I am You and Clé 1: Miroh and the SuperM one) but I really cherish all the cards I got out of it, espicially the Mark one and the Woojin one from I am You (I miss him). About the Ateez albums. You can easily find many sellers selling their albums without the photocards, and they’re not as easy to sell, because most people collect their cards. So that’s the reason why they’re probably using it to package cards, even though it’s sad
Where would you get the American follow albums? I didn't even know there was American and Korean versions. Does the American version just come with the postcards? Is that the only difference.
Ok that part when the trader/seller packaged the fricken card in a fricken Ateez album page hurt my heart so much😩 no group or anything deserves that. It doesn’t matter if you don’t have cardboard, bundle some copy paper together and package it that way. But it’s clear that the person either had no regard for the correct and safe way to ship photocards or they’re a new trader/seller who doesn’t know. Either way this still hurts my heart and it’s sad people do that to other groups. I wouldn’t be trading with that person anymore if that happened to me🤭

SHINee Japanese photocards are such a pain to collect. They're usually super expensive 🥺 I recently saw a single 3 2 1 Onew for $30 Although I suppose I shouldnt complain too much because I found SHINee in Wonderland, an almost complete collection and bought it 😵
