Well actually it's not only this.
First, I'm watching the whole movie to select scenes that I found beautiful, then I'm creating parts in the song that I've choose so it can be the best to hear. After that I've to organize all the scenes and create a pre order if possible connected to the music. After that, I'm fitting scenes with the part that I've created before and adjusting everything to make the video better. This whole process take hours, weeks when it's a TV show so yes, it's work that I'm doing almost every day, but I'm liking it 😊

Didn't expect to see you here lol, but the last 30 minutes absolutely broke me as well. One of the only times I've sat through the end credits and waited for the loading screen to turn back on before I put the DVD back in it's case just because of how hard it hit me. Also I don't think people realize how big this film is. It tells the story of what's possibly the biggest mystery in American history. It's probably the only time we'll see Al Pacino, Joe Pesci, and Robert De Niro, the three legendary actors of crime cinema all in one film together. The amazing and revolutionary de-aging technology used to make the actors look young again. The Irishman isn't as acclaimed as Goodfellas, The Departed, or Casino but it absolutely should be.

This film was so beautifully shot yet the story was so painfully sad to witness. You aren’t supposed to have any kind of sympathy for Frank. But when you see him all old and frail talking about the life that he has had which he clearly regrets parts of, you can’t help but feel a little bad for him no matter what he did. He realises his life is ending and there is nothing at all left for him on this earth. He lived his entire life pretty much surrounded by people and we saw what was left at the end and nobody was there to pick up the pieces. Powerful stuff and a brilliant video tribute to a masterpiece, possibly the last truly great mob movie we will ever see.

Wide angle establishing shots, symmetry, fly-on-the-wall invoking sense of framing, attention to architecture and lighting that serves the plot and reflects how the character feels in the scene - this has a everything needed for The Best Cinematography and The Best Picture nominations for sure.
Rodrigo Prieto deserves recognition for this one. I've been a fan since Amores Perros, and he cemented his style with 25th Hour, Babel, 8 Mile, 21 Grams, Biutiful, and The Woolf of Wall street. Mexico is absolutely dominating with their cinematographers!

In my opinion, that ending, where Frank wanted the door to remain open, is Scorsese's message for what he meant when he said that the cinema that he knew was dying.
He wants the door to remain open for films like this, even though he's old, and the films that he knew back then, are not getting the proper attention that they deserve.
Overall, for me, probably one of the greatest movies of all time. It's a miracle that we even got to see this in our lifetime. It's almost like a clutch moment to have all of these actors in one movie and just how massive it is.

@George Adept well, the acting was sweet af, cinematography was neat, but it just thought it was so much smarter than it actually was, cut and dry and with no nuance whatsover; pretended to have a message and social commentary about class and oppression while it was just a simplistic, dumb subplot, it took scorsese's character studies as inspirations but failed to use them properly(see taxi driver and king of comedy and you'll see what I mean) and in the end it was pretty underwhelming in most aspects, good movie i gues, but not even in the top ten best of the year; seriously look at joker, in which the social commentary consist of getting the main character bear up twice in the first ten minutes, once by literal 20 year old brokers wanna be rapists singers who were so important that apparently killing three people on the base that they had money is enough to spark up a fucking popular upheaval, like really? that's the most clever the movie can be? It treats poor and oppressed people like stupid morons with no judgement, it could've been a goddamn heroin addict to kill those three and in a month i'm supposed to believe he becomes a symbol of...something? I can imagine parasie written by todd philips, where the rich family is filled of over the top assholes just so you can feel bad for the poor; joker tried to deal with things it just didn't have the brain for, and this isn't even the only problem with it; like it all you want, but really you have to want to keep on a blindfold to call it a masterpiece, jesus even logan dealt with its subject matter more elegantly; so no, i understood it perfectly, because it was written in a way that took ay challenging aspect out of it his mother was a poor poor lovely lady,so you can feel bad for her, until she wasn't, so you can feel bad for him, thomas wayne was an asshole, until he wasn't because he was absolutely right, but the movie can't aknowledge that wayne was never an asshole and that he was justified in treating arthur like that because that would get in the way of rich people =bad; that movies just has a weak script, I would not be capable of ripping apart the script of an 8/10 or 9/10 film, let alone some masterpiece, soooo maybe it's you who didn't understand it all that well, just sayin', i recommend parasite to see how it's done, and taxi driver and king of comedy are good places to see how jokee fucked up in the script department

I was born in the mid 90s so I still have no idea what it's like to watch a crima drama movie directed by Martin Scorsese starring Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, Joe Pesci, Anna Paquin, Harvey Keitel and others. It was a "once in a lifetime" kind of thing but what can i do when Netflix doesn't really respect the fan following / respect these guys have from length and breath of this world.

i usually don't post comments, probably this is my first time, but this video got me somehow emotional. before the Irishman i felt really bad that i was born after the great mobster movies era, that i didn't witness their release, in 2020 Scorsese made my wish true, a film about the decline of a gangster may be the decline of true cinema as well, about age and time and how this flow of change goes to a zone that kills what i loved cinema for. I have rewatched the film many times and i will keep watching it. this film isn't boring at all, it's a celebration for life, for the great moments i have had before with Scorsese films, it really has a mysterious touch that gets me affectionate. I can't explain it but i simply love it.
