Must do or no?and if do is press the up and power button, right??so if want to on the steam again what should we do?i new in steamdeck and i wanna upgrade my 64gb sd,ssd 1 tb is ready and now i see tutorial in youtube
Thanks man just completed mine was scared at first didn't want to boot up right but definitely worth it went from 64gb to 1tb well Worth the upgrade I hope lol plus I have a 512 gb SD card so I should be more then good enough. Appreciate your help.
looked a bit in the comments, didn't see anything mentioning the difference between the two SSDs. The 64gb is known as an m.2 sata, and the 512gb is a NVMe, which also sits in the same m.2 slot. The m.2 sata had its own port in the past (hence the weird shape), but can be used in a modern m.2 slot. Thanks for the video, Would have missed the thing for a bit thanks to the wrap around the drive lol.
Followed this vid step by step to install my 2TB ssd, thanks for making this so easy.. gonna follow your tutorial for xbox game pass and epic games now, thanks again.
Nice tutorial. 👍🏽 I’m finally upgrading as well actually (Cosair 1TB 99$) but unfortunately I’ve stripped the FoilCover screw, now it’s idle in the case till I get some help elsewhere. There’s methods to extract it but..I’m worried of further messing it up. 15:49 *lol* 🍗
The look of the ssd is different because 64GB is eMMC which is SATA not nvme and the new one 512GB is nvme. SATA is much slower then Nvme but still much faster then microSD or HDD.
Marc curious why you didn't go higher than 512? Money im sure isn't an issue. I would think if you were to go thru the process, you would absolutely upgrade to a 1tb at minimum. Just confused.
Honestly Money was the issue. I've been spending too much $ lately. And I was about to buy the 512GB version cause of the sale. But decided to just spend less than $60, to save that extra money. thanks for watching.
Thx I never thought about flashing SDcard instead of usb key. It seems to be easier like that. However I might wait to pick up 1 or 2tb ssd to upgrade my 64gb as lot of newer games often reaching +100go.
You really just have to tap - and power until you hear the sound and release settings are bugged for some reason on reimage got a 2tb 2230 in mine replaced the SSD from a 512 to a 2tb with a 1tb mSD
Quick question. Let’s say your still wanting to use a 512gb SD even with your 1TB SSD upgrade. Is that the micro sd you use to flash or keep them separate? Just curious. I’m waiting on my steam decks now.
a little late but you can absolutely use the same sd card that you used to flash, after you already did the flashing there's no need to keep the sd card like that so you can just go back to use it normally
Please i need help... my r1 button was not pressing well so i opened my steam deck and cleaned it.. i mistakenly removed the ssd without unplugging the battery..... so after my steam deck came on and i noticed that my mouse and buttons are not working except volume and power buttons.. i only have window 11 on it. I have reimage to steam os and updated it but yet my buttons are not working except touch... please i need help asap. Thanks
Im just guessing now (since I havent tested it with steam deck) , but I had the same problem with an sd-card that I could not use it, but found out that if I used a low-level partition formating software, I could remove the partitions. and add new ones, and then format the card.
After i upgraded and Reimaged the Steam Deck, the installation is struck. Its not completing and booting into the home screen. Any idea as what needs to be done.
