I can imagine how satisfying it felt to play through this song from start to finish for the first time.
Not as much as learning it.
@@kevinzhang3313 Can't agree with you here. If you learn truly difficult song for a long period of time your first time playing it from the start to the end feels very satisfying. You literally think that you conquered something big.
True :)
Oh yess!
Appreciate Video clip! Forgive me for chiming in, I would appreciate your opinion. Have you considered - Riddleagan Smart Hands Remedy (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now)? It is a good exclusive guide for learning piano fast without the hard work. Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my cousin after many years got astronomical results with it.

“Lets find another video”
It was like: "ight imma head out" .. xd
Izacly same here 😂
Same🤣🤣🤣
I've been learning this, and that section is actually relatively easy it only consists of four different notes (but it totally LOOKS intimidating).
The trickiest part I have gotten to so far is 1:37 - I cannot play this at full tempo for the life of me.
Same ahah
I bought the sheet music today and immediately started practicing, four hours non stop. My brain is about to burst and my fingers hurt but it’s so worth it. Phenomenal piece, absolutely incredible.
Can u play it now?
Hello, could you send me the sheets, please? I know its bad but i love this piece, and i cant afford the money to buy and play it
could you update your progress? would love to hear from you.
hi can you tell me where did you buy it? Thanks
And then, how's it going???
I genuinely hope you see this because I have spent the last 9 months learning this piece and have finally learned it. It was by far the hardest thing I've ever earned but also the most fun. Thanks for providing something that pushed me as much as it did
That's awesome, glad to hear it! I grew up inspired by other RUclips pianists like kyle landry, theheartrender etc. around 2008-2011, glad I can pass the torch.
Anders Rasmusson try Liszt’s Campanella, it’s gonna be fun
@@aSongScout Kyle's always been a big inspiration of mine too
Why don’t you make a vid of you playing it too
can u send me a copy of the sheet music? I'm not able to buy the song atm lol
Man haven't shaved ever since he started practicing this piece.
hahah
It's hasn't* when you're referring to someone else
@jeff kim wow calm down 😂
@lalala lalala I know, right ? 😭😂 but still you guys are kind of "antigrammar nazi" jkjkj

This is actually the best tribute to the movie, and shows how Sebastian (main character) have been played in the epilogue in his jazz club, without the orchestral arrangements/interpretation.
Congratulations !
actually i think he played only the beginning and the part after city of stars

I usually don't like piano covers but this one is just out of the ball park. Please never ever delete this video. It's too precious for me.
It's the type of songs that changes everything I was like you ; )
yep it really is beautiful :)) also, I posted a la la land piano medley cover! You'll hear mia & sebastian's theme, another day of sun, city of stars & the epilogue. Here's the link: ruclips.net/video/edRZC1j_YDg/видео.html I'd really appreciate it if you had a listen :)
Agree
Before 0:53 I was thinking I could probably play this. I was wrong.
i mean its all in the muscle memory and like 20 minutes of practice
nvm the rest hard lol
Kira Wootton don’t give up you could do it if you practice I finished moonlight sonata move my 3 opus27 because of it lol
@@thehappypiano2985 wat?

Mine's too!!
You'll make it happen!! Keep practicing :)) also, I posted a la la land piano medley cover! You'll hear mia & sebastian's theme, another day of sun, city of stars & the epilogue. Here's the link: ruclips.net/video/edRZC1j_YDg/видео.html I'd really appreciate it if you had a listen :)
I think there are pieces that are by far more beautiful.
@@monotyc6085 Who cares?
Fun fact: I quit piano 3 or 4 years ago but watching La La land and hearing Sebastian and Mia’s theme somewhat inspired me. Also for the fact Ryan Gosling just learned this and didn’t even need a stunt double to help inspired me and this was the first song I played in 4 years. I practiced really hard and achieved my goal and it made me realize I want to start learning again.
Hahrahm Kim that’s so amazing !!! Your story also feels quite inspiring ^-^
Sunny Draw thank u
Same with me! The movie is really inspiring (not just in that way... but a lot in that way)
I didn't think it was possible to hear a version on the piano that is inclusive of all the non-piano instruments! just outstanding
I've watched this an unhealthy amount of times
I feel your drama, Emily

My 14 year old daughter loves La La Land. Once she discovered this video she shared it with everyone in the family. She watched it countless times. She’s currently learning Mia & Sebastian’s Theme. Watching her struggle with that piece really shows me how hard it is to master the piano. Thank you for your hard work, it was truly beautiful. Amazing job! What an inspiration!
I love this film like seriously 😄😄😄
Agree
How's her progress?
How’s she doing?
La La Land is my most favourite movie ever.
A!IVE8Z Maybe not mine, but yours is still great, very heartwarming/breaking :(
@@perroserio then what's your fav movie?
Nabil Makaarim I think I don’t have one, for me having a first place would be unfair for so many excellent movies
Interestellar is perfect too
Kevin Leite Yeah, Nolan is a genius. I think that’s one of the great things we have in this world, there are so many good directors and we have the lucky to exist at the same time they’re, it’s cool that we can go to the premier of such good movies.
I love how in mia & seb's theme, there's a part for each person. The higher notes represent mia and the lower ones represent seb. But in epilogue, only the lower notes are played. And after a period of bittersweet memories, seb returns to the present, being bitter all over again. They both got what they want except each other. Damn i love this
Thanks for watching guys! This is the second biggest piano cover I've ever done. I put off finishing this one for months but I finally went back and completed it. I'm hoping to have videos up on this channel more regularly now :)
omg this was absolutely beautiful man!! youre a genius! congrats
This is amazing!!
Definitely need this sheet music on Musicnotes.
Dude you just earned a sub
aSongScout another sub earned, amazing arrangement
wish i could even play it tho 😂😂
After not playing the piano for over two years I honestly thought I would never get back into it. Then I stumbled upon this video, and I've been playing hours every day, thank you!
Wow that's amazing! :) Best of luck on your future piano endeavors

What could possibly influence an individual to dislike something like this?
Willy the fact that they can’t play this beautiful
Heartbreak and jealousy
The only thing I can think of is a dislike of the movie of the same name?
I think that this version captured neither the essence nor the feelings of the original piece or the movie...
In most parts...
Jealousy

This video is inspiring me to start playing again. So beautiful.
Great!
Why does this make me wanna cry but feel super happy and jumpy but dead inside all at once? It's so beautiful😭😭
I’ve also made a very unique piano cover on the LaLaLand theme would mean so much to me if you could take a look ☺️☺️☺️🙏
This is not just the most professionally presented cover, it's also extremely talented and inspirational! I haven't played for 15 years and now I feel like jumping straight onto my dusty keyboard after watching this. Thank you so much for your hard work!
Brilliant! I have watched at least 20 times and purchased the sheet music. You have inspired me to pick up the piano again after 17 years. I literally stopped taking lessons in 2001. THANK YOU!!
u listen to her's?
Hey SR, how are you doing? Just bought the piano sheet for the cover of La La Land epilogue and saw you bought it too. Did you notice that the notes of bar 139 and 140 on the sheet are bit different as how the musician played in his demo video? Sounds to me that the left hand are rather in treble clef than in bass clef?
Thomas Zhang i do
This was great. Obviously a lot of work was put into this, glad you decided to follow through. Will keep an eye out for whatever's coming next.
I'm impressed by how little of this uses common meter. And even then, it's not like you simply used 3/4 and 6/4, which are common enough alternatives. This actually goes through stuff like 9/8 and 27/16, and switches meters very frequently. In a world where almost all pop music is in 4/4, that's incredibly impressive.
@@Raytay286x I was convinced that it said 27/46 - I might be blind

I swear I get shivers every time I watch this--especially at 4:49-5:20. You are probably the most talented pianist I've ever had the privilege of hearing.
Oh my goodness, I can't believe this was just uploaded today! I watched La La Land for the first time a few days ago and have been obsessed! This is my favorite arrangement from the movie and you did a fantastic job, thank you for this!! Such talent!!!

After many requests, I have also finally made a piano tutorial coupled with a learning guide where I go through the piece and point out how to approach learning tricky parts and things to watch out for. It's at my Patreon page on the $5 tier: www.patreon.com/aSongScout
aSongScout Oh my god I love your arrangement so much. I think it is the best!
Great job, as always.
Kinda irrelevant to the video, but your fugue in a major video was the thing that got me into Shostakovich and I'm really thankful for that.
I just want to say that this arrangement is the most beautiful thing I've heard in my life. Your work is fantastic, and cannot wait to get my hands on the music!
thank you so much for this. this is the motivation i've needed to finally learn an advanced piano piece. my girlfriend loves this i hope to play it for her. thanks again
Thank you!! I've been learning your previous version for weeks now and I'm sure this will be super helpful!
I was having a really down week and this video completely turned it around. Thanks for posting this!
Guys if you have small fingers, you can still play it 💯!!! I have small hands and a tiny pinky finger (yess, 5cm. Ik really small😅). And I am almost finishing this piece. You can do it!!! Hard work pays off!!. I also, at some point learned Moonlight sonata 3rd movement and I have tiny hands. Nothing is Impossible guys. You can play the Song regradless 😎🙏✨
I don't know why but this part feels like spring to me, it makes me think of summer dresses and beautiful flowers 3:35- 4:00
Still here, it's spring time now I'm so happy

Yes! I've been waiting for a pretty advanced version to play that also is closely transcribed to the original songs. Thank you sir! You just made my dream come true. Hopefully get through half of this piece today
Awesome!
Do your majestic beards give piano powers? Cause if it does I will start growing mine. Wont be as majestic as your beards tho
Hola hola hola hola! Was that sarcastic?? I mean did you realy mean to get through half of this peace in A SINGLE DAY?? Is that even possible?
Nice arrangement! I wouldn't mind playing this one myself one day, if you didn't mind of course. :o
That would be awesome! I'd love to hear your interpretation.

The beauty of this arrangement brought me to tears. Absolutely spectacular!
I must’ve watched this 100 times and still love it. I started learning late in life so it fascinates me to see such talent.
The talent you have is unearthly. This is honestly the most amazing “thing” I have ever had the pleasure to listen to. I don’t even want to call it music because it’s better that. This is mental
Who’s watching this in 2020 quarantine

I’m trying to play it but it’s so hard😭😭
It popped out suddenly in my recommendation hmmm
I started practicing this beautiful piece 10 months ago. It's so hard! But soon I'll complete it! I'm so happy to find this piece! It is really worth practicing!
I’m watching this in 2058 ! Wow
IVE FINALLY FOUND IT. THIS IS *THE* LA LA LAND PIANO ARRANGEMENT. THIS IS SO GOOOOD
Literally brought me to tears. To think I quit playing piano over 25 years ago and this week watched this and decided it’s time to start again! Thank you!
I've heard this beautiful interpretation since three years. It always makes my days better, I thank you very much, greetings from Mexico
I've probably watched this video more than 10 times in the past week. I used to play piano for 7 years as a kid until I quit about 6 years ago because I got bored and felt like my parents were just forcing me to take lessons. This video makes me miss playing even more than the movie did. Good job! :)
Ahaha wtheck. I have the same type of experience as you.
same here! 7 years leaving piano make me miss playing it
how are you doing? keeping it well???
I've never heard such a beautiful melody. I listen to it everyday. And I'll practice it today, too!
THAT WAS UNBELIEVABLE SO AMAZING! I’m a huge fan of the movie and am very familiar with the songs. You nailed every bit of it! Massively impressive with the trumpet’s high note at around 4:00. On point!!
This is honestly amazing, you're a really superb musician. The arrangement is so neat and beautiful, you can tell the passion you have for music in both your performance and your arranging. I legit love your musicality in playing, if I never master this piece I could still listen to you playing all day cause you aren't playing notes you really are playing music and there aren't a lot of people, that I have seen that do that. And to add to that what you have done visually is amazing too, makes it so easy for me to follow where in the music it plays which part when I can't picture the sound.
Thank you very much! :)
I'm sorry to be not good at English, but why does people keep putting ':)' thing at the end? I really want to know.
(Was my English good?)
Why do* people
It’s a smiley face bruh
I just want to mention that that beard is fucking *M A J E S T I C*
It's just so special. I listen to this every morning. This inspires me to learn the piano. I may need to start with something a bit easier perhaps.
Thank you. You're a genuine inspiration.
well now that I'm stuck in quarantine I might as well start learning this.

I am so jealous and grateful at the same time. Wow! I just bought myself a Kawai KDP120 in order to learn to play the instrument by myself. It is so challenging coordinating both hands and in addition to that reading notes is a pain in the butt for a beginner like me. I’m not giving up by any stretch of the imagination though. I hope I’ll be able to play this piece one day. Might take me 10 years or 15 or 20. IT.DOES.NOT.MATTER.
J’ai rarement vu d’aussi belles interprétations au piano sur des chansons de films ou quoi que ce soit. Respect et vraiment bravo, c’est juste génial 😲
This is the song I want to learn for a long time! A transcription so close to the original music! Than you for your effort!
You sir. Are wonderful. It takes guts to put yourself out there like this and on the off chance you read this comment I want you to know, I’m a musician, I play piano small time professionally, and I’m thoroughly impressed . I can't explain how much I love this arrangement and this video! since i've found it years ago my goal was to be able to play it flawlessly. There's a lot of work to do yet but I'm getting closer, thanks for inspiring me through your keys!
If I can play piano this good, I'll never stop playing.
This is incredible! I admire your hard work, time, and dedication put into this. As a fellow pianist this inspires me so much to keep on playing.
Wow... after discovering this a few minutes ago and listening to it 2 or 3 times, I can only say: huge respect for this amazing cover, it just takes all of the awesome piano parts of the movie all at once. Sad story that I can't play the piano, because I would love to attempt this arrangement... nothing to be done for it, but I can still listen to your version which is already perfect. Just WOW!! Amazing Job!

OMG! THAT'S PERFECT! CONGRATULATIONS!
I truly enjoyed that mix of melodies from the movie! Thank you.
This litearlly makes me feel comfortable and i just cant describe the feeling 😭😭.
Emotions are gonna change, music will not, but all emotions will come back right at the moment the music is played.
You're so fucking brilliant, man. I'm a huge fan of this piece, and I can safely say that you've done justice to it.
it's so good I can't stop listening to it!

The thing is about pianists like him that when you would listen to them playing it is so nice. And when you imagine yourself playing too and doing it for real it’s totally impossible🤕🙄.
You're like "let me try it should be that difficult after you're like dammit 😅
It's possible, it just takes commitment!
By far the most complete and beautiful version! Congratulations on your incredible playing skills!
i come back to this video every month or so for the past two years and it never ceases to amaze me. this piece is incredible
I don't know how to play the piano. Could I possibly learn how to play this? My wife just died and i want to dedicate this to her.
So sorry for your loss. It would be very, very difficult to learn this piece without previous experience with piano. However, Ryan Gosling was able to learn parts of these songs for the movie without having a background in piano. He practiced 3 hours a day for 3 months. So it’s definitely possible with dedication.
Young Pablo there are tons of arrangements that are not so crazy difficult that still sound special. So I would go for that. But in any case, sorry you lost your love. May you find joy and comfort remembering her.
I've been playing piano for over 15 years and this would take me months to be able to play fully. Months of practicing regularly. (I have the burden of a very strong musical ear, so sight reading and the time signatures would be difficult for me.)
There are a lot of very complex musical parts in here.
Neville Longbottom there are good arrangements of this song that aren’t quite so beastly and still are lovely. Good luck!
I’m very sorry for your loss, may she Rest In Peace.
I don't have an idea of how many times I've watched this video, I love It! (Nice new picture of the video). I hope one day play like you master!

The type of piano you use as well as the tuning really fits the movie itself. I can imagine the scenes in the movie as I listen to this. Ive always liked your movie medleys!
