      Well the thing is the bigges thsow they were hinting at carrying on well past its welcome is Spongebob, which is Viacom's MIckey Mouse. But guess what, the parent company of PHineas and Ferb already has their own Mickey Mosue...and he is the original, although the newer cartoons are influenced by that yellow kitchen sponge thing that does not resemble a sea sponge, but still, Mickey Mouse is actually fun tow atch.

      Swampy saw what happened to SpongeBob and Family Guy, he and Dan knew of the outcome if they kept continuing Phineas and Ferb. Also, views dropped immensly during mid season 4; the early season 4 episodes had millions of viewers, but the mid season 4 episodes and beyond eventually dropped from millions to less than 500,000 viewers. All good things must come to an end.

    • @MiloMurphysLaw
      @MiloMurphysLaw 3 года назад +23

      @@The2ndDimension I don’t even think we need 1 a year. We just need a few to fully wrap up all the loose ends. Like a special to conclude what happened after the end of Tales From the Resistance, and a special showing Doof (and Perry) working on trying to invent time travel after the end of MML season 2 with Cavendish and Dakota as the B-plot. And I also think it would be kinda cool to see a crossover with The Simpsons for multiple reasons. P&F and The Simpsons have both had crossovers with Marvel and Star Wars, and I think it would make perfect sense for Disney Channel’s longest running cartoon to crossover with Fox’s longest running cartoon. Plus, Dan and Swampy met when they were working on The Simpsons, so it would be really cool for the show that they eventually ended up co-creating to crossover with the the show they were working on when they first met.

      @gota7738 3 года назад +7

      That would be my ideal scenario. The series was great in my book right till the end, but you could tell that the gears wanted to shift. For a show that played the formula so masterfully like PnF, I think changing to a new status quo would make it a different show.
      The Specials however where a real highlight, since they allowed the characters to be put in new situations naturally without breaking the main series. Day of The Living Pharmacist and the Star Wars Special where amazing in particular, and it was fun to see the characters in darker stories than usual.

    Really, Phineas and Ferb's ending was amazing. But after everything, it's extremely sad. You're right about Act your age being the emotional ending. But in the Last Day Of Summer, I liked reviewing how much the characters have grown, and I think that in Quantum Boogaloo, it's really great that Isabella knows she'll marry Phineas, because it's the ending she always wanted, and the fact that Candace stops obsessing over her brothers means it's a happy ending for everyone. It would be epic if they made an episode that takes place after Act your Age and shows what happens with Phineas And Isabella at TriState State. Also an episode explaining how tf Ferb pulled a girl 6 years older than him lmfao. More Doof 101 would be great. That's just what I think personally.

    I think at this point i’ve had my fill on standard 11 minute Phineas and Ferb episodes. As much as I love season 4 by the end to me it felt like the writers were going through burnout in terms of having to keep coming up with imaginative fun stuff for the kids to build.
    I think movies are the way to go when it comes to continuing Phineas and Ferb (so long as they have better animation consistency). I don’t think the show could really go back to its classic formula (especially when season 4 was a huge deviation from that in its second half) so huge adventures with big action set pieces that also act as an in-depth analysis of the series iconic characters is the way to go.
    Ideally i’d like to see a new Disney+ original Phineas and Ferb movie every 2-3 years. Maybe also do a 40 minute Christmas special. Just give us a new Phineas and Ferb project every few years that keeps the franchise alive and relevant while not interfering with Dan and Swampy’s other projects.
    Also obviously bring back Milo Murphy’s Law to give it some sort of ending but that’s gonna be a challenge.

I did enjoy the finale, and I'm happy it ended before it actually became trash. I haven't watched the specials and movies which came out after the OWCA files, but if they want to get that cash, I think releasing a special episode or movie every few years is better for the series' reputation than a full reboot. It's not too late for Meap Me in St. Louis.

      Those two are the most underappreciated characters that have any sense of relevance in the show, really, so I think that's probably why. Like, there are quite a few background/recurring characters, but if they have any sense of real relevance, it's only for an episode or two, whereas Candace and Doofenshmirtz are commenly appearing, relevant, and yet hardly have any background. We know that for some reason Candace want to 'bust' her brothers, and Doofenshmirtz has an ex and daughter, as well as a very... Strange... Past, but that's about all that we know of them from the show itself, which really isn't enough.

Contrary to what you said, Doofenshmirtz, from what I see in comment sections, is the most loved character in the show, to the point that even people who don't like the show say that the Doof/Perry subplot is the only good part of it. I actually think the show gave a lot of information about his motives and why he treats his daughter so well, and that's why he has many fans. I definitely won't call him "underappreciated".

    Not only was Phineas and Ferb airing slow as f**k, but season 4 started airing in the Summerween-Boss Mabel hiatus of Gravity Falls. Gravity Falls’s gaps were FAR more infamous. So these were happening simultaneously, and while 2015 had P&F’s final three specials, Gravity Falls aired 12 of the 21 half hours in 2015, and none of them aired in consecutive weeks. There were 4 weeks between Weirdmageddon parts 1 & 2, and then nearly THREE MONTHS between part 2 and the hourlong finale. How the hell did we deal exactly? I think I repressed a lot

    • @MiloMurphysLaw
      @MiloMurphysLaw 3 года назад

      The only reason I was able to deal with it was because I didn’t have Disney XD until around the time that Weirdmaggedon was airing. So I was only able to watch new episodes of Phineas and Ferb or Gravity Falls when they would air on Disney Channel. And since I had missed so many episodes of both shows, I didn’t even know about the long hiatuses. Plus I wasn’t in the fandoms at the time, because I feel like that’s part of the reason that the hiatus between seasons of MML felt so long. I was constantly going online to talk about the show and speculate about what was gonna happen in the crossover, so I had tons of hype for that episode and couldn’t wait for it to come out. But with P&F and Gravity Falls, I didn’t have that. And honestly I wish that I had been involved in the Gravity Falls fandom when the show was originally airing because that would’ve been so much more fun. I literally didn’t even find out about the hidden codes in the show until a little while after Weirdmaggedon 3 came out, because I finally decided to go on Google and find out if the Bill Cipher statue from the end of the episode was actually real or not. And then I find out there was a world wide treasure hunt searching for the statue.

    This was such a delight to watch, nearly brought a tear to my eye with the trip down memory lane. I was pretty much 16 when the show came out, I turn 30 this month, so my memory on the beginning of the series is more fresh than someone who watched it when they were little. I can still remember the day Rollercoaster aired clearly, actually seeing that in the video with Ashley Tisdale talking about P&F hit me in the feels. I remember that night & seeing Disney hyping up the series & strangely enough, I was disgusted by it. I remember them talking more so on the voice cast & all that & I couldn't get a good idea for what to expect from the show so 15 year old me was thinking the show sounded stupid & was hoping my little sister would change the channel when it came on. Actually, the story for me behind P&F's premiere is an interesting one, I love retelling it.
    My mom, sister, & I were on vacation to go fossil digging & rock hunting in place I had never been to before & never revisited since but I should go back sometime. We were staying at this cruddy motel like it was rundown, in a bad neighborhood, & the staff there were rude. My mom told the front desk worker about our toilet being clogged & he told her to stop flushing feminine products down there. It was clogged because tiny toilet plus big number 2 does not work. The spot specifically we were in was bad but I'm sure there's better places to stay.
    Down the street was this gas station with a little shop so I figured I'd walk down there to get some candy. It gave me something to do, we weren't going digging that day so I was bored. There's an apartment complex across the street & their mailbox was out at the sidewalk. I walked by it on my way to the gas station & this man was getting his mail & he complimented me, saying I look pretty & whatnot & he asked me where I was heading. I told him that I was just walking & he offered to give me a ride. Uhh yeah, no. This is like one of those scenarios right out of those cheesy stranger danger videos they made us watch in school, I knew that this was a dicey situation, I'm not dumb. I told him no but he tried to convince me & I was trying to hammer in that I was just walking & didn't need a ride anywhere. Eventually he gave up asking & I continued walking down but he was following me, I would look back & one of the times he asked "what?" I didn't give him an answer & just picked up my speed.
    I got to a crosswalk, pushed the button, then looked back in a panic, worried that he might be there but he was gone. I had decided that I would go hide out at the gas station, maybe tell the clerk at the counter my situation. I didn't want him to know I was staying at the motel so I was too scared to run back there. As soon as it told me I could walk, I started running & flipped open my phone & rapidly started punching in my mom's number so that I could inform her on what was going on.
    One thing to note, when I was still walking & he was following, I did pass by the entrance to the parking lot for the apartment complex, it was small & only a few cars were there, one to note was this warn down, beat up looking pickup truck. When I got to the gas station, I saw that truck in the parking lot there which was odd because I swear I remembered seeing it at the apartment complex & inside, talking to the clerk, was that same man from before. Thankfully, my mom pulled up & I hopped into her car.
    Later that night, I was too scared to leave the room so I was stuck watching High School Musical 2 with my mom & little sister. I wanted to watch something different but my mom insisted we watched that. I know many people are fans of the high school musical movies but I was like right at that age where it was cool to make fun of them when they came out. I was apart of the teens group who made fun of Hannah Montana, High School Musical, Justin Bieber, & anything the preteens were into those days pretty much. It's like when you're around 7 & make fun of Barney & other baby shows but for teens in the 2000's. Obviously, I don't feel the same way anymore, I'm grown now but for young me, this was torture. I hated every second of what was going on & Phineas & Ferb was the thing that I thought would make it worse but no, it completely saved that night, that entire day for me.
    When Rollercoaster started, it was just the absolute best thing, I was laughing & enjoying myself. I remember the very moment we saw Perry sneaking off, I made a crack about him being a secret agent & then as it turns out, he is! Perry was like the very first thing I noticed in this show pretty much because I was a weird kid who thought that platypusses were super cool so seeing one in an animated show brought me such joy. I learned what a platypus was thanks to this Magic School Bus video game I played as a kid but I felt like I was one of the few who knew about them because I stumbled into knowing by complete accident with the animal creator thingy in the back of the bus, I liked trying to make animals that obviously didn't exist so when I made a platypus, I was in shock it was real.
    Perry is what got me hooked into the series but I think the timing of the show really hammered this one in as being one of my favorite series. It started right around the same time my favorite series of all time ended over on Nickelodeon, Danny Phantom. I was on vacation so I was stuck sharing a TV with my sister, by this point in time I wasn't really watching Disney Channel anymore but still did watch Toon Disney for the childhood shows I grew up with. Almost getting kidnapped was a boost, I was terrified & did not want to leave that room at all, I was so scared that he might of figured out where I was & was just waiting for me to leave so he could follow me. So having something this positive during such a negative day was exactly what I needed.
    Due to entering in early, I was there for it all pretty much. In 2008, I joined a P&F forum over at the TV website. Yes, hi Roy if you're reading this, this is exactly who you think it is. I was known for my extra long posts. We did discuss things on our minds related to the series, we were wondering if it would abide by the episode limit rule or if it would keep going. We also questioned Phineas' voice potentially changing since his VA was a kid at the time & well, we knew his voice would get deeper so it's relief that he could still sound like Phineas. I remember Tip of the Day being a major troll move & we all loved it for that, that episode is like an injoke or a you had to be there moment. So many memories associated with this series, definitely a positive light & I love that it's been there through the years. Wow, been there for nearly half my life, not quite yet. My birthday is September 27th so I turned 16 one month & ten days after Rollercoaster aired. Kinda trippy I can easily reference the day I was nearly kidnapped due to it being the same one as when P&F aired.
    Also, was there for Milo Murphy's Law since the beginning. I cosplayed as Dr. Doofenshmirtz to Rose City Comicon in 2015 & when I got Olivia Olson's autograph, she asked me if I knew about the new show from Dan & Swampy. I think it had a different name during that time, I wrote down the name but I doubt I still have the paper, I did so in order to look it up when I got home. I was still using a flip phone in 2015 so I couldn't look it up there. I remember not being able to find out much details on it but there were a few things here & there & it stayed on my radar & when they dropped the first episode on their official youtube channel, probably saw it like 50 times over, I could not wait to get the next episode.

    2:28 You have to use that whenever you can. IT’S SO FUNNY
    Also, I wish a lot of other cartoons had an episode like “Act Your Age” since it is so emotional. And if Milo Murphy’s Law isn’t getting a season 3, there should at least be a special episode that properly concludes the series.
    Also, when The Ghost and Molly McGee premiers October 1st, maybe you can do a video on that?

      LOL thank you I love that bit and definitely have plans for it in the future!
      I think timeskip episodes are such a cool concept, and I think a lot of shows would do well to take a page out of P&F's book and have one! And also I'm not sure if I'll talk Molly McGee THIS year, as my schedule is pretty full, but perhaps next year!

    Personally, I think a revival series on Disney+, taking place the following summer, would be a good way to continue the franchise, similar to what The Proud Family will be doing. Of course that would have to wait, as the movie came out last year, and Dan and Swampy are working on their own separate projects.

  • @MiloMurphysLaw
    @MiloMurphysLaw 3 года назад +32

    Personally, here is how I would continue the franchise. Obviously the first thing I would do is make Milo Murphy’s Law season 3 with an hour long series finale.
    I would have Doof move out in the first few episodes of the season, but then have an hour long stand alone special about Doof (and Perry) trying to invent time travel and they would end up accidentally going on an adventure through a bunch of different time periods or something. And I would also have Cavendish and Dakota as the B-plot of the special, maybe if they end up rehired by BOTT at the end of season 3 (since they’re still working there in the future as shown in A Christmas Peril) then they could be assigned to go and stop Doof from messing around with the past.
    Then I would have an hour long special that takes place after Tales From the Resistance to wrap up that plot. The general idea I have right now is that Doof-2 would rebuild the Other-Dimension-inator to try to go get help from Doof-1, but since he’s turned good he instead tries to convince Doof-2 to turn good too. And maybe there would be some time travel in that one too because Doof-1 tells Doof-2 about him becoming Professor Time and everything, but then Doof-2 gets the idea to steal his time machine and go back to the events of the movie to help his past self defeat Phineas and Ferb.
    Another idea I had was that the 3rd Phineas and Ferb movie could focus on time travel, because that way the movies would be like a reverse of Milo Murphy’s Law. MML season 1 had time travel, P&F’s 3rd movie would have time travel. MML season 2 had aliens, P&F’s 2nd movie had aliens. MML season 3 would have robots, P&F’s 1st movie had robots. But if I had already made 2 hour long specials involving time travel, I’m not sure what the plot of the movie would be then. Maybe this time it would focus on Phineas and Ferb having a whole bunch of time travel adventures, since the 2 specials were more focused on Doof.
    And I would also have an hour long crossover with The Simpsons. So basically, MML season 3, 3 more hour long specials, and a 3rd P&F movie. And maybe even a 3rd show in the franchise (not including Hamster and Gretel) focused entirely on Doof and Perry. I would love to see Doof 101 or OWCA Files become a full series, or since I love time travel a full show about Doof becoming Professor Time and going on time travel adventures. And have Cavendish and Dakota in the B-plot, probably as time travelers again (because like I said they would probably start working at BOTT again at the end of season 3).
    So how would I continue Phineas and Ferb? Time travel. Because everything that has time travel in it is automatically awesome.
    Oh, and if you see this comment and want to talk about any of these ideas, maybe we could talk on Discord?
