How the Diet Office delivers meals to patients

Nutrition is an important part of a person's recovery. When patients in our three hospitals - Martin Medical Center, Martin Hospital South and Tradition Medical Center - order a meal, they call the Diet Office.

I did this type of work for over 10 years. You really get to know some of your patients (the frequent flyer types) just by ordering their meals. It was sometimes boring when census is low and most patients don’t care. Opposite when you have high census you don’t have time to help everyone who needs help.
