She's still very young, you never know what music she's gonna create in a couple of decades. As of now, Björk is probably the one who brought music and art to a whole different level.
+Harald Henriksen I know Aurora is also a metal fan, but I don't know why so many metal fans are drawn to her music. Maybe we recognize one of our own. ;)
+Harald Henriksen Dude, I'm also a black metal fan and I love Aurora. I guess the resemblance is the fact that she is so pure, and her music is so sincere, without fake special effects and computer modified sounds. Even tho she has nothing to do with black metal, somehow I feel that "Pure and honest" vibe from her and her art. And also, she is from Norway, so... :))))
Same with myself as well! My other friend who heavily into black metal showed me her not to long ago and ever since I listen to her everyday. Must be the spirit or the north I don't know haha. A lot of her music is powerful, dark, and sincere as well thats a possibility. You can tell she has folk influences from her home. Also just found out she likes Wardruna a lot which awesome.
I love the sad themes in her songs. Not that I love being sad. She just makes it feel its OK to be sad, that you can feel happiness even in the darkest times. Honestly she saved me. I had been going through honestly the worst time of my life. And her voice, the words she spoke the comfort she had with her emotions...it just, made me feel at peace
it shows we are human to express and appreciate a wide range of emotions to different degrees, we all have it in us the understanding of these emotions helps us relax
I love seeing younger, adorable AURORA, then seeing her now and feeling like she's gone through an amazing and encouraging metamorphosis. What an interesting person
There's several reasons why she is such a gem of a human being. When the performance is finished she bows and immediately turns to the orchestra to show them appreciation. I love how graceful and appreciative she is.
Early Jan 2015 I joined my partner and her collegues and went to this traditonal "bt-concert". I don't remember any of the artists except one. I will never forget that moment when she walked in and sang that masterpiece of a song - with her sad voice and characteristic hand movements. 3 years later I'm still sitting in that concert hall, applauding!
With a tiny rope and a bag of stones And all her broken wishing bones She's going in, she's going home Oh this little golden eye, fighting every day Behind the light, behind the light Walking faster down the street, red eyes And no shoes on her feet Going on this journey, determined to complete This is farewell, this is good night The last time she will see the daylight See the daylight And she's going on a journey Always walking down the road And the water is always calling My little child, please come home That's when she went away Away from the light of day Standing by the riverside Patientelly waiting for the tide To come along, to come along The water going through her feet And on her body wind so cold and sweet So cold and sweet And she's going on a journey Always walking down the road And the water is always calling My little child, please come home And the stars were brightly shining When she reached out they were gone And the water started calling My little child, please come home Feel the water in her body, water's never going out Feel the water in her body, water's never going out Feel the water in her body, water's never going out Feel the water in her body, water's never going out Feel the water in her body, water's never going out Feel the water in her body, water's never going out Feel the water in her body, water's never going out Feel the water in her body, water's never going out And she's going on a journey Always walking down the road And the water is always calling My little child, please come home And the stars were brightly shining When she reached out they were gone And the water started calling My little child, please come home When a shiny light hit her eye And she turned around And climbed towards the sky Towards the sky
There are a few things that she does here that totally floor me. Most of her live performances are backed by heavy electronics and beats, allowing her to move and dance with the music as she sees emotionally fit. Regardless of that, she imbues physical emotiveness with even subdued performances such as this. In spite of that, her vocal control is off the charts. When I play guitar live, I also like to infuse more emotion into my playing than I would if I was trying to record precise takes in a studio setting. In a live context, the energy is great, but I don't think I could play with exacting proficiency. She manages to do this. And it's glorious! Also, when the song concludes, she suspends a body language of anticipation. By holding herself this way, she keeps the audience from applauding too abruptly. This allows the song to sink in and have space rather than have its delicate conclusion be whiplashed by applause. I'm not sure if it's intentional, but it's a brilliant move!
I find it interesting that people are surprised that she's a full person. They think that because she wears stripey socks one day, she's too innocent to wear something as revealing as this. She's 20. She can do what she wants and doesn't have to be a character
Thank goodness. I'm tired of all the comments about how she's so innocent and angelic. Okay yeah she's pretty and blonde and has a sweet pretty voice but she's also a grown woman who can't possibly be as innocent as everyone wants her to be.
If people think that what she's wearing here is revealing then I'd say she's doing okay. Most female performers today wouldn't be caught dead in the clothes Aurora wears. She's she has her own unique Style. Okay she may have borrowed a little from Ally Sheedy in The Breakfast Club, but that's okay too. ( actually, one of her sisters dresses her and the other one does her makeup.)
she so is a beautiful one of a kind vessel of emotion and story in music and performance.she is now my favorite solo artist.just cant help it,i adore her and enjoy and appreciate her so much!!
I heard "Hurdy Gurdy Hurdy Gurdy hurdy gurdy, Aurora Aksnes Awakening." But seriously if he were speaking English I would say the man speaks very good English. So I'm assuming he speaks Norwegian very well. Even though I didn't understand a word he said, he said it very well.
She's very talented. I haven't seen this much talent from an artist in a while. I don't really find many of these mainstream artists "talented." At least not like Aurora. She's such a wonderful person as well
Sunset Phoenix im pretty sure she's never considered suicide nor had depression or anything like that. I'm not confirming this, but of course this is all my opinion. Good thinking though, maybe it is about suicide. You do have a very great point.
Sunset Phoenix she doesn't write all of her songs based on her own experience though!!!,and yes this song is maybe about suicide, bmi believe it's not something she's dealt with
I cant remember were she said that but she said once that pretty much all of her songs are about else people and mostly not herself. So maybe she knew someone who was suicidal.
With the way she likes to use her hands while singing she might be a natural for conducting an orchestra. (I mean that sincerely since I use my hands in a similar way when singing or listening to music)
i wonder why people insist in the idea that aurora is so "pure" and "innocent" when she literally sings about dark themes in most of her songs. and that's not bad???? nobody has to be "pure" or "innocent", whatever that even means.
She's great, but I keep noticing technical shortcomings in pretty much all her work. Here I'm not sure whether the orchestra didn't do HER justice or if she didn't do justice to the orchestra...
+Pakislav ............ Putting this delicate girl with her so personal lyrics with a large orchestra is absolute lunacy. I could not believe my eyes, then my ear assault.
when ever she preforms, she tried to mimic an animal of her choosing.. in this case she believes she's a fish.. some times she dresses as a "moth" and some times a "crow".. its cause her music reflects nature
I believe Aurora will come down as one of the greatest artists who ever lived.
Vesuvius She already is!
I mean I like her, but this comment is fucking stupid, she is not even close to artists like Bach or Rachmanninnov...
AMEN TO THAT BROTHER
She's still very young, you never know what music she's gonna create in a couple of decades. As of now, Björk is probably the one who brought music and art to a whole different level.
Hardly
she is one of a kind.even though im into black metal this girl is just mesmerezing.
+Harald Henriksen I know Aurora is also a metal fan, but I don't know why so many metal fans are drawn to her music. Maybe we recognize one of our own. ;)

+Harald Henriksen This is really strange.... So amny blackmetal dude listening to her... xD
Here's one too. Can't get enough of her. Her music is kinda dark and it "feels" a bit BM that way.

I know what you mean. Lots of love to you. Will be light and joy with you
it shows we are human to express and appreciate a wide range of emotions to different degrees, we all have it in us
the understanding of these emotions helps us relax
The sound when you put your ears on the gates of the heaven.
Hauntingly sad and beautiful song....Aurora is an old soul in a young body...she is so talented. So glad you came into my life😍💐
Imma listen to this everyday of my life
She sings also with her hands and her eyes 😍.
Time stops when listening to aurora 💗
Early Jan 2015 I joined my partner and her collegues and went to this traditonal "bt-concert". I don't remember any of the artists except one. Beautiful❤❤❤❤😢😢
She is so breathtaking! The most innocent creature our universe has ever seen
Shorus Sh other than Jesus
fuck Jesus... she is real Jesus is just a fucking fairy tale
Eduardo rude af. Jesus isnt a fairy tale you inbred.
@@veduardov why are you cursing him? why did he did to you?
With a tiny rope and a bag of stones
And all her broken wishing bones
She's going in, she's going home
Oh this little golden eye, fighting every day
Behind the light, behind the light
Walking faster down the street, red eyes
And no shoes on her feet
Going on this journey, determined to complete
This is farewell, this is good night
The last time she will see the daylight
See the daylight
And she's going on a journey
Always walking down the road
And the water is always calling
My little child, please come home
That's when she went away
Away from the light of day
Standing by the riverside
Patientelly waiting for the tide
To come along, to come along
The water going through her feet
And on her body wind so cold and sweet
So cold and sweet
And she's going on a journey
Always walking down the road
And the water is always calling
My little child, please come home
And the stars were brightly shining
When she reached out they were gone
And the water started calling
My little child, please come home
Feel the water in her body, water's never going out
Feel the water in her body, water's never going out
Feel the water in her body, water's never going out
Feel the water in her body, water's never going out
Feel the water in her body, water's never going out
Feel the water in her body, water's never going out
Feel the water in her body, water's never going out
Feel the water in her body, water's never going out
And she's going on a journey
Always walking down the road
And the water is always calling
My little child, please come home
And the stars were brightly shining
When she reached out they were gone
And the water started calling
My little child, please come home
When a shiny light hit her eye
And she turned around
And climbed towards the sky
Towards the sky
she shows true and genuine emotion when she sings this and it is beautiful
She is the only person whose voice ever made me cry and she does it every single time.

Muy interesantes las observaciones que haces 🖤✨

Oh my god . Look att her eyes betwenn 2.02- 2.18. They are so full of emotion.
❤️ listen to the lyrics. It sounds like it's about suicide... So sad. It's so sad to think she may have delt with that stuff. Makes me cry...
Sunset Phoenix im pretty sure she's never considered suicide nor had depression or anything like that. I'm not confirming this, but of course this is all my opinion. Good thinking though, maybe it is about suicide. You do have a very great point.
Sunset Phoenix go listen to Lucky
Sunset Phoenix she doesn't write all of her songs based on her own experience though!!!,and yes this song is maybe about suicide, bmi believe it's not something she's dealt with
She said in an interview she used to “feel the lines” of Lucky, another song about suicide.
I cant remember were she said that but she said once that pretty much all of her songs are about else people and mostly not herself. So maybe she knew someone who was suicidal.
Cabelo dela tava tão bonitinho💙💙
Best ever
awsome
Maybe it's the filming angle or her hair but I thought she looked like she's 12 years old here, at least in the closeups.
Ben She has grace vanderwaal hair lol
love ♥♥
She has been sent here to save people.
Aurora ❤❤❤😢😭😭😭😭😭😭😭❤❤
aaaaa essa mulher me mata ❤️
Thanks for this, Uploader 🙏
With the way she likes to use her hands while singing she might be a natural for conducting an orchestra. (I mean that sincerely since I use my hands in a similar way when singing or listening to music)
thankyou for sharing
beautiful
Pls do more songs together with an orchestra, it sounds extraordinary great

Have you seen this one yet?
Concert this Sunday with the same orchestra as in this video: vier.live/acts/aurora-goes-symphonic
awesome performance!
Magnífico
This is Amazing!
i wonder why people insist in the idea that aurora is so "pure" and "innocent" when she literally sings about dark themes in most of her songs. and that's not bad???? nobody has to be "pure" or "innocent", whatever that even means.
Idk, that's the best part of it totally contrasting characteristic
She understands darkness.
Wooow celestial

I bet she heard the duff note at 3:38 on the xylophone...
So that’s how you say her last name
She's great, but I keep noticing technical shortcomings in pretty much all her work. Here I'm not sure whether the orchestra didn't do HER justice or if she didn't do justice to the orchestra...
+Pakislav ............ Putting this delicate girl with her so personal lyrics with a large orchestra is absolute lunacy. I could not believe my eyes, then my ear assault.
Tão tímida ainda.
Dette gir meg gåsehud
I am infected
br
She kinda looks like the waif from Game Of Thrones.
Her voice is the only instrument that sounds beautifully in this video. The rest is absolutely forgettable.

why often fish net clothing? Why?
when ever she preforms, she tried to mimic an animal of her choosing.. in this case she believes she's a fish.. some times she dresses as a "moth" and some times a "crow".. its cause her music reflects nature
It's lace.
chill
cos she's Scandinavian
Clone of Jesse Eisenberg, maybe?
I wonder if she ever sings in Norwegian.
She did, in Christines Julekonsert 2018, "Jon Blund".

Would be better if she had more clothes on.
