Beautiful job .
Dang Kyle!!!! That was sweeeeeet!!!!!😮😮😮😮
Wow.. that IS scary sharp !
I had to subscribe, you explain the sharpening process from start to finish.
Great knife, my wife loves this in the kitchen.
What an amazing result!
Love watching a passionate expert. Cheers from NZ.
Sharp indeed
Thank you !Verry nice this Video !Now i understand better how to sharpen scandi! Leipzig,Germany here
Beautiful, beautiful job!
It's a real pleasure to watch all steps of sharpening that knife. Thanks for this video. I always watch your movies with all adverts. 💪
I’ve got one of those, and love it , great for food processing and mine has a nice square spine for scraping a faro rod or a piece of fat wood. Yeah, I know , it’s a cheap knife , but golly it takes a razor edge well.
I got my wife that knife for Christmas last year. She forgot her can opener on a solo trip this summer, so this is an extra helpful video for me. Thanks bud
Ouch!! Haha good luck!
Thanks. I have the same blue shapton, and a chosera 1000. Should get it done.
Love watching here in the UK 🇬🇧.
I'd like to get my garberg done like this
Great job
From my understanding Naniwa puts extra polishing compound in the superstone / specialty stone line to make them excellent polishers. I have the 5K,8K and 12K for razors
Very nice, you make good.....great!
I’ve been sharpening knives for years, and your skill still amazes me.
Great video buddy looks awesome
Thanks bud!
No lie , that edge is scary sharp. You got a beautiful edge on that knife and im sure your customer will be over the moon about it. Just wonderful to watch the transformation 👏
Nice sharpening Video
How do you like your first Kansbol?
Another great tutorial for those of us working on our freehand sharpening technique. I am trying to encourage a friend of mine to not be so intimidated to sharpen his Scandi grind knife, so will definitely pass along this video for him to watch. Thanks Kyle!
Tell your friend that a Scandi is the easiest grind to sharpen! There's no guessing on the angle, and you can really feel when you're on the right spot or not.
You always make it look easy, enjoyable video.
such a good video man, your skills are impressive !! what do you think are the best bang for buck sharpening stones to work on this Morakniv Kansbol knife are ?
Dude, you could sharpen a hair into knife shaving sharp. Hahaha
Wow ! I have never seen a grind like that.
Another knife!!!! Story
I kind of forgot how great mora knives are, I think you just rekindled an interest. Might have to have a poke around for the couple I got poked away somewhere and give them some love.
In an earlier Mora sharpening video, you used various grits of sandpaper instead of stones. Is there a reason for one vs the other? i.e. the hybrid scandi would not do as well on the sandpaper? Or perhaps factory edge vs used? Thanks so much for your videos - I've really learned a lot!
I am not speaking for him, and not sure if I am remembering which video I am roughly paraphrasing what Kyle said as he has more than one using sandpaper, but I believe he was showing that you don't necessarily need expensive gear to get great results. I use various grits of sandpaper locked in a sanding block and stropping stokes for most all of my touching up of my edges. This works great on my Mora Companion especially since it's so easy to maintain the right angle on that scandi grind!
😅
It was your sharpening Moras that brought me to this channel in the first place. I've always avoided those compound grind Mora because of the difficulty sharpening so this one is very welcome.
Have you ever used or sharpened a Grohmann knife? I bought the survival #4 carbon steel early this year, and I've found that it doesn't hold an edge for anything. No matter how much I sharpen, strop or hone it, the edge doesn't get as sharp as my mora, and it loses what edge it does have after barely any use. I bought it mainly because I wanted to support local, but I'm kinda regretting my decision now.
Mora Knives amaze me. The knife in this video is a $35 knife on Amazon, but everyone raves about them.
😊😊😊
Can i send in my knives for you to sharpen? I tried sharpening one and it did not go well.
I find my shapton glass 320 doesn’t cut very fast does the blue black cut faster ,?
Blue Black is fantastic -- cuts really fast. I've got a couple of coarse diamond plates but I swear I get a better, faster, more consistent burr on my Kuro-maku blue/black. (Love the Shapton Glass 1000 and 5000 though.)
Great video love the sharpening videos and love my mora knife. What are you using for compound on the strop
Bonjour.
Belles leçons d'affutage, mais un skinneur, c'est surtout sur la pointe qu'il doit couper.
Merci.

Hahahaha... I think you scare easy little fella.
Wonderful and informative as always, thank you for your time making this content 😊
I watched the video ,, it didnt scare me at all.
Still confused on the “throttling” while doing the strokes? I thought we want the edge to lay flat because it’s a scandi ?
