I fell in love with binge watching book annotating. And now I do it also!!!! There's just something therapeutic about seeing a book full of tabs and personalize note taking!
This is my favorite of your videos! I look forward to it each month. 🐍 Also, I legit think a sticker with your quote “Life is too short to be feeling guilty about notebooks” would be awesome. 😊
🐍 you have such boundless energy and I want to thank you for sharing with us. I am a quilter and retired teacher. I would use the Archer & Olive notebook as a project keeper. I want to tell the story of each quilt I make. Who is it for, for what occasion, how did I choose the colors and pattern. Also to sketch the design ideas, what was the process like, how was it quilted, where and how was it presented. All with pictures of course. Just like your books, every quilt is a small masterpiece. Every stitch is filled love and positive thoughts for the person who will receive it. This would make a wonderful keepsake journal. Kind of like your plotting journal only with fabric rather than words. I hope Evie has a fantastic birthday weekend. She sounds precious.
@@withintheword I do have a channel, CrystalClearLife, which focuses a lot on digital planning, but this kind of notebook should be physical for a fabric swatches and photos. I'll keep you posted.
As an aspiring writer, I love your monthly Notebook Challenge. I still hope to fill up all of mine with-to quote the great psychologist Jung-“memories, dreams, and reflections.”
Love all of these! Also love that you're doing what works best for you and changing it up when you find something's not working. That really empowers me to do the same, so thank you!! Miss the flip throughs so I hope you'll do some now and then, again. Happy Birthday to Evie!! Love that YA cover and will go pick it up. Love the snake notebook - so cool! - I almost bought that one but hesitated. Would love to win it. Grins. I would use it for meetings as you mentioned - I have three coaches! - and that would differentiate those meetings. 🐍 For anyone's who's reading this and wondering, TAKE THE HB90!! (It saved my sanity)
I love watching all the creative ways you use your notebooks! So many ideas every month! 🎉Happy Birthday Evie🎉 ❤❤ I miss your planner flip through videos too.
I bought that diverse read as soon as I saw the cover, ha! Very much needed this! And I think part of doing the long-hand three morning pages is that we continue to complain about the same things and either start to make changes that will help change the circumstances or we learn to not keep complaining. I've seen big changes in myself over and over again when doing them. I've been doing them (on and off) for 24 years! Also, LOVE the giveaway notebook this month!
Thank you for your constant wonderful tips on how to make the most of our notebooks! I'm glad you were able to rediscover your love of writing by starting a notebook to get inspiration from other books/movies/anime. I have started a gratitude/manifestation journal and it has given me renewed hope and strength to pursue my dreams. Super excited to take the HB90 course again! Learned so much about managing my time and setting up realistic goals by accurately calculating how much time I actually can dedicate to my writing.
I love these videos! I love seeing how other people use their notebooks and their systems. It's also a lovely reminder that using a notebook is what makes it beautiful.
When you uploaded the monthly notebook challenge video again, it always makes me so happy! I’ve watched it with coffee while my two boys were asleep! 😄👍🏼 Love the 🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍 notebook! I’ve some great ideas for the black pages. Congratulations with your daughter! 🎉
Hey, I’m also a classically trained vocalist who listens to Ella! I love your channel, and I just joined HB90-sooo excited 🎉 thank you thank you thank you ❤
Thanks for sharing this video! I appreciate you sharing links to Amazon, sales pages, and especially Etsy shops/creators that we can support and get decorative items for our planners and journals. I always have to pause the video and "side shop".
🐍 that snake notebook is amazing!!! I love the notebook challenge videos so much. I would also love love love to see planner set up/flip in your A5 rings. 🐍
I got 2 of those Erin Condren daily priority notebooks, too. Mine are waiting for me to finish the first draft of my book and I plan to use it for editing and going forward. The fact that they're undated is awesome!
Your videos are so inspirational and I love the new ideas for notebook use. I bought an academic Erin Condren planner but it was too small for my lesson plans so I ended up buying a teacher one. I felt so guilty that I wasted money on the academic planner and those are dated. Now I plan to use it for a nightly spiritual practice. I am so thankful for your videos and yes, I miss the A5 flip through videos and plan with me videos. They were so much fun.
🐍 love the monthly challenges. I'm doing Laura Vanderkam's time tracking challenge coming up along with HB90 for my master's final capstone project! Love how versatile HB90 is. I've used it for personal, work (teacher) and grad school. ❤ Thank-you for all you do for your community.
Love hearing how you use your journals! Your joy for something simple like notebooks is refreshing! You have such nice ideas like the habit tracker notebook! I need to focus more on self-care! I found some others RUclips channels that mentioned there wellness journals like Mariane Cresp weekly fitness tracker video, JashiiCorrin self-care bingo video, NPerfect Plans self-care planning video, and Breana kechelle fitness journal videos! I thinking of just using a 1 dollar notebook, that will help with motivation for fitness and self-care. Wishing everyone here health and happiness!
My favorite time of the month: Notebook Challenge! I'm obsessed with the B6 Stalogy. It's probably my favorite for journaling and note taking....though, my current series notes are in an Archer and Olive. The KiKi K (probably spelled wrong) are super cute! And, last but certainly not least---HB90 is life changing. I use a version for home and a version for my day job. Anyone on the fence needs to take the plunge!
Omg 4!! Such a fun age! Happy birthday Evie! This book looks great! And as always I love the notebook challenge. I am really excited for your future annotation video! 🐍
Long before email or texting I would write letters to friends and family. The Hallmark stores and the stationary stores were like magnets to me. Pens, papers and matching envelopes were my addiction. So I get notebooks. 😊 I used to feel guilty about not using them, not anymore I have them just for the smile I have when I see them. Always enjoy your channel ❤ 📚🐍🌸
for 2024 I am moving to a Wonderland 222. I got the smaller planner with 92 blank pages in the back then 192 page notebook from them that will fit nicely in my cover. I can't wait till they arrive. I chose a stacked weekend so the colums are wider than a cousin. My weekends never have much on them so it will be great.
OMGosh the story journal set up is what I watched over and over again when I first found you. I set up one for myself watching your set up as inspiration. I would totally watch another set up video. Also, ready for the annotation video! You're not Supposed to Die Tonight is on my TBR!
🐍 When you we’re going over which of the three covers to use for one of your reading/story notebook I absolutely loved the mint cover. I think it pairs well for a color story with the blush and purples that you are already using and helps break it up a bit. I love watching these videos because I have so many notebooks to get through myself and this also helps give me ideas on what I can be using them for. I am a multi-notebook user as well and it’s hard for me to just use one for everything.
I started morning pages again in March, having not continued with them in the past, and this time they stuck and I haven't missed a day. After a few weeks it stopped being random thoughts and it became a lot of really insightful notes about the book(s) I'm writing. I'm using a Leuchtturm and I used the TOC at the front to list page numbers for the days when there is info I need to use for my novel. Sometimes I don't do exactly 3 pages so it's OK to just 2.5 or whatever works.
Also, my latest diverse reads are the Perveen Mistry series by Sujata Massey, learning about India's (fictional) first woman solicitor. And I'm a slytherin! 🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍
I also absolutely love my stalogies. I've tried all of the sizes. The A5 is a great size, but the grid is too small for my giant handwriting lol! I use just cheapo composition books for things like budget and goal setting, but if I want to make it fancy, I put it in a pretty cover and/or I use a molskine notebook. Thank you for creating this community where we can geek out over our notebooks and planners! It's so fun to watch you go through how you're using yours, and to read how other people are using their notebooks and planners🙂
I've always loved your notebook challenges, and appreciate that you always take the time to list your links. Finally, I can't believe I've been following you since before you were pregnant with Evie! Happy Birthday, Evie!❤🐍
That A & O notebook is good for memory keeping or as a junk journal; it could also work as a bujo and as a reading planner. Frankly it works for anything imo.
I love the variety of notebooks you use! I'd write letters to people I'll never send to work out exasperations and frustrations about things I'm finally ready to release. Having the different colors could designate the difference between family, friends, and co-workers. Thanks for the inspiration🐍🎉❤
🐍 You're Not Supposed to Die Tonight sounds amazing. I might have to pick that one up too. I'm where you are with having a need to shift my systems so I get switching around the notebooks. I have been lurking around since the beginning and one of my favorite things was the planner/notebook flip thoughts. Definitely bring those back if you can find the time for it.
I'd love to see more about your Stalogy notebook when you set it up. I always get great ideas from your videos. Love the snake notebook! I pulled a snake in my oracle card draw for October, and if am lucky and win it, I think I'd use it for my oracle card draws and journalling about the symbolism in the cards.
Love your notebook challenges! So much fun. I’m obsessed. Using a new Lihit A5 cover (love all the utility pockets!) packed with 2 cute notebooks from a recent Michael’s sale for my morning pages.
I like how you mention our notebook preferences change. I use Archer and Olive for my Book of Shadows every year but have found that I love the Wonderland 222 notebooks in both A5 and B6 for most all of my other notebook needs. 🐍
I am obsessed with A5 stalogies. I use them for everything now. Thanks for introducing me to this brand! And congrats on your upcoming new release! So happy for you!
I didn't know you were a horror movie buff, too! I've been watching since long before Evie was born - can't believe she's turning 4!! I will happily watch planner flip-thrus. I love the 🐍 notebook, but I am still IN LOVE with the Hobonichi Cousin you sent me in January.❤❤❤
OMG! I can’t believe she is turning 4 already! Where did the time go? I haven’t been able to catch a notebook challenge in so long 😞. I just pulled my notebooks out. I’m looking forward to getting back into what I’m passionate about. It has been a few years for me. I know that I’m going to start a commonplace notebook as I work on myself. That snake notebook is beautiful! 🐍 It would be a perfect witchy/tarot/spiritual journal.
I look forward to the notebook challenge every month! :) i'm actually doing all my planning in a bullet journal (A&O are my favorite) because my laptop died last month and i no longer have the hb90 planner file, but i need the system in order to function haha. Its working well!! Happy Birthday to sweet Evie! You were pregnant in the first videos i saw from you
CONGRATULATIONS!!! YOU ARE THE WINNER OF THE ARCHER & OLIVE NOTEBOOK! Please email me at sarra@heartbreathings.com with your full name and mailing address. Thank you!
I would love to see a video of your "new" story inspiration journal...I started one after watching your video and unfortunately I had the same problem with keeping up with it...I do have some plans to work on it more this month, but we'll see how that goes!!!
My favorite videos!!!! ❤❤❤ I did not buy any Hobonichi products this year, although I am going to get a Drawer Pouch off Amazon for myself later. Your Chic Sparrow cover is GOALS! I’m babying mine too much. 😅 Edit: When I read craft books, I write in the margins, highlight, and then tab the page as I read. Then after I finish the book, I go into my designated notebook and copy down all the quotes and what I wrote down. It’s very helpful! I read at least one craft book a month!
I've been wanting to try Archer and Olive for ages! I'm already looking for my 2024 planners. I'm tossing up between getting a new 6 ring binder with dot paper inserts, or getting 4 new bullet journals (because I really loved breaking my planners down quarterly this year and want to do the same for 2024, but the planners I got this year don't have enough pages for daily pages). I had an overall 2023 planner that I basically stopped using after February. I stopped adding my reading, my movies, the new shows I was trying, all of that. I also have the same problem with morning pages! I spent maybe a mont doing them and realised it was only adding to my anxiety for the day and literally stopping me from working the way I should have been. So unfortunately it's a half finished journal that I may not return to. I would like to learn Tarot though and pull cards in the morning, so i could pick up that journal again for that use.
YAAAAS for the annotating. I annotate most books. Always anything Non-Fic, but also some fiction. After I then go through and jot main notes/themes/key info into a notebook too as I need the repetition to get it to sink into my head:)😊
That 🐍notebook is beautiful! Every time I watch your notebook videos I feel a little less guilty owning a collection of my notebooks. Thanks for sharing!
I myself am not a writer but when i was a kid i wanted to be. One day at a garage sale down the street they were selling a typewriter and i begged my dad to get it for me which he did (he was mad that he had to) so i cane home every day after school and started writing a "book." After school one day I quietly walked into my classroom (i was shy) and showed it to my 4th grade teacher. She took it, read it, and told me that I had a lot of talent to be a writer. That year my parents separated and i never wrote again. But i have a notebook (an old one) that i have wrote beginnings to stories over the years. Now my 16 year old daughter wants to be a writer and always has written stories since she was in 3rd or 4th grade. She carries a Journal, and he little lap top EVERYWHERE we go and write stories. Lots of times i find her awake in the middle of a school night and she is writing. She says "Im in a spot where I cant give up writing." I let her stay up...probably a bad mom move but I dont want her to give up her dream of becoming a writer. ❤❤❤ i just wanted you to hear that because i enjoy watching your videos and she watches them with me too sometimes. Enjoy your journals, I love the stalogy for writing also. Hope your daughter had a wonderful birthday 🎂 🥳
This year, I've been using Tara Reid's Rad and Happy Creative planner, which has a lot of blank brainstorming pages, as a general catch-all; Amanda Rach Lee's A5 dotted notebook in lavender for story planning; and a pocket-sized Moleskin lined notebook in white for times I want a notebook with me but don't need a big one. I skip around a lot in story planning, and with my current project, I've been working on it for about six years and have filled numerous notebooks with thoughts and ideas about it. I'm consolidating my notes in digital apps instead, like Plottr and Bear, so I can have it all in one place. 🐍I love the Neopolitan style! It would give me a reason to use more of my pens. I would probably use it as a story notebook for one of the serials I'm planning, with either each section of paper for a new season or each section for a different arc or couple in the soap opera-like one.
🐍🐍🐍I love the Archer and Olive notebooks, and I can't believe that they have ones with coloured pages! I'd be using that one for my Art Therapy journal, I was diagnosed with (and Beat!) Cancer last year, and I find that the combination of writing and drawing has really helped me get better mentally as well as physically! Thank you so much for even doing this giveaway!
Happy birthday to Evie! It's hard to believe she's gotten so big. That little Kuromi notebook is just perfect for her. I recently decided to start keeping progress journals for each book series I write. Since I'm an artist in addition to being an author, it's really fun to have my plotting, brain dumps, random scene ideas, and character sketches all in one place. My husband had given me a tiny kraft paper notebook for sketching and I love it, but it's too small to write in! 🐍
I love the notebook challenges, it motivates me to do something with the ones I have! thanks so much! 🐍 Now I'm going to look for a B6 Stalogy because it looks right up my alley!
I've very recently started reconnecting with my beloved series that I've been trying to write for literally decades. As such, I've gone back to another favorite: my pink May Designs TN that my bestie gave me several years ago. The inserts I'm using are a Webster's Pages monthly/weekly combo, an unbranded dot grid for bullet journaling, and a plain paper insert made by a former friend that I had set up for writing-related notes but barely used. The pages are filling up more quickly now, so I'm very happy! I went thru a period of using a composition notebook, then a spiral notebook as my EDC. That worked for a little while, but I started missing the structure of a pre-made planner, so that's why I returned to my trusty old TN. Also recently, my bestie hooked me up with another pink TN cover, this time around a B6 size. I put a dot grid insert into it and have started using it as my on-the-go "everything" journal. Still working on filling up my Good Juju journal as well! I'm also using a 2023 monthly planner I bought from Walmart that has goal planning and "currently" sections between the months. I don't know if I'll buy a similar one for 2024, but I might. Not entering the giveaway this time, but if I were, I'd use it for memory keeping. That paper is probably perfect for holding photos, stickers, washi, etc. Good luck to the people who are entering! 💖
I would use the notebook for art; mixed media spreads, I agree with you. We tend to see what everyone else is using, and we go on a buying spree. Only to realize it just doesn't work. I decided to also use a B6 Stalogy for my plotting notebook. And if I didn't already have a lot of notebooks- I decided to design my own notebooks, which I love. My top favorites, though, would be my designs; the stalogy and commit 30 planners. I've been really wanting to purchase jelly sheets to make covers for the ones I'm currently using. 🐍
I fell in love with binge watching book annotating. And now I do it also!!!! There's just something therapeutic about seeing a book full of tabs and personalize note taking!
I so agree!!!❤❤

Speaking of Jung, active imagination is another lovely way to fill notebooks. 😊
Agreed my collection is just full and I have yet to finish one notebook.
Morning pages have changed my life! I alternate from a notebook and an old typewriter when I am feeling aesthetic hehe
Your notebook challenge is the one YT video I look forward to every month.

I love watching your videos. They are always so positive and I am always inspired. 🐍
I'm so glad!
🐍🐍 Love that Archer and Olive! Happy 4th Birthday, Evie!
Love your notebook challenges! So much fun. I’m obsessed. Using a new Lihit A5 cover (love all the utility pockets!) packed with 2 cute notebooks from a recent Michael’s sale for my morning pages.
I’m currently using a stalogy as a memory keeper, an archer and olive for my reading journal and my iPad for digital planner 😊
I like how you mention our notebook preferences change. I use Archer and Olive for my Book of Shadows every year but have found that I love the Wonderland 222 notebooks in both A5 and B6 for most all of my other notebook needs. 🐍
I always look forward to the Notebook Challenge! 🐍 Thanks for doing it every month, Sarra! Notebooks make my heart so happy.
I'm really looking forward to your annotations video! 🤩
Omgoodness, Evie is going to be four?! It doesn't seem possible. Happy Birthday sweet girl.
Have a blessed day
My favorite videos!!!! ❤❤❤ I did not buy any Hobonichi products this year, although I am going to get a Drawer Pouch off Amazon for myself later.
Your Chic Sparrow cover is GOALS! I’m babying mine too much. 😅
Edit: When I read craft books, I write in the margins, highlight, and then tab the page as I read.
I'd love to see more planner flips!
Aw this warmed my heart. Not a bad parent at all! You're supporting her. Don't give up if you still have the dream to write, it's never too late!
❤, excited about the annotating video soon!!
I love those dragonfly pink covers. If I win the snake journal, I'll definitely be using it for a Fall journal.
I always love these videos! I would use the snake journal as daily writing/junk journal🐍
I love how your kiddo chimed in right as you’re talking about Christopher Pike in such a traditional manner you’d hear a killer call out with lol
🐍Love your content! You always give me great ideas on how to use my notebooks and organize my life! Thank you 🙏💜
I love using Archer & Olive notebooks for long term collections, and reference notes. 🐍🐍🐍
these videos always make me want to journal. love the inspiration! 🐍
I got some new notebooks for my birthday in May. I have started two of my new notebooks. They are beautiful! They will take a while to fill up.
I placed an order a few days ago. So excited to get it. I am using a Techo this year but need something bigger. Can’t wait.
