Make sure you grab a riot shield before going up the rope and after you’ve detonated the vehicle hide in the room in the tower after that hug the wall on the left with the riot shield out(you have to aim it slightly downwards) thats how I managed to get past it on veteran with this bug

From what I’ve read other people do is either turn down the difficulty and hide in the tower and run when you see you can go down the rope or restart the whole mission from the beginning. If you’re on veteran difficulty you’ve got no chance of running to the rope cause you get sniped down immediately. The riot shield was the best and safest option i could come up with. I tried hit the npc down below with a flash grenade and tear gas to try trigger them to move up the rope but had no joy. You can pick up a riot shield just before you get to the bit where you climb up the rope. Hope this helps

OMMMGGG I FINALLY BEAT IT!!! I layed prone next to everyone, when he says time to go Sargent it's stuck waiting for Roldof to show up, once he comes up the rope becomes available
Hey guys I figured out a way to do this on Veteran without the riot shield. So as soon as you kill all the dudes and are waiting for the other dude to pop up, go prone next to Ghost and Gaz and use them as meatshields against the invisible snipers. For some reason, they get hit by the snipers, then you just wait until everyone repels down the rope, and then you can go down.
Prone next to rope after everyone in ur crew goes down, move around try to dodge bullets to get to full health. Stand up really quickly and hold down x on the rope for like a millisecond and you’ll get it ❤️ amazing campaign, screw this glitch
I have tried this workaround several times (hiding in the tower) but it doesn’t work! So I have restarted the mission at the begin, it will takes less then one hour and then it works fine. You will be able to complete this mission.
I restarted the mission and still doesn’t fix it. Never played a campaign where it’s so bugged out where it won’t let me finish it. Guess I’ll just a month for an update.

Got a workaround! When you take of the two apc with the grenade launcher go hide in the tower and then wait until everyone except price goes down then it should let you decend
Ok glad i am not the only one - the npc allies block me from getting pass, and if they do move the repel down icon wont appear, great game but things like this break the immersion. Edit - thx for the tips, i put it on easy hid in the tower and it triggered all npc s to finally move and repel down lol - i equipped smoke grenades and ran to the rope and just barely survived on the easiest setting lol.
If I lower difficulty for just those few seconds it takes from tower to the rope, and as soon as I’m on the rope I change it back, will it still count that I did the mission and essentially the whole campaign on higher difficulty?
Well, that sounds crazy. I waited at the tower before colonel helps his friend and when our guys go to the ropes. I ran out the tower to the rope throwing flashes under my feet and clicking "F". Because of that "flashbang effect on me", snipers can't kill me in 2 bullets and I did it on the Veteran.
i pretty much hid in the tower after killing everything. threw all my flash bangs and smoke then picked up the spares in the tower. your pretty much waiting for Alejandro partner to get up the rope. then ues your remaining smoke and book it to the rope and hope to fucking god you dont get 2 shot
I also got stuck at the end but what I did was once I got to the part where the Shadow soldiers came out of the tower from your immediate right I kinda hid in there until both vehicles that are to be detonated were both on screen. I blew up the second one first snd left the first one alone for a while.. idk … like a minute or so then Suddenly Rodolfo climbs back and they tell you get on the rope but yet they still just hang out for a bit lol I started lobbing smoke grenades at them and suddenly the icon for me to jump appear. I will say by this point the snipers are really trying to end you so it difficult fast. I make over as quickly as possible and that’s it.
Frigging Realism mode... Bang dead! Holding in tower and they eventually go down the rope which activates the ping but can't get there without getting shot. Will have to restart and get a riot shield.
Yeah I’ve seen people say this but if Gaz, Ghost, and Alejandro start going down the rope you don’t even have the bug… that’s what’s suppose to happen your suppose to be second to last before Price. The bug is when their dialogue plays to go down the rope but then are just standing there getting shot. And no amount of waiting in the tower is going to fix it, you have to restart the mission.
PIN MY COMMENT: you can fix this bug by when the time to go down happens just throw all gas grenades and smokes at the crew and they will all run to the rope
Make sure the smokes are not falling threw the floor, you want to throw them on the side and when it goes off they move to the rope a little bit, keep doing that until they hope down the rope then you should be good

I’ve only been trying to use that rope for 2 days not wanted to restart the mission on veteran 😂

Stay proned before it, whenever he tells you to go down the rope. Prone next to it then do that, sorry for the mishap
Also, it is key to use your buddies as meatshields, Ghost, and Gaz will absorb the shots for some reason.

I restarted the task 20 times. But they're not coming off the rope. How many minutes I waited. But it doesn't. I stayed in this section. What do I do

I did many of these myself, and i think the only thing that really works are statting the mission all over again
Use theam as meatshields, lay down between gaz and ghost and after like 60 secs the rope becomes available

I finally got it! I just played nronaly until ghost/price or whoever said it’s time to go down the rope then I stood in the guard tower
