    Loved it! I modified it a little bit to get an open vest 🥰
    I was also a bit confused so maybe this written pattern will help someone 🤍
    Start: Chain 100+2
    Pattern for one flower petal
    1. Row: 25 dc (double crochet)
    Description: dc in the 4 chain from the hook until the end of the chain (100dc in total; starting from the +2 stitches)
    2. Row: 10dc; chain 2; 4dc; chain 2; 7dc
    Description: chain 3 and turn; then 6dc so that you have 7 in total; chain 2, skip 2 stitches and dc in the third stitch (10 of the row); 3dc; chain 2, skip 2 and dc in the third (16th stitch of the row); 9dc (repeat till the the end, replace turning chain by dc)
    (when doing several flower patterns in a row from the last “hole“ to the next you will have to crochet 17dc then again chain 2 skip 2 dc in the third etc.)
    3. Row: 7dc; chain 2; 4dc; chain 2; 4dc; chain 2; 4dc
    Description: chain 3 and turn; 6dc; chain 2, skip 2, dc in the third; 3dc; chain 2, skip 2, dc in the third; 3dc; chain 2, skip 2, dc in third; 3dc (repeat till the the end, replace turning chain by dc)
    4. Row: 1dc; chain 2; 4dc; chain 4; 1tr (triple crochet); chain 4; 4dc; chain 2; 4dc
    Description: chain 5 and turn, skip 2 stitches, dc in the third (4th of the row); 3dc; chain 4; 1tr (triple crochet) in the middle hole from the previous row; chain 4, dc in the 16th stitch of the row; 3dc; chain 2, skip 2, dc in the third; 3dc (repeat till the the end, replace turning chain by dc)
    5. Row: 1dc; chain 2; 4dc; chain 5; 3sc (single crochet); chain 5; 4dc
    Description: chain 5 and turn, skip 2 stitches, dc in the third; 3dc; chain 5 and single crochet 1 in the hole before the tr, 1 in the tr and 1 in the hole after the tr; chain 5, dc in the 22 stitch of the row; 3dc (repeat till the the end, replace turning chain by dc)
    6. Row: 1dc; chain 6; 5sc; chain 6; 4dc; chain 2; 1dc
    Description: chain 9 and turn; 5sc, 1 in the hole before the middle of the petal, 3 in the 3dc from the previous row, 1 in the following hole; chain 6, dc in the 19th stitch of the row; 3dc (repeat till the the end, replace turning chain by dc)
    7. Row: 1dc; chain 2; 4dc; chain 5; 3sc; chain 5; 4dc
    Description: chain 5 and turn, skip 2 stitches, dc in the third; 3dc in the petal; chain 5 and single crochet 3 in the middle of the petal (into the 3sc in the middle of the petal of the previous row) ; chain 5; 3dc in the other petal, 1dc in the 22 stitch of the row; (repeat till the the end, replace turning chain by dc)
    8. Row: 1dc; chain 2; 4dc; chain 4; 1tr; chain 4; 4dc; chain 2; 4dc

    Description: chain 3 and turn; 6dc; chain 2, skip 2, dc in the third; 3dc in the petal before the tr; chain 2, skip tr, 3dc in the other petal after the tr, 1dc inbthe 19th stitch of the row; chain 2, skip 2, dc in third; 3dc (repeat till the the end, replace turning chain by dc)

      I had that problem of symmetrical too! but i started with 101 chains. In row 2 i did this: 9 dc, 3x(skip 2, 4 dc, skip 2, 17 dc), skip 2, 4 dc, skip 2, 9 dc

      The problem I find with this pattern is that starting from row 4 the stitches are to many. We are working on a base of 25. Row 4 has 5ch+4dc+4ch+1trc+4ch+4dc+2ch+4dc =28 stitches (3 too many).
      I made a test patch with a base of 50 (2x25) and when I had made all the rows it was bulky/bumpy (not flat). Currently trying a modification where I change the chaining (not the skip 2's) to match the base number of 25.

    Hi, kinda confused about the second row. If we had 25 ch for the foundation chain how do we end up adding 17 more dc on the second row?
    Row 2: turn, 6dc, ch2, skip 2 St, place dc on the third, add 3dc, 2ch, skip 2 St, place dc on the third, then add 17 DC???? Hehe

    • @fricruz5884
      @fricruz5884 Год назад +3

      In the beginning she explained that she was going to use only 25 chains to explain how to crochet the flower, but to make the top you need at least 100 chains for the foundation. So row 2 is:
      3 chains that work like the first dc, 6 dc, 2 Ch and skip 2, 4 dc, 2 Ch and skip 2, 17 dc, skip 2, 4 dc, skip 2, 17 dc, skip 2, 4 dc, skip 2, 17 dc, skip 2, 4 dc, skip 2 and you end the row with 10 dc.

    If we need 100 chains for the pattern to work, and we dc in the 4th chain from the hook at the start, then 102 chains is not enough, right? Because you’d end up with 98 stitches. So we need 104 chains at the start

  • @krisserg.6661
    @krisserg.6661 Год назад +2

    On the 3rd row, at the end, after the last gap, I end up with 3 stitches of dc. But according to the video, for the next row I have to chain 5 (for row 4) and skip so I dc in the stitch before the gap in the row underneath (the 3rd). In the video I see that she has 4 stitches at the end of her 3rd row. So how come I only have 3? I’ve counted, and there are the same exact number of stitches in each “flower square” adding up to a 100 stitches in total. What am I doing wrong😭
