The "I hope you are ready to apply everything you have learnt up until now about game mechanics and cooperation" boss. Truly incredible, and probably one of my all-time favourite bosses just because of what it symbolizes
You know, seeing the lyrics firsthand now while it is being sung...you really can see that the song is about you/arks and Manon. Looking at the lyrics on the bottom definitely makes me think about Manon in chapter 5 while the lyrics at the top just makes me think of us extending our hand out to her.
What an insight, my opinion was it is probably from Manon's perpective with two sides, her mission self(past) and her ideal self(now/future), that's why it's 2 voices.
@@kazumaryusei I thought that to be a potential interpretation at first, but the way that the top set of lyrics interacts with the bottom set? It leans much harder toward us holding our hands out to Manon to lift her up. The part that really gets me is around the 6:00 mark. The higher voice that had been singing since the beginning says that she’s found her purpose, and that she gained it from “you”. “You” likely being the lower, but prevailing voice likely meant to represent us-her friends.
@@saikatsune2085 all i can say was, this soghs might be representing what was inside Manon's mind ever since the Retem as for 6:00 mark i think it was Manon and her future self where the furture manon lead the way for this past manon telling her that she now had a friend, Aina and us. not to mention Crawford and his firends(who i think has a slight crush to manon lol)
@@ShiroCh_ID Manon has actually been thinking about this since the destruction of Aelio Town. She acquiesced that whenever Dark Falz laid waste to all in its path that day, that she wanted to tell us everything then and there. She was afraid we would come to hate her. It also doesn’t make too much sense to me that Manon is calling out to herself for help. “I am here on a mission.” “What’s the mission?” “Purpose.” “What’s the purpose?” “Can I call out for you?” “I’m at your side.” Part of her entire arc is learning what it means to have friends. Friends can lean on each other, they can account for each other’s strengths and weaknesses. Past Manon relying on Future Manon’s help just doesn’t really track based on that information. The entire song seems to follow Manon’s progression as well. Her being alone, her meeting us and gaining friends and a purpose, then her becoming resolute and confident in that purpose.
i interpreted the top lyrics as being from aina specifically, especially with the lines "what's your story? where's your heartache? hold out your hands to me. in the dark times when you feel alone let's find what we're here for." with chapter 1 having scenes where aina is trying to figure out what to fight for.
When I heard Hero from the past part I saw my old first character of pso on my main now... This song its about bringing back who we were from the past into the new frontier future.
it always catches me off guard when the world beyond the sky starts. the music feels like it's swelling to whole new world, but then i hear "dream forward" instead.
Ah, this. This made the fight more impactful. I taken this as a theme of the Heros and Heroines of Base PSO2, extending their power to the Heros and Heroines of NGS, the ones that are lost, given power to preserve the world they landed on. But I also see it as the NGS Heros and Heroines to be extending their hands to the ones that are in need of it, as what Crawford said, your character has became a symbol of ARKS, a Guardian of sorts. Of course, the headcanons you have for your characters can be applied, either they were sent to put the world back in balance, or were just there from the start, like a successor to your Base PSO2 Character. You're a Meteron, A Hunter, A Fighter, A Ranger, A Gunner, A Force, A Techtor, A Braver, A Waker, A Slayer. But most importantly, you became the symbol of hope of ARKS. The ones that people look up to. With the allies you gather during your time, the people who joined your side to help you on your journey, are all part of your story, your own story. And with the blessings of the heroes of the past, the heroines of the past. You shall overcome the odds they throw at you, to make them *Know Your Name.*
Nice Opinion and yeah, We are ARKS in every universe, I don't know about name things but if it's about existence or story, i am agree (i mean the story itself maybe or maybe not connected based on SEGA said, but at least the feeling is there).
6:01 i become unbeatable in games when this clip happens, as if i just can't be defeated... idk why.. this one clip makes me as if i reached a peak and now i can take a deep breath to reflect on what i won...
Taken from PSO2 NEW GENESIS OST Vol.1 booklet, lyrics adjusted with the one in the song Dream forward to the future of this world Let the wind blow up in your heart... Now just know our true self To live the way we really are Gathering the threads of our new story in the darkness Now just free our own mind No matter where we came from How I wonder why we exist for in the space Looking up at the sky I think of it today... *Now just hold our own faith To see the truth we came for Gathering the threads of our new story in the darkness Now just stop them crying No matter what race we are Don't waste our time to see the whole universe Fly high and stand up for our liberty today * repeat Fate or free will Across time and space We're gonna go on a new journey Change the world and bring us bright smiles 'Cause that's our will, that's the future we'll take in our hands
It sounds more like "gathering threads of a larger story in the darkness" Official lyrics has known to read really differently from what's being sung, as with EP6's As One and Vacuity.
@@YasaiTsume 1. I don't hear that, there is a /nu/ being pronounced, so it cannot be the word "larger", it'd have to be "new", matching the official lyrics. 2. the same goes for As One and Vacuity, they're sung exactly as written in the official lyrics The reason why you're hearing things differently, especially with As One and Vacuity, is perhaps because of how Aimee is pacing the vocals. These are English songs written and composed by non-native speakers after all.

oh absolutely
Over the Universe was also composed by Hidekuni Horita!
Taken from PSO2 NEW GENESIS OST Vol.1 booklet, lyrics adjusted with the one in the song
Dream forward to the future of this world
Let the wind blow up in your heart...
Now just know our true self
To live the way we really are
Gathering the threads of our new story in the darkness
Now just free our own mind
No matter where we came from
How I wonder why we exist for in the space
Looking up at the sky I think of it today...
*Now just hold our own faith
To see the truth we came for
Gathering the threads of our new story in the darkness
Now just stop them crying
No matter what race we are
Don't waste our time to see the whole universe
Fly high and stand up for our liberty today
* repeat
Fate or free will
Across time and space We're gonna go on a new journey
Change the world and bring us bright smiles
'Cause that's our will, that's the future we'll take in our hands
It sounds more like "gathering threads of a larger story in the darkness"
