Wasn’t it Bru who came down with the clutch catch at the end of the Bama game?

You're underselling Bru. If he comes back as good as he was before injury, I think he is elite. He was clutch in big moments in 2022. I would say as clutch as anyone in the SEC now.

Bru was explosive and that is what helped him get open along with his height/size/strength. Top end speed isn’t great but there have been plenty of great and very productive WR’s without elite speed. Bru had a skillset that allowed him to get open and he was our best blocking WR which we missed for sure on those quick passes to the outside. He was also a good 3rd down WR who could move the sticks. If he can be as explosive as he was before then he will be very good. His speed wasn’t what made Bru a weapon.

Squirrel white is SO underrated. I’d argue that if he had Hendo for one more year, then he’d have had an almost Hyatt-esque season last year. He’s our big playmaker

I'm sorry but bull shit. Bru is an elite receiver. As long as he's healthy he's as good as anyone in the country. And if our front 7 is as good as advertised, even a minor step up in the secondary and TN will be able to compete w anyone in the nation

If football players should get more because its a revenue positive sport; then following that same logic UT should have a bigger revenue share than a school like Vanderbilt right? The product that UT puts on the field generates more revenue than vandy does. But you can imagine the even greater disparity this could cause in all sports. Just wondering your thoughts. Love the show GBO.
One possible solution could be equal monthly payments to all student athletes in any given division. Any sport = same payment. For example: Division 1 women’s hockey player 20k annual salary. Division 1 men’s basketball also 20k annual salary. Division 3 football 10k annual salary. Division 3 women’s golf: 10k annual salary. The numbers listed are only meant to be an example. You could take the NCAA revenue and break down by the division and split a percentage equally between all student athletes. Some would argue that football players should make more than another sport because they generate more revenue than said sport… but that’s what NIL is for. That’s where you will see student athletes compensated for their brand and the enhancement of their universities brand. Once again, love the show and trying to have a civil conversation about these real issues that aren’t going away. I’d love to hear others opinions.

How can you penalize someone for making a mistake about how someone’s healing progresses? Of course some coaches will use it to vague about it. What about HIPPA?

Tennessee is ranked above all the opponents except UGA & Bama. 2 slots abover OU. Just play chalk and we are 10-2. Upset Bama and 11-01 with probable SEC championship game (which is useless).

I wouldn’t say it’s useless. It’s honestly more of a statement to win it now, because it’s just the two best teams going against each other

Tennessee is fine staying under the radar. But after the surprise is over with. It’s hard work from then on. Oh Oklahoma is a win no matter what. What were they last year 7-6 so why you given out more respect to their team status. But not the same to ours. You are, you always give more respect to other schools. But your a wedding DJ and will always be.

As for revenue sharing there is a simple solution. If your sport generates a profit. Those athletes get a share. If it breaks even or loses money, those players get their scholarships plus any NIL they can earn. Football already funds most of the scholarships for all non-money making sports. Basketball players split basketball profits. Men split the Men’s profits. Ladies split the Ladies profits. Same for golf, tennis etc…

Last I checked, those athletes are getting a free education. Is that worthless. Back in the day, rhat was what a student athlete was a priority for that person. Now it swem like we have the G league for the NFL. If that is going to be the case, then count me out. I'll watch high-school football instead. Evidently, an education is cheap and worthless.

Well no one cares about a college degree anymore anyways. 5 years ago, did you think that 5 star recruits were playing college football for a degree in communications or to make it to the nfl? Personally I don’t care if the athletes get paid or not as long as other sports don’t get cut. Don’t get all high and mighty on us, nfl has always been the point of college football for a large percentage of players. Guess what, a lot of high schoolers want to play in college so I guess that’s just a G league too😂

Title 9 isn’t going anywhere and will make the revenue sharing interesting as there isn’t a great answer everyone can agree on.
