    導演.Dir: 黎若嵐.Elisabella Larrea 2008/36’
    The Macanese, creole descendants with Portuguese heredity, are the living history of their Terra Natal (birthplace) - Macau. They are the harmonious blend resulting from centuries of intercultural exchanges. Their culture, their Patuá (patois), as well as their customs best illustrate Macau’s multiculturalism. Yet, facing the challenges of global integration, what are to become of them? The documentary aims to capture the surviving moments of their chuchumecas (small talk, gossip), joyful spirit, and love for their terra (land). This documentary also acts as a megaphone, spreading and leaving the voices of the Filhos da Terra (Sons of the Land) for future generations.
    The documentary was screened in places such as Portugal, and Beijing.
    About the director
    Eighth generation descendent of a traditional Macanese family, Elisabela Larrea has always been influenced by traditional Macanese customs and values, with the pleasure of listening to her grandfather’s childhood stories of Macau, her passion for the Macanese culture grew alongside her fascination for old Macau photos and newspapers. Elisabela Larrea started her devotion to the preservation of Macanese culture when she first presented her research paper on "Macanese in the Global Network: a study of Post-colonial Macanese Cultural Identity Performance at the International Symposium on National Identity and the Future of Cross-Strait Relations. She is currently conducting her doctorate research ““Quim Sâm Nôs? A Study of Macanese community through descriptive analysis of Patuá theatre”. She also worked with different mediums with Macanese culture as the main theme, such artworks include the video installation piece "Motion Painting” (2006), the Documentary film "Sons of the Land” (2007), China Central Television's series of Macau Directors on Macau "Unchanged Soil” and the feature film “Macau Stories 2 - Love in the City”.

    I lived in Macau from babyhood until I was 11 years old. After that my family moved to Hong Kong, but I still missed Macau very much! Now I live in the United States, but still miss Macau very much. In the 90s I visited my brother in HK every Christmas and I visited Macau a couple of times. I was so proud to show Macau to my husband and my daughter- where I attended school and the beautiful churches and architecture where the East meets the West! I love Macanese and their unique culture . Please keep the Macanese culture alive forever!!!

    Parabens Elisabella !! You did a very nice and fantastic video... something to be kept for generations... no doubts, I will have it downloaded and recorded for my sons and grandsons... for them to know years ( many from now..) what is really UM MACAENSE !! and I am very proud of being one ! Though I have lived ( and still living ) in Brazil for over 46 years, my mind, my way of seeing things... my culture.. etc.. etc.. will always be a great macaense. I came out on the most popular TV programs in Brazil..and, for more than a month...TV Globo / Brazil.. announcing - Um Portugues de Macau - will be singing a Brazilian country song, in Portuguese, English and Chinese... this very special program named - FANTASTICO - WATCHED AND SEEN BY OVER 100 MILLIONS BRAZILIANS ! for it... the Brazilians became to know what and where is MACAU ! Was really a very good marketing, and I am very proud and happy for being part of it.! Same thing that you " Elisabella " have done and doing for Macaenses !! Thank you very much minha querida Elisabella. big kisses ...

      +Freddy Ritchie Thank you very much Tio for your encouragements and heartfelt sharing. Please allow me to have it copied to DVD and give it to you. I regret to say I don't have a nice "cover" and anything done for it yet (I have your DVD from Fantastico!). But I will be having it printed within these 2 months. Nevertheless, it is my honor to give you the DVD first, after I have ordered for a nicer version with cover and all, I would love to give it to you again. All Macaenses should try their best to do whatever way possible to keep our culture alive and known. This is merely the least I can do for my comunidade... Please allow me to thank you for your generous sharing and accepting the interview, without you all, this documentary wouldn't exist. Beijinhos!

      Com certeza, parabéns por participar deste movimento. Eu não sou descendente mas como ativista por diversas causas, uma delas sendo línguas minoritárias, poderia incluir a língua maquista por ser bem mais fácil para nós falantes de português (sou brasileiro) e confesso que sempre acho as línguas regionais mais interessantes e bonitas que as línguas padrões em geral, a maquista é muito doce! E tem elementos que reconhecemos em outras línguas regionais antigas, como o galego, o mirandês e as línguas crioulas de outras ex-colônias.

    Que reportagem bonito, obrigado +Elisabela Larrea ! cc +BelaMacau ; Sim embargo, não estou de acordo com Miguel de Senna Fernandes quando ele dize que não pode dizer "computador" en lingu maquista, penso que pode justamente utilizar o português , o mesmo crioulizar o português para dizer ista palavra (computadu ?) . Porque não tomar o cantonês, tambem e crioulizarlo? Caboverdiano, crioulo de Guinea-Bissau se ajudam do português, pra encontrar otros por exemplo o alsaciano (dialecto de alemão), se ajuda do alemão standard.

    • @fivantvcs9055
      @fivantvcs9055 4 года назад

      Em o otro registro, é importante falar diversas linguas e não só inglês +Elisabela Larrea +BelaMacau (e claro, cantonês e mandarim), pero tambem português, sexta lingua do mundo, segonda lingua romancera do mundo e la lingua mais diversifica geograficamente nas linguas romanceras (America, Europa, Africa, Asia; ainda mais que francês). É assim como que encontraria lastima que a população macaense abandona o português e isto avantagem (já que ha Brasil, Angola, Timor Leste, ... no mundo.)

    • @arashi1220
      @arashi1220  3 года назад

      Concordo também que temos que falar diversas línguas, como nôs-sa língu maquista qui sâm língu-língu champurado. Mas também acho que há Macaenses, que têm muito amor para sua terra Macau e falam inglês por causa da educação ou família. Antigamente evitava falar Português no público porque não domino bem a língua... Nôm sábi falâ bêm-fêto.. Mas agora, com a idade, sei que a língua Portuguesa é muito important para a identidade Macaesnse. O que o Miguel de Senna Fernandes queria dizer, acho eu, é que a língu Maquista é uma língua antiga, por isso não evoluiu junto a vida da gente, no dia à dia. Mas ele, como director de Dóci Papiaçám di Macau, fiz esses tipos de criolização nas récitas de Teatro Patuá, e novas palavras foi inventadas no Patuá. Em realidade, sem as récitas, acho que não conseguimos houver nossa lingu dóci hoje.. Obrigada pelas mesagens, fico muito contente que a gente conecta com as memórias de Macau.
