I remember being in college when American gangster came out, I never understood why people thought the album was great, there was only maybe two songs on the whole project that I even enjoyed. I'm going to have to try and give it another listen but I remember enjoying Kingdom come more than American gangster.
I personally think there is only 2 maybe 3 skips on this album. The strongest songs would be Pray, American Dreamin, Sweet, Party Life, Ignorant Sh*, Say Hello and Fallin. I wouldn't say its a timeless classic. But for that year and what Jay did lyrically, I feel this album put Jay back in the mix. Because alot of people felt Kingdom Come wasn't a great comeback album after he retired.
