Wo, that was chilly, indeed! Cold weather sure makes camping more of a challenge. Warmer weather is in your near future. That homemade chair was amazing! Neat to see how you insulate the dogs from the ground. I do something similar. So wonderful that you can let your dogs off leash. Great video, very entertaining from beginning to end, and the scenery was unparalleled. Victoria has it all-- mountains, rivers, ocean. Incredible! Thank you for all your efforts and for sharing with us!
Thankyou so so much for watching and taking the time again to leave a wonderful comment! The nights were cold but the days were beautiful; we were blessed with sunshine and no wind! :) Yes, the dogs are getting on in years, so I worry but them getting cold. I shouldn’t have worried though; Xena found a spot at the back of the tent with no blankets or foil mat and slept there for most of the night 🙄😂 I hope you’re well; have a great weekend :)
Thanks so much for watching :) Yes, fur is a food group in our house 😂 I’m having issues with sound recently; once uploaded, everything sounds a little distorted. If you happen to be looking towards another how-to video, I’d love to see your setup. Your sound / mic setup seems to be perfect now! Thanks again and have a great weekend
funny, I didn't find the audio on this at all poor at any point from memory and I watched it right through-maybe we're both a little too critical on ourselves 😛 I have not done much other than to try and not move too much and get closer to the mic. I use the rode micro, so nothing flash and sometimes the phone itself. I do bump the volume up in post production and put a limiter on it at -6dB. That kind of evens it out, but I am still pretty useless at it 🙂 If I see an good videos I'll let you know ✌🏻@@youmeandtheGSDs
@@outandabout_oz that’s interesting, thanks for letting me know. Maybe I’m watching them too soon after uploading and before they’re finished processing. I’ll have a look at the mic, thankyou :) Also, ur sound is great! :)
Love the bacon and eggs you cooked as I'm sure you did! Trangia kettle I see aswell I think! I don't have many Australian adventure channels so it's going to be interesting to see more of what you guys have to offer 👍
Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving a comment too :) There’s nothing quite like cooking over a campfire, I think. And yes, the trusty trangia comes on most trips. A bit heavy for hiking though unfortunately
We’re about to release our video of our travels to that area. Loved Tomahawk Hut. However, Evans Hut had an unsettling feel about it. Can’t pinpoint it just gave off a “feel”. The creek wasn’t running nearly as fast as that when we were there either. Nice vid. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much for watching :) Interesting you had an uneasy feel about Evans Creek! We loved it but at times I had a feeling we were being watched. Probably nothing at all, but it was weird. I look forward to checking out your video :)
Nice trip Sally. Great improvising with the chair and well planned to bring along a chainsaw! I have ordered that Jack Stillman poncho myself and waiting on delivery. Not particularly ultra light, but I can see it is a quality item and may be useful. Thanks for taking us along.
Thankyou for watching and taking the time to comment :) The poncho is great, I’ve ordered a second one for Ric. It’s a bit heavy for me to hike with, but my pack us already packed fairly heavy (I’m working on. It 😅) I hope you like yours, it’s a really good piece of kit. Have a great weekend :)
just discovered you folk. ripper. being late 50s and bad arthritis in hips the walking is out. least till i get newbies. love camping though i sleep in my trailer with canvas top as higher up and easier to get out of. anyhoo, great to watch and a good laugh. thanks.
Hey Peter, thanks so much for watching and for the kind words :) Your camper trailer sounds perfect! There’s nothing better than getting out into nature and soaking up the landscape and solitude :) Happy camping!
Thanks so much for watching and taking time to comment. It’s either a 2012 or 2013 (I can never remember!) They’re a beast of a 4wd aren’t they; we love Percy to bits!
Cracker spot. I would love to take my doberman up VHC but not sure how the rangers would take it! Do you often come across rangers or are your gsds assist dogs? They are beautiful by the way. Happy to chat offline if needed
Thanks so much for watching :) As long as you’re not in National Park, it’s fine to have dogs :) we’ve never had any issues with rangers, but we also make sure we stay out of the NatIonal Park areas with the floofs are with us. Good luck :)
Thankyou so much for taking the time to watch and leave a comment. I found the recipe from the ‘set to hike’ channel. The video is called, ‘honey beef stirfry’ ruclips.net/video/Asy3bixeUDY/видео.htmlsi=Qs_hIMDjINPB8ter
Thanks so much for watching :) The tent is an Oztent RV5. It’s a great tent and super quick to put up, the only downside is that it’s quite long packed up, so needs to travel on the roof
Another wonderful adventure, enjoyed it from beginning to end. Beautifully filmed & edited. Thanks for bringing us along & for chatting with us. -I would have liked to seen some 🎾 play with the dogs but I know most people don’t care for that. I shared your wonderful video on community, hope it helps. Hopefully RUclips will start recommending videos like they use to. Your videos are great & they deserve to be seen. Have an incredible day. 👋🏻🐾
Thanks so so much; another beautiful comment and thankyou for sharing :) Thanks for the feedback too; I did take some ball play footage; not sure why I didn’t include it. I’ll definitely add it in next time :) I hope you and Riggs are well. Have a great weekend and I look forward to ur next video :)
Nice video and hello from Atlanta Ga ❤❤❤❤
Thankyou so much for stopping by from the other side of the globe :) We appreciate the comment too.

The high country is always beautiful, even when everything (including us) is frozen solid :)

عاااااااااااش م شاء الله 👈🔔👍🙏🌹
All you two need is a little flyfishing set-up, take the odd trout out of the creek (for breakfast) and you wouldn't want to call the king your uncle.
😂😂 never tackled fly fishing before, but willing to give anything a go :)
Thanks for stopping by :)
Great video. Love the GU! Looks like a 2016? I have a 2011 and can't wait to get back to the high country

@@youmeandtheGSDs the 3 litre is a little slow up hills 🤣 but I always appreciate the drive train and solid axles on the tracks!
@@odnuas yes true!
We had the exhaust and intercooler upgraded and ems remapped (I think that’s what it’s called) made a huge difference.
Wow, it wasn’t that clean last time I was there.
Thanks for stopping by :)
It wasn’t too bad, but we did need to clean up some rubbish left behind by others.

Great vid and a beautiful spot to camp , I highly recommend getting an exped mega matt they have a high r rating and warm as toast .
Thanks so much for watching :)
I just googled the mats; they look great. Thanks for the tip. We’ll definitely check them out!
Great video. What tent are you using ?
Thanks so much for watching :)
