Hi Collette and Eric, now you must be just about back to Genoa, would you say the cruise was worth it, and not to long etc. how was the food after so long on the ship? We have not watched the videos yet since seeing the ones you did before we left the ship, but will one day soon. It’s been hard knowing that we missed so much and so many places we so wanted to see. How do you think Cathy, Janne, Barb and John rate the rest of their time aboard. We’d love to hear your thoughts. Also, Ross wants to know if ‘Water’ won the competition on board the ship? Safe trip home to Manitoba! Hugs, Marg & Ross

Dear Eric and Colette, We have been watching your videos with great anticipation as we have planned a very similar tour on the MSC Magnifica in 2025. It's been great following your adventures, big and small, and we've already written down lots of great tips. A question that I hope is not too intrusive: Is there a way to get in touch with you by email to ask a few questions about the providers you booked for private tours? We would be particularly interested in the provider you booked for Petra. Could you also reserve the golf car in advance and could you have done the visit to Petra only with the golf car and without a camel? My enthusiasm for a camel ride would be about as great as Colette's ;-)
Hope you have had meanwhile a safe trip back home - All the best from Berlin, Germany!

      Hello!!
We’re so glad to hear you’ve been enjoying our videos and finding them helpful to you! I have one more video from the trip that I am working on editing that has us going through the Suez canal and showing some of the stuff on the ship.
Our friend Sam is the one who did all of the trip planning. She said I could give you her email address sam@mediamaison.com

Thanks for the videos, I'm on the 2024 MSC Poesia World Cruise! Did you spend sea days catching up on the video editing, or did it lag behind? It takes me forever to do videos after a trip but usually there isn't much chill time in-between, like I'll get on the world cruise 😋! Looks like a fantastic trip, do you mean one travel agent (Sam) planned all your outings in the various ports, or just for Petra? Sure looked like that camel saved you lots of walking time, seems more than a few people dodging were a bit envious looking!😄

I’m glad you’re enjoying the videos! We like to capture out travel adventures on film so we can rewatch them and the memories take us right back there again❤️. Yes I spent sea days working on the video editing, mostly mornings. I would sit in one of the lounges and work on it while Erik was playing cards. Sometimes I’d get a bit behind with editing and it would be a bit overwhelming but I knew it would be worth it to watch them later and family and friends were able to enjoy following along by watching. The internet wasn’t good on the ship but I learned how to work with it. I would set my phone by our door on top of the key card holder to get enough internet signal overnight to publish the videos. And we strung a phone charger from the bathroom electrical outlet over the door to keep enough power in the phone for it to load overnight. 😂 Video editing on the ship was a great hobby. It kept me busy. Yes, our friend Sam planned all of our outings after we met her about 1/3 into the trip. Yes the camels were the best decision Sam made! Scary, but so much fun! Unbelievable memories. And yes, way less strenuous for us and more enjoyable. Because we took a separate private vehicle to Petra, we got ahead of all of the MSC buses, and so there were camels available to rent when we arrived.👌🏻 you will really enjoy the cruise. I think the best tip I could give you for your trip is always get up very early for port days and get downstairs to be first in the lineup. It will save you hours of standing in line with the frustration to get off the ship. Especially when there are tender boats required or you’re entering a country that is extra strict, like Australia. Some people waited three hours in line to get off the ship in Australia.

@@TheWanderlees That is a great tip, to upload videos in the night with the phone plugged in! 😁 Yes, I expect video editing will be a great use of time during sea days, especially when there are several in a row. I love reliving my travels and also do them mainly for myself and several close family members and friends! I've just had 5 previous cruises but being a little bit OCD 🤪, I was definitely at the front of the line to disembark every single port, no worries about that! 🤣 (Three hours to get off the ship in Australia, that is bat-ship crazy!! 😳😱)

We have been following your videos, (very informative) as we are taking the 2025 World Cruise on the MSC Magnifica which has many of the same ports of call as yours. Would also like to hear your summary of the trip, good and bad. Thanks

Awesome! Glad you enjoyed the videos. Overall for the price, you can’t beat it. The customer service at reception wasn’t great, and you have to have some patience for the lack of organization procedures than MSC has when it comes to disembarking. But if you can get over that and just enjoy the fact that you’re getting transport, while your room moves along with you the bit of disorganization they have is worth it. We saw amazing places and it was such a fun trip.
