Sir, I appreciate your look at this..... But I think your missing the point. You kept talking about victory and winning... Etc. He said it, it's a dance..... There is no victory. You have to learn to live with the bad/deficient side of yourself and with your past. It's part of you. There is no light without the dark. No happy without sad. No laughter without sorrow. We must learn to embrace the times of darkness. If you try to fight it..... You will be fighting a battle that can't be won. "The only smart move is not to play"...Wargames movie.

It always astonishes me how little these pastors know about the spiritual nature of things, of the beings they speak of... I have yet to see a reaction that realizes what he is saying between the lines on top of that. Everyone is so captured by their ego and wanting to be seen as someone who can be perceived as someone similar. He has realized who and what he is and what this life is. Why his struggles and his shadow are not only necessary but something that places us in a position that the gods, demons, and angels will never understand. It is riddled with occult wisdom and I would even go as far as to say it would be his great work in initiation. So to address this silly man's idea of "Satan"... first of all Satan is not biblical nor is it a Christian term. It is Islamic and it is actually pronounced "Ha'Satan" and it means adversary. Lucifer is not a demon, lucifer is a fallen angel. Demons and angels are not the same thing and what most pastors confuse to be one "devil" is actually not one being but a term used to signify different beings. They do not take the time to truly explore openly the spirit of God or the various facets of shadow. They turn away from that which dwells in all of us and doesn't exist to be destroyed or eliminated or defeated. It is there to be integrated and transmuted. Then it becomes light of the light. We are the bridge between the light and the dark. We are the reconciliation of the paradoxes and it all comes down to a choice. Ren here has realized that and he "chose". That is how the "chosen" are determined. By the decisions they have made. They are not born chosen. I see you Ren... I see you because we find ourselves a part of the bigger picture and the conduit for the will of the divine to manifest in form in this dimension. It is all for too intricate and complex to be able to color it white and black. Good and evil. Those are two halves of the same coin. You are the coin. I'm not judging. Just observing.

Genesis 1 is ELOHIM (Lucifer and the fallen angels). They made man in their image. (tares) Man is an idol, a trap to hunt angels. Genesis 2:7 the Lord God forms His representative in their system. (wheat) One Gospel: Gospel (GOOD ANGEL) of Reconciliation. Jesus Christ came into THEIR kingdom to reconcile fallen angels unto Himself. We are the fallen angels (ELOHIM) kept in DNA chains of darkness. If you do not confess being a fallen angel in Lucifer's kingdom, then you are an unbeliever. Unbeliever = those that claim to be made in the image of ELOHIM(gods). REPENT FALLEN ANGELS.

Dude, this was a reaction video that was so awesome. The non judemental, genuinely trying to understand what he's saying, and trying to relate is powerful. I'm still in my journey for faith but the reaction from a Pastor so non-judgmental is so encourgaing to just keep showing up. Thank you for that.

So REN apparently had a misdiagnosis of mental disorders and treatment. After seeking additional medical testing it was discovered he had Lyme Disease and finally received proper treatment. This young man has had some real obstacles in life so far. This is his internal battle with evil that gives you doubt and self belittling, all the things that make you want to give up. At the end he proclaims he will fight the darkness and prosper…… This song is absolutely beautiful and so creative!!

While I don't share your faith or beliefs, I really really appreciate your perspective on this. It's very interesting to compare to my thoughts on the subject that stems from other sources than religion. I can even see a lot of similarities in our thoughts at times. Thank you for this reaction!

Ren got a call from a friend at 3am from a friend saying that their friend Joe was standing on the edge of a bridge. Ren knew it was at least a 10 minute walk, but he knew he could run it in 5. As he was running he kept trying to call his friend and kept getting a busy signal, which he saw as a good sign because it meant Joe was on the phone with someone. Then just before he got there, the phone tone was disconnected. 5 minutes. They never found Joe’s body and so Ren felt like he never got to say goodbye to his friend. He carried that weight with him. REN’s music has changed parts of my soul and heart in ways he will never know.

I grew up in church, and turned my back on God because of the church and the people who run the church blindly. I turned back to faith around 10 years ago, got plugged into an awesome church, and was a drummer on the worship team for a while. I left a year or so ago, and in July of 2023, my wife and I lost our daughter. She was still born, and all anyone told me was “God has a plan.” Which honestly pissed me off. There was no rhyme or reason, and it sent me into a massive spiral. My wife and I just started going back to church a couple months ago, and found out, after months of trying, and just having given up, that we are pregnant and expecting a baby ( 🤞🏻 it is a girl) in March. Loss is tough. No matter who it is or what your faith, beliefs, or anything is. But I will say, don’t go through the tough times alone, and don’t be afraid to cry, to scream, to show emotion.

I am amazed that so many people even care how a Pastor reacts to Ren. Next we will have a Librarian reacts to Ren, a Housewife reacts to Ren, a South American tribesman reacts to Ren...Ren is an amazing artist from Wales, my home country, and he has overcome huge obstacles to achieve and create his art. It seems unnecessary to constantly see these reaction videos as if he is some kind of freak show. Appreciate his art for what it is, it is unnecessary to focus on his health and mental state constantly. His art is about mental health awareness in general and not merely his own. Focus on the message and the music not on Ren himself. Celebrity and fame create their own form of mental health issues.

While I appreciate your acknowledgement of how the church fails to understand mental illness, I truly believe you've missed the deepest and truest message that most people feel Ren delivers with this song. The most simplistic way for me to put is that the answer to overcoming the inner struggle between the light and the darkness can not be found by external influences but from the acceptance of the duality within. Once we accept our inner struggle as just being part if human nature we can stop fighting the battle and become balanced. The philosopher Carl Jung best described this battle as "The Duality of Man." And I'd suggest you read up on his works as well as other philosophers so that you can better understand the nature of man, because without a deep understanding of this nature your words will truly fail to help people.

This song has been very comforting in times when I’m so unsure. I’m trying to rediscover God after leaving him almost 8 years ago and it’s so difficult when part of my mind still pulls me back into the ideology of “I can do this myself” and “God wouldn’t let this happen if he was real” even though I know this is not true. I found this video after looking for pastors reactions to it, so I can hear “answers” and what they have to say, and I want to thank you because your video has had a positive impact on my journey. I keep coming back to your video when the darkness creeps back in because of the encouragement and explanations you so perfectly convey. Again, thank you❤️

I think the good/evil symbolizes the conscience and subconscious. The angel amd devil on our shoulders. I've often heard non-religious people equate the devel to the ego and God is representative of our conscience..tons of symbolism here and regardless of religious beliefs, I think we can all relate to that battle or inner dialog we all experience at one time or another where we feel confident on one hand and want to believe in ourselves but the insecurities creep in and the negative self talk and doubt steps in- like we are betrayed by our very own minds.

I have listened to this song a lot and watched a lot of reactors experience this song. I tear up every time. I lost my brother to su1c1de roughly 20 years ago, so I know the pain and the regret. Your prayer at the end literally stopped me from what I was doing and forced me to focus on your words, to empower your intentions with my attention. It's the best response I've ever heard to this song and it was perfect. Thank you for sharing your story and pain with us. You are not alone and you helped us to see we aren't alone, either.

I love how every reaction I watch is correct. You reacters always deconstruct and interpret his words, and you say certain things as you listen- and later on in the song, he says the same things. I think that speaks to how normal this feeling is and how it's within every single one of us.

First God blessed me to this day March 10, 2012 was the last night I’ve picked up and drank alcohol. For me I’ve been surrounded by alcohol my whole life. Just not to the degree I was doing it. First drink was at 20 at 24 I had 2-6 beers under my bed for when I woke up so I could be calm and talk to others. My childhood was good but I made it bad. My drinking affected my whole family and any relationship I’ve had and at times still to this day. Fun fact Dax wrote this song sober. His work is 🔥.

I, as a Christian that struggles with Schizoaffective Disorder and a debilitating seizure disorder from PTSD and long term childhood trauma... I want to say to you Pastor, THANK YOU! You get us, and you do not quickly dismiss our mental struggles but you truly try and understand the exhausting fight we live in every second of every day. I pray for strength and guidance from God to carry me through, and bring me comfort in the Word. And I pray for hope, for not only my future.. but all of God's children stricken with these horrible demons in our heads. And you Sir, as a Pastor, give me hope as well, in our faith. This is awesome man. I’m 32 years old and have grown up my whole life with my dad being a pastor/praise and worship leader. I showed this song to him tonight and when it finished he said “that was the most talent I think I’ve ever seen any musician have” and then I open my phone and your video was the first thing I saw (crazy coincidence) it’s cool hearing pastors who don’t judge or just take the whole thing wrong.
