He said the album represents different moments of his life. I don’t know why SM did not promote his album and tour. Even EXO’s FB and IG did not post about his concerts. I am so glad I got to watch his concert. His concert was absolutely amazing even Chanyeol said that . Nothing beats Chen live with a live band. His voice is beautiful and superb. I am the most jealous person watching fancams durinf Polaris Japan Tour 😭 My Sunshine segment is the most wholesome moment in the concert where he goes down to the fans like he tried his best not to leave anyone out 😭😭😭 i cannot not cry while smiling with My Sunshine. I claimed this song even before it came out coz Jongdae is our sunshine then he said Soondingies (anyone who supports him) are his sunshine too 😭
okay but musically speaking... ON THE ROAD is fun to listen to BUT it's the hardest, for me, musically. The notes are complicated. I only listen to jazz/rock jazz but i'm bad at playing jazz chords on instruments xD Try singing On the Road PRECISELY😭 it's hard...unless ur Jongdae
❤ his vocals on this album!! A bit of rock a bit of funky, I love it so much!! He did so great and I’m so happy he got to do a tour in Japan, he seemed so happy & relaxed. He’s so amazing

Chennie said My Sunshine is for his fans❤Breakout & Free World were what Lost & The View are from D.O.’s Expectation album. Never can be sure which one is better and I’ve listened to these songs so many times that I’ve lost count! JD looked so happy & is back to his beautiful sunshine self on stage esp after his group stages in Japan. You could see that the fans’ love helped him re-blossom like a gorgeous flower🌸

I was waiting for your reaction to this álbum. I think it´s simply wonderful! 30 sexy, mature Chen ❤🔥😍The lyrics are so perfect for him and his actual life as you said. Oh! and maybe the song On the Road did talk about Baekhyun, for what they have come through and the lyrics say "hey my buddy" and something about lights! IDK maybe 🤷♀. Those supposedly EXO-L are nothing more but a bunch of TOXIC delulus. Another reactor thought the same about Mirage of Flower. Light of my life, was very revealing too, because I felt he was expressing what he needed to shout out to everybody. I think SM didn´t promote this álbum as it should be, and that makes me angry and sad. He deserves our support. (Have you watched D.O.´s cover of Rewrite the Stars?)
I love this masterpiece
This album is such a highlight of this year for me. It just brings me so much joy to listen to his voice and the fact that we got rockerdae is perfect! I figured that a japanese album of his would be quite different from his korean ones, because the target audience is more interest in another sound. Like Exo's japanese releases or Seventeen's, for example, they always have a different vibe than the korean's, I don't know.
I'm glad he did this album and the tour. He was able to show different sides of him and he just looked so happy during the concerts. I wish I were there so I could shower him with love and support too like he deserves. The only thing that would've made everything better was if sm had promoted him more (or at all, since they did nothing as usual). It doesn't surprise me at all, but seriously? F**king sm.
About my favourite in the album, that's a hard question, cause it's always changing. Although Mirage of Flower might be number 1 more often. Between his low voice, that guitar and the heavenly ending, it's quite difficult not to love that song imo. Although My Sunshine has my heart! It's just so beautiful and it's for us! God, Chen is just the sweetest. The part where he sings "you taught me how to smile, my sunshine" always brings tears to my eyes.

I love Chen's ballads but this whole album is just great. I loved the bluesy sound, the jazzy sound but I think Free World is my favorite. Can you have bias breaker songs that sneak in and become your favorites? With Exo my favorites are never static.
Also, can I just say that your nails matching the color of your shirt is so pleasing to see? Sorry, that was super random, but it just made me weirdly happy 😂😂

Free World is definitely my favorite off the album, possibly my favorite Chen solo song. It is everything I’ve wanted to hear from him. ❤ Break Out and My Sunshine are 2 and 3, in no particular order. Every song is really good though.
This is my favorite album from Chen. All his albums are great but this hits different.
I was also getting 80s soundtrack vibes from My Sunshine. Some Kind Of Wonderful for me though. 😊
Our EXO main vocalists have really been hitting it out of the park lately with their albums. Can’t wait to hear what Baek will give us when he’s ready. ❤
