- 🇭🇰 After weeks of missing a rush that can only be achieved through haggling, I'm back at it again in another one of Hong Kong's bustling fake markets. Come along for some adrenaline inducing bargaining at Hong Kong's most famous night market, Temple Street. From strange and interesting items, to amazing characters, this Asian fake market is one of the most fantastic places in the world!!

I also just encountered her earlier and I was kind of shaking, I sneaked out and run while she was busy she also did that to me she threw a stuff on the table like some kind of intimidation. I even took a video of her, so rude she forced me to buy her item/s, I said I don't have money, only peso no hkd that I need to go to money changer she said OK let's go it's like she drag me to go with her to follow her I said no NO it's my sister and she said call your sister. And I was faking asking help from one of Filipinos I met (asking directions before and asked contact numbers) and took me almost an hr for me to run since I got opportunity someone was there asking her items and she was still focused in me but once she was kind of away in the back I ran soooooo fast, that was so traumatic, I don't want to cause chaos, or lead to havoc or people gather I don't want a scene. I almost crieeed😭😭😭until now her face is still so clear in my videos. I took a video while acting as if I was calling my sister.
It is cool to get a good deal. However, a lot of these people are seniors. A few bucks may mean a lot to them.

Thank you man!! I'll be honest it takes a long time 😂 I manually add them in once the main edit is complete. Would use AI but they are not always correct so for now it's all me! it's one of the reasons the market videos take a while to get out!

I would totally agree if they were handmade but honestly they are not, they're machine made. You can find that exact painting at many of the other stalls within the market.

@@oohkana425 I get you 100% mate. My aim isn't to rip people off at all, I just want to show those who are travelling on a budget how to bargain as many of the vendors do hike up the prices massively if you're a tourist.

Funny enough, where I used to live in HK was right next to where that "activity" was very prevalent (Not that I ever engaged in it) But when I was asked on my way back from work (which happened a lot) they always dropped the price when I said I wasn't interested and walked off. So the same market techniques work if you're into that sort of thing 😂

@@jakecoopertravel Yes, a lot of doggy guys hanging around. Some at empty stalls which showed me fake designer bags on a tablet to choose from. I asked him how much for a Dior one and he quoted £170 or 1695 HKD. I thought I would pay £20 max but reckon the guy would probably go down to £50 after about an hour of haggling. I thought sod that and walked off with him shouting it's real leather. I also saw a couple of stalls raided by the police and tape off with them taking pictures of the fake goods they were selling.
I've been to Sham Shui Po market which is all electrical and second hand stuff like drills

Totally agree, I would have definitely given more if it was genuine art but I"m pretty sure they are manufactured and not handmade as there are so many stalls in Hong Kong selling them.

I am not liking the tactic nor the bargain interaction. Those folks are just trying to make any honest living, to a westerner, $10 or $20 hk is nothing, why press the issue? It feels like colonialism or exploiting the locals.
