- I now know that NF’s name is Nate. Thank you all for commenting on my last video and asking for more NF. This song, titled “The Search” is NF’s quest for the map. The map that leads to healing, that leads to answers for his struggles with mental illness, anxiety, and suicide, to name a few. Through song and cinematic mastery, NF creates a dialogue for all of us over the battle that rage in our minds. Thanks to NF for sharing.

I am pretty sure that his Grand Father was a Pastor. He is a very spiritual person and his Faith lays with God. He is such a special person. I love your reactions. I always feel better after watching one.

Awesome reaction man! Love the input and hearing your thoughts on this. You really should go on a full NF journey and listen to his stuff in order because it’s like one long story and each album continuing it.

So you would really be surprised by this song..”the wrong side of heaven” by five finger death punch..it has meaning..even “hold onto memories” by disturbed…also did “the sound of silence” hope you consider doing these songs, has a lot of meaning to them..

A thought just occured to me, relating burdons to a weight would be less erious then compairing them to balloons. As an experiment pick up a weight and do a task. If you go to do something you will have to set the "burden" down to do it therefore its not affecting your ability. Now fill up 4 or so balloons and tie them to your wrist or hand for the same task. They are still there impeding you, and if you push them down they eventually come back up. And if you add faith to it, you could let them go to float away, or share them with others, if you allow yourself too. Was a random thought. Might be an actual thing for a sermon, just tie a few to your hands and do the whole thing without saying anything about them until the end.
Intriguing. I am curious if they are balloons, which are weightless, because Jesus has taken the weight of those burdens. Nate still struggles with them, but the weight is gone? was another idea I had while listening again.
@pastormatt216 they are weightless but as long as they are attached to you they would impair your life. If you let them go they wouldn't impair you at all. However if you attach them to your wrist and "hold on to them" they will impair even the easiest of things.
Another aspect of balloons is that they are almost 100% of the time a happy object. Birthdays, clowns, weddings, etc. They could represent that even seemingly happy moments are tainted with his black burdens.
