  • This is my beginning chapter on finding peace and healing through the story I had buried inside me. This is the journey I went through with losing my mom to alcoholism. My only take away is to be able to let others know that it's okay to take the leap and share what tried to bury them alive. You've got this.

My dad died at 58 because of his alcoholism, talking is the best therapy! You can do this!

My mom just died in March 2021... alcohol...today is my birthday and I just got into my car and broke down because I realized it will be the first bday were she won't be calling to be weird and make me smile on my bday . I have been angry , denial , numb ....until today my 35th bday I broke . Grief is weird when you lose a parent to addiction so many mixed emotions

I hope your journey through grief and sadness is kind to you and I’m sorry to hear of your loss. Losing a parent to an addiction is a wicked thing but she’s got your back even if you don’t see it, I promise she does ♥️
