Thank you for this video. I have to say that I do not think I would ever buy another FX air rifle based on the complexity of the design. While it is true that I shoot a lot, no other air rifle regulator has been nearly as complicated. The tiny o rings are cruel. I had to replace my aluminum air bottle because it had a bad O ring, and apparently, the part that the valve threads into is put on with lock tite, and it was impossible to get it off the bottle. I did not by a factor carbon bottle because I was afraid that if I ever had to get the valve off, it would be lock tited in.
Hello Mr. Rowe. I have a suggestion for when you’re taking out the o-rings from the reg adjustment screw and from the regulator housing (10x1.5)…it’s a million times easier if you use a sewing needle instead of flattening your pick or using needle nose pliers like at 4:52. Since you’re replacing them, you might as well poke it and insert the need horizontally into the o-ring. Removing it becomes so much easier. Just a trick I use that I thought I’d share. Awesome guide!
Hi Sir. Can You please show or make a video of how to setup de Maverick to work with only de bottle adaptador regulator?? In order to hace a bigger plenum. Thanks
Impressive….that little oring in the bottom of the reg is a flat out utter Beeeotch to get back in. Took me almost an hour. You did it fast. Really wish fx would redesign the amp reg. It is the biggest pain in the ass of any gun I’ve dealt with by a mile. They suck to re seal. Guess it just takes practice. Otherwise I love fx guns but I hate these regs so much I’m about done with the brand.

Earnest....a tip from the laziest bastard on the planet.(or just an old toolmaker)..run over to the lathe turn up a piece of delron or nylon to slide up inside the reg body from the opposite side......has to be flush with the "bottom of o-ring groove ) for (4x1.5 -nbr 70 or 90) depending on which parts list your looking at....lol....NO MORE FIGHTING IT....Slides right in.....WITHOUT pokin it with allen key....push mine in with a finger......Now..I think that tip deserves an EXTRA lump a coal in my christmas sock...dont you...Santa..lol...lov the vids man....
Just changed low pressure ( #2 ) on my maverick, but the damn thing loose pressure thru the venting hole, there are no reg creep, regulated shooting pressure remain 100 bar i set it to, even when bottle are empty over night.
HI ernest Thanx for your advice , i could get the same , i issue i am facing now is that there is a leakage of air from the vent hole in the plenum cylinder (opposite side of the 2nd regulator), and as soon as i put the bottle the leakage starts . i seek your advice onto which of the O rings may have been busted, look forward to your reply, thanx
Hey Ernest, Tried removing the o-ring inside the adapter and failed miserably! And idea who has one in stock new or used . When I screw the bottle on , the air just shoots out the atmosphere hole. Ty
Hey Ernest great video. My Mav had an extra o ring on the regulator adjustment screw right under the threads. Normal? It’s never been apart and I bought it new.
Hi, great video. I have a problem. When the regulators are fully open, I have a maximum pressure value of 120 BAR. Why can't a higher pressure value be set?
There is a test for that before adjusting anything, document the speed between timed shots for example, take five shots three seconds apart and document all the speed, then 4 seconds apart, then 5 seconds apart and so on till 10 seconds apart, now u can see the refresh rate of the current setup
Hi Earnest I recently removed my AMP regulator on my maverick due to a damaged bottle adapter. But as I found out the schematic for the parts is the same as the dream line Drawing F10101. It states on the drawing that the there are 2 different Belleville washers. Washer 10x4, 2x .06 and washer 10x4, 2x .05. I am not sure in which order these are supposed to be stacked and if it makes any difference.
Know what?? The spring thickness?? If so when you remove the spring washer measure the thickness- the thickness are mix matches, to get factor settings, some set are two different thickness and some same thickness- so measure your combination of sizes for reference to reassemble. Its one Method to set a spring washers strength.

I really wish you would do a short video going into detail about the washer stack arrangement. Still a little confused about that step. Thanks!

@@ernestrowe5061 we would like a video, showing off this custom maverick.

Where do you get the tool that removes the washers.

What size is the O rings on the adjuster mine are bad and can't find nothing that small
You make it look easy but it’s not bad once you done it few times
Any one that disassemble hundreds of regulators can make it look easy 😊

what bad rider is that where can i get same setup … do you work on mavericks with power problems ??

does it look like theres three orings? there should only be 2

Earnest where did you get the Arca rail for the Maverick? Please help me I’ve been looking for one.

As long you have enough reg pressure any stack configuration will do.
Where did he put the thickest spring washer? Is it me or does he just ramble ...
The reg piston is an upgrade to the Delrin one used in previous models? If so, would it be available for Gen one impact with a shorter piston (14mm)?
No, haven’t seen a brass 14mm piston
Where can I get that tool to put all the plate?? Any site??
At: 910airguntuningandrepairsllc.com
what are the gains in removing the second regulator?
More plenum volume of 160cc, with 2nd reg 56cc plenum. 160cc plenum more power, lower ES, more shots
So make a video about that, How to - Maverick with only one regulator ?!
Easy, you buy a plenum tube and you put it on the front of the existing plenum and now you have double the volume 164 cc
So does the factory know this lol.
Know what?? The spring thickness?? If so when you remove the spring washer measure the thickness- the thickness are mix matches, to get factor settings, some set are two different thickness and some same thickness- so measure your combination of sizes for reference to reassemble. Its one

@@ernestrowe5061 I think he means does the factory know you’re putting your Maverick on steroids lol. I would assume they do.
