I can't believe you put your bib on Otis and had him crawl the last 18 miles for you, I'm still so proud of you Cody. Choo Choo you beautiful udderman.
Hearing “Grandpa did it!!” used in the context of running an 50 mile ultramarathon is insane. Props to both Cody’s parents and to Cody of course 💪 we ascend together
Extremely inspiring how Cody took on training for an ultramarathon, becoming a father, and still managing to excel at work all in the span of a few months. I just started running again after not having trained for a few years, but seeing how Cody can take on this seemingly insurmountable goals with humility and gratitude makes me excited for the road ahead!
It’s so crazy that a human can run the same distance as an average horse’s maximum limit in one day my brain can’t fathom that. so proud of you Cody, what an accomplishment!
The pep talk at the end really hit me. I’m training for my first marathon in October and I’m terrified, but these videos have helped so much with my discipline and motivation. Keep it up Cody! CHOO CHOO!
Marathons seem insane at first but anybody can cross the finish line with a little discipline and motivation. I'm sure you'll crush it, good luck! We are doing Chicago & Hartford this October and cannot wait for the water down gatorade and banana at the end haha
Cody you inspired me to do my fist half marathon, marathon, and now I’m training for my first triathlon. Your honesty through training is so inspiring! Thank you
Seeing you complete these challenges is so inspiring! I am studying for the MCAT this summer to hopefully get into med school, although it’s a different kind of goal, seeing your persistence has really helped me stay motivated. We ascend together!!
You have seriously inspired me to start running. Im overweight, and still doing run-walk intervals, but im enjoying the journey so far. Thanks so much for all you do
Cody's work ethic is truly inspirational, not only for training and physical fitness but for life's challenges. The lighthearted nature of these videos make them a fulfilling watch as well. Love this channel!
I started running only about two weeks ago because I'm not the healthiest physically and I had some motivation from my parents who both have run marathons before. I have been watching you for about a year and had no idea you were an endurance runner! I've been binge watching all of your videos on this channel for the past week and it's pushed me to sign up for a 10k this fall! It will be my first ever race and I'm super excited! Thank you so much Cody you have been a huge inspiration to me
You have now inspired me to find and train for a 50miler! I have never been a big runner, mostly lifting but this year I have been running more and committed to a bunch of 5 and 10k races as well as my first 1/2 marathon. And I’ve just been inspired by your journey and also my own accomplishments that I have been looking for the next thing. I will definitely be looking into ultramarathons and researching more training and prep…thank you!
Massive Congratulations on this run, massive Choo Choo!! Love how you spoke about the endurance aspect at the end, it truly is you vs the distance when you take out the speed aspect! I'll be attempting my first 200km bike ride and also a 50km run towards the end of the year so I will take this mindset with me!
It has been so amazing seeing you grow into such an incredible endurance athlete and inspire a whole new crowd of people to join the sport of running! I am a collegiate runner and I have felt like a proud mom, seeing u grow into ur own since the very first Cody Trains Video you posted!! Choo Choo my friend
Miss this channel, running my first marathon at the end of the month. Loved watching your videos while training. Thank you for all the motivation Cody. ❤❤❤
Did my first half Ironman the same day you did your race! Thanks for the motivation. I was aiming for a time under the 6 hours, ended up finishing in 5:05:18 :))))
Since finding this channel (and Cody Ko) 2 months ago, I got back into lifting first. Life got so busy I would just put it off….tomorrow, tomorrow always tomorrow. First thing, got my lifting schedule back. Second, got a gravel bike and have gone on 2 rides a week for the past 3 weeks - I love the bike. Just went on my first run (absolutely abysmal numbers. Like 11:00 min pace for 1.7 miles LOL). But I feel better than ever. I am motivated to perform with more eagerness in my professional life and be more attentive to everyone in my personal life as well. Choo choo fuckers, we really ascend together !!
i rewatched this because i wanted to see the turning point for you where things started to feel better and it was after you ate at the halfway aid station. everything after that you felt awesome and energy was up!!
only a true canadian will run with maple syrup. congrats on the 50 miles! you’re the only youtuber who inspires me to push myself and achieve new goals. it is definitely hard when you have a baby, i take her with me on my runs and it’s a lot of fun! keep it up! choo choo
I feel like this one felt better for you because it was at home so maybe the climate and environment is better suited for your body hence why it felt “easier”, also less stress overall on ur body since u didn’t travel. Choo choo!
I can't believe you put your bib on Otis and had him crawl the last 18 miles for you, I'm still so proud of you Cody. Choo Choo you beautiful udderman.
"luckily I do have, well purse and luckily i do have maple syrup"
King
Honestly the maple syrup was the reason why this race seemed easier
Hearing “Grandpa did it!!” used in the context of running an 50 mile ultramarathon is insane. Props to both Cody’s parents and to Cody of course 💪 we ascend together
Choo Choo!
“Morning trail run” is always such an insane strava tittle when it says 50 miles. Like, “yeah just knocked out a quick 50. Just another morning.”
It's such a power move not editing any race activity, specially when it's a marathon or ultra haha.
Sorry to hear about your recent chafing in the taint. Condolences to the whole Ko family.
Beep beep, tainted rub....
11:08 "then, its all downhill from there, im gonna see my wife & my baby" lmao
Cody got dad strength and he still hasn't realised it yet
Cody is slowly gaining dad strength and doesn't know where the power is coming from haha

It’s so amazing seeing your parents finishing the race with you
“I do have, well, purse.”
“My phone is all covered in maple syrup” is the most Canadian thing I’ve ever heard said out loud. 🍁🇨🇦
"Sorry, my phone is covered in maple syrup, eh?"
It’s so crazy that a human can run the same distance as an average horse’s maximum limit in one day my brain can’t fathom that. so proud of you Cody, what an accomplishment!
Real OGs will remember “WE ASCEND TOGETHER”
I just started my running journey fully because of Cody. I did 2.31 miles today which is my longest. Plan to do a 5k, 10k and eventually a marathon
It’s so clear how much Otis means to everyone, he is going to be a very very happy kid, and always feel loved. It’s a beautiful thing.
The pep talk at the end really hit me. I’m training for my first marathon in October and I’m terrified, but these videos have helped so much with my discipline and motivation. Keep it up Cody! CHOO CHOO!

You did this on my birthday. So, in a way, I also did 50 miles. Boom.
i rewatched this because i wanted to see the turning point for you where things started to feel better and it was after you ate at the halfway aid station. everything after that you felt awesome and energy was up!!
when Cody took that step over 37 miles it would've been the perfect moment for the LOTR reference
Cody had a baby just to unlock Dad Strength.
Chat, should I try and start running? I’m feeling inspired
Yes. And may God bless you with this endeavor in Jesus name!! 😊
