I love twenty one pilots obviously my fav band ever. There is just something about Tyler. I've heard every Tyler Joseph song. Tyler knows that he's a testimony that you can stay alive. In an interview Tyler said it's not about the Fame for him it's about that one life that he can save/change. That's makes his whole life struggles worth it😱😱🤯🤯🤯❤️❤️❤️🥒🥒🥒💯💯🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
I agree with you. I've always thought God was MY inner voice, not someone else's. And I love, more than anything, the raw emotional delivery of Tyler's voice.
In the US semesters usually start in September. So I think he is saying someone (or himself) is leaving for college because they got a letter of acceptance. And he says he tries so hard to fly but his heart won’t go very far. So maybe he is struggling to start that chapter in his life? Or do what his peers are doing? By the way I was one of the people who requested this thanks for doing it!
I love some of the insight, the wisdom that you've espoused... I'm not always on board with your interpretation, but listening for those tidbits makes the time I spend listening worth it "Don't consider it breaking down, think of it as breaking open"... GOLD!
Someone can correct me if I'm wrong but Tyler did get a college acceptance letter to play basketball at the college level. That was his goal his whole life up to that point, was to go to college on a basketball scholarship. But by then he had discovered this new passion. He ended up turning the scholarship down and ended up going to a community college for a maybe 2 years before dropping out and going 100% into making TØP take off. No Phun Intended isn't my cup of tea but damn he was able to capture that point in his life so well. Many of us have been there, I have, same age even, those late high school years early college years are dark dark times for many and the fact that he captured that is amazing to me. I wish I had a record of that time in my life as well just so you can look back and actually see how far you've come. And fuck the haters man. If we didn't live on opposite sides of the planet and there wasn't a pandemic, I'd give you a hug or a high five or a pat on the back... fist bump... whatever.
The rant about ‘feelings’ and how Tyler clearly expresses them through music and I couldn’t agree more! As a singer I am consciously aware of what emotion I want to express through the particular song I’m performing. Some have incredible voices but just don’t ‘feel’ the song and therefore the message isn’t received as eagerly by the audience. The goosebumps come from somewhere right?!
Yes, school starts in September, but in his case, he had a basketball scholarship…but music was much more important and more therapeutic. Imagine telling your parents you want to disregard the sure thing for something that may not work out!💛💛||-//💛💛
Dude!! I wanted to say your accent sounds familiar!! You are the first fellow South African I've encountered who actually knows who Tyler Joseph is. We are far and few between, awesome stuff idk why but it makes me happy!! Glad I discovered your channel
Fall semester starts normally in September. So maybe this is his acceptance letter to university or maybe his anxiety about the unknown. Hope you’re doing okay today...you seem a little out of sorts. Keep your head up and forget the trolls!!✌️😎
This isn’t one of my personal favorites from Tyler’s catalogue, but I will say that I could listen to that intro with the organ playing over that marching drum beat all day long, that is so beautiful. I think you nailed the meaning of him going away to college too, by the way. That’s what I’ve always thought he was talking about
In the UK we start in September. Not sure on the USA schedule though, but in the US sitcom Community the early episodes are always set around Autumn after a summer break. So I'm guessing the USA is the same or similar to the UK. September start, finish in June/July
OMG, the first time i heard this song i felt it so much. The no phun intended album i really deep and i love it. you're amazing, thank you so much for loving tyler's music XD
To be honest I haven’t listened to this, but my thoughts, as often with Tyler, are extremely sad that such a talented amazing person felt/ feels this way. Maybe luckily for me I don’t understand but I’m actually disturbed by the human need to believe in a god and the anxiety etc that comes from always questioning him & yourself because of some need to believe. To me we are alive and that’s enough, just be you & enjoy your life without doubt from god and every one, sorry for ranting but like I said it just makes me so sad
Interesting, I've never really thought of it from that perspective. I'm guessing it's another level of belief...some people just almost always believe, some people struggle. 7 of my biological mom's 9 siblings are atheist, agnostic, or pagan. Her mom was raised catholic, but became agnostic as an adult, in part due to nuns at a catholic hospital telling her she'd go to hell if she got a hysterectomy that wasn't an extreme medical necessity. After having 10 children. She ended up a true agnostic...she wasn't sure if there was a god and she didn't care one way or the other. I ended up getting adopted into a catholic family at age 10, but it only took til 16 before I started to question my belief, which brought me quickly to agnostic then atheist. I don't remember struggling all that much, but it was a long time ago. I am saddened by indoctrination. I always said if I ever had kids once they got old enough I'd let them learn about every religion and decide for themselves if they wanted to follow any. I recently learned a lot about evangelicals from podcasts by Rhett & Link from Good Mythical Morning. They're both agnostic now, but they also spent years struggling with their faith.
I've talked to my also atheist boyfriend about their music. His opinion is, that since Tyler says he wants us to interpret the songs for ourselves, it's not really proselytising. I actually struggled with my willingness to be a fan due to some of the barely veiled references to religion, but then realized...a good majority of the musicians I like probably believe in God of some sort.
Kat Storm same, I love their music but some (very few) make me shy away a tad but I agree with your boyfriend. Trees for example is highly religiously associated but when I listen to it what I hear is someone calling out to their inner self that they have lost through their struggles rather than searching for god. I guess we all interpret things depending on situations we go through. From what I’ve seen Tyler’s church is pretty relaxed which is how I feel religions should be, and each to their own for what people need to believe in to help them through. I just hate to see pain, suffering & anxiety from these beliefs. If that’s what’s occurring it’s not the needed outcome and people would be better if without them
I haven't been able to keep my days straight all week. I thought Monday was Thursday. Now I'm thinking today is Friday. Tomorrow at noon Eastern US time
I can't friggin breath Phil, don't do this, lol. His lyrics takes u there. I don't believe in a god, I know he does, so therefore my interpretation will be different.
Fable uses discretion when messing with the Message Men, these lyrics aren’t for everyone but the Fable Fil understands 🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯
You forgot the comma in the lyrics-
lmao😭😭😭

Deep deep thoughts at the end. There is a hidden truth here that I have to meditate. Thank you Fil 🙏🙏

Yep. Depending on location, either late August or early September start. Ending in late May or early June.
