I saw your coffee videos after I got a Breville and then I see comedian Tom Segura talking about your mean comment section. Your vids seem nice and informative, no reason to have those comments and there are scenarios for those comments but not these.
I have to say I have tried brewing inverted and cannot taste a difference. I always bloom, put the plunger in and pull up to put a vacuum on. I lose a pretty minimal amount of liquid. Is there another advantage to this I'm not seeing?
James Hoffman did a blind taste taste after saying for so long he thought it was 'the best way'. He agrees - There is no difference between the two. Do what ever is easier for you. XL makes inverted better (Because larger loss of liquid.) for some, but I stick to just doing pull plunger up, so I don't risk spilling hot liquid everywhere.
I prefer a fine espresso grind, add the coffee then the hot water (just under boiling, like 95C) fill up to 1/2 way, Mix for 2-4 seconds. Then wait 8-10 sec and plunge with extreme force. You're using espresso grind so timing is critical or it comes out over extracted. Takes a few attempts to find the right wait timing for your beans and grind size.
It all depends on the grind size and brew method. If you look at winning aeropress recipes (in the aeropress championship) from a few years ago, they were all 30g - 35g, coarse grind, and 150ml - 200ml yield.
Hey it's like 4am right now and I bought an Aeropress, you and yiur joyful videos have made me want to try better coffee as I drink some every single day! And I just saw your vidoe on how to deal with bitter coffee (because I still have to finish my pre-grinded coffee that is too strong for me)
Nope. Look at James Hoffmann aeropress series on RUclips where he breaks down all the individual elements that you can control with an aeropress and compares the changes. The bloom does nothing for an aeropress.
First thing I bought when I got into brewing. Now it just sits on my shelf. I'm sure it's good for camping, but at home, pour over seems easier and I can make a larger, tastier cup.
Neither this nor nespresso are able to make real espresso because espresso is made under an extreme amount of pressure which neither product can do. In my opinion, an aeropress is a much better espresso alternative than nespresso because at least in an aeropress you use real coffee, hot water and nothing more. Nespresso is designed with added chemicals to create fake crema when brewing. It tastes a bit off, imo. And with an aeropress you can tinker around and try new things endlessly. With nespresso you’re only limited to what flavours they release.
One other thing to look into if you want espresso-like coffee is a moka pot. They’re pretty simple to get the hang of, but like the aeropress you can tinker a lot with different variables
@@KingBoBThe1st-s1y yea but he came back…….. come on, you can do better than that, that was more lame than when your parents found out you were born a girl
The dedication to make your own coffee on a plane. This is why you’re the coffee master!
Can't recommend the flow control cap more, really is a game changer 🙂
definitely agree, was just thinking for anyone who just bought an Aeropress and doesn't want the pressure of an added expense :D
When did it come out?? This is the first I’m hearing about it! Now that I’m no longer a barista I’m a bit removed from the coffee world 😪
Looking forward to giving this a go - thanks Caitlin!
Hope you enjoy it!
Thanks for your attitude. Live your best days ,do your best and enjoy your life
Your videos are awesome and I checked out your website and mission statement. Love it! ❤

Very cool! I know I've seen you demonstrate the aeropress before but now I'm looking at it not sure how it works when it's not upside-down!
I love your energy! 🦄💕
I dont know why but you have the chill vibe of a turtle
How can it be textured or full bodied with two paper filters?? I use a fine metal filter for that and much prefer it to the thin texture with paper

There is no difference in taste it’s literally the same exact thing
Gotta get myself one of these, everytime i see someone reviewing the aeropress im more tempted lmao
Can you do a tutorial on getting a better coffee using a cafetiere because I cannot seem to getting it right no matter what I do
You make coffee sounds 10x more interesting everytime I watch one of your videos. Now I feel like a coffee lol
I don't even own an aero press but your explanation is so friendly and calming I watched it lol

What's the diff between. Pouring a little water and stirring it vs Pouring all the water and letting it bloom?
AeroPress makes EXCELLENT coffee.
Meh
Thanks for this, I'll try it tomorrow morning! 😁☕️
Love your videos! I have learned so much from you!
how many clicks on the coffee grinder timemore c3esp?
Isnt a 9:1 ratio quite a bit concentrated? I usually do either 12:1 or 15:1 ratio and i see many do either 12 or 16:1. (I only use 15 for convenience)

Definitely agree with the brewing time! 1,5-2 minutes extract more sweetenes and give a floral taste!
Please tell me how many clicks you go for on a timemore c3 esp, I saw you made one on an airplane and I need the recipe!
I want to know the same! I just bought a c3 esp.
Feel like this is very similar to just using a Cafetiere
Can anyone tell me the name of the scale she used?
Have u done any content about greek or turkish coffee?

interesting recipe, never have seen similar one, what roast level do you use?

Isn’t 25g a bit too much? Gotta try it tomorrow morning
Superb “pressing” lesson! ❤ Oh, how I long to drink coffee again!
Is the bloom really necessary for what is essentially an immersion brew?
Nope. Look at James Hoffmann aeropress series on RUclips where he breaks down all the individual elements that you can control with an aeropress and compares the changes. The bloom does nothing for an aeropress.

Trying to decide if I need this vs. having it just sit in my cabinet.
First thing I bought when I got into brewing. Now it just sits on my shelf. I'm sure it's good for camping, but at home, pour over seems easier and I can make a larger, tastier cup.
I normally brew at 60g/l so that seems like straight rocket fuel to me
I don’t know what it is but your videos bring me peace and an temporary escape from this crazy world

So this is like a portable espresso maker? Is it better than nespresso?
Neither this nor nespresso are able to make real espresso because espresso is made under an extreme amount of pressure which neither product can do.

Hoffman blind tests and disproves that inverted method does anything for the coffee. You can just put the press on as a lid to prevent flow.
Good for Hoffman lol I enjoy the inverted method so I’m going to use it.
