Interested in this shoe. I really like the toe rubber on the new Boostic. Despite the shoe being quite tight ( downsized from 43.5->42.0 ), that toe rubber does have a lot more give than other shoes and my toe knuckle is quite comfortable. Id like that in a gym shoe also.
It's noticeable how much attention Scarpa pay to that sort of thing. I've reviewed various shoes that have had a fairly standard rubber slapped on over the toe and the result is pretty painful, taking a long time to wear in, whereas with Scarpa this is infrequently the case (unless you size them incorrectly). The Instinct SR makes for a great gym shoe, and virtually everything else shoe, being both comfortable and impressively technical too. I'm really looking forward to see how these are in comparison.
Let me send a quick message to see. Last I heard they were imminent, and the Mago has literally just arrived, so the Instinct Slipper shouldn't be too far behind. Much like you, I'm massively excited for this product!!
@@ZacharyWinters7 Good news, they're arriving in the UK this week and should be available in stores next week. We'll get a pair into review, which - pending getting the conditions to go out and use them - I'll do my best to write-up ASAP.
I've sized up exactly the same - hence was a 41 in the Instinct SR and am a 41 in the Instinct S. Certainly no need to go down half a size, unless you found the SRs you've previously used a little on the large side.
@@TheChismFamily Hi Doug, thankfully there's an easy answer to this one, as I'm exactly the same size in both the Slipper, VS and VSR - hence there's no need to change sizes.
I received the review pair about a week and a half ago, so it'll likely be a few weeks before the review is out (usually we say somewhere between 4-6 weeks minimum, but occasionally it takes longer). The reason for this is simply so that we've actually got time to use them, formulate an opinion, then use them some more. We want anything we say to be grounded in that usage. That said, having used them over the last week and a half I can confirm that unless something fairly radical happens it's going to be a pretty glowing report, because they really are amazing.

@@ukclimbingofficial Whats the sizing like compared to the VS? It looks a bit roomier, maybe 1/2 size down in the slipper?
Ok it's January 2022, any word on when these will become available? My original orange Instinct S are blowing out and I'd love to replace them!

@@ukclimbingofficial Thx, looking forward to the write up. I noticed some places had them on pre-order.
@@ukclimbingofficial 👌 excellent!!
Man these look sick will be a toss up between these and the la sportiva mantra for a new training slipper .
Get them on your feet and go with whichever feels best 🙂
As far as sizing goes how do these compare to the Instinct SR? Would it be smart to size down a half size to a 43 for the Instinct S?
I've sized up exactly the same - hence was a 41 in the Instinct SR and am a 41 in the Instinct S. Certainly no need to go down half a size, unless you found the SRs you've previously used a little on the large side.
@@ukclimbingofficial Thank you for the information!
@@ukclimbingofficial And is that the same size you run in the normal Instinct line? Ive never owned the slipper but have worn a VS and VSR previously.

Is this softer than the women's VS/standard VSR?
Will it replace the other vsr ?
It will replace the existing Instinct SR. The VSR will stay the same, you'll be glad to hear!!
Do you have a review up for these shoes yet?
