My nighttime skincare routine is solely to repair and rejuvenate & your routine should be about that too. By doing this simple 15 min routine on a consistent basis I'm able to assist my largest organ in repairing itself faster and better & achieve such a beautiful glow.
📝SIDE NOTE: This routine includes the Retinol sandwich method. I do not use retinol every day so I'll make sure to upload a video on what that routine looks like when I'm not using retinol.
WHAT IS RETINOL❓Retinol is a powerhouse skin-care ingredient thanks to its ability to help with a variety of skin concerns, such as fine lines, wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, and acne. Technically, the "retinol sandwich" method does protect against potential irritation caused by applying retinol to the skin. Your moisturizer acts as a barrier, which keeps the retinol from penetrating to deep into the skin and reduces irritation. I'm a beginner to retinol so this is why the sandwich method is important for me.

As an esthetician I recommend putting the face moisturizer/cream after the serums😅 the cream is heavier than the serum so It will prevent the Ingredients from the serum to penetrate properly into your skin. Aside from that your skin looks amazing !!!

@@ainasyue1929yes I was thinking this too. I use my snail mucin before all my serums. I actually mix my snail mucin with aloe. That’s my layer before my ampoule. I definitely do a retinol sandwich too and I’ve tried that moisturizer she has it’s very thin. But my serums go first.❤

Essence should be applied before the moisturiser.
So the simple role is so from lighter to thicker serum and creams so the light serums can absorb into the skin.

@alessiajacquard its common to use retinol after using cream to protect your skin from irritation especially your eye area and mouth if its your first time using retinol

For beginner after toner which serum 1st can we apply vit c and then niacinamide serum😊
Tip! Try not to rub the products into your hands except for a cleanser,balm,oil ect.! And the retinol..depending on how strong it is, don’t apply to much at once and daily! You look stunning ❤

i think essence should be applied before moisturer?
Hello. In this routine I did the sandwich method for when using retinol. It’s moisturizer, retinol then moisturizer again. Usually when I do the sandwich method I sometimes skip essence or I just simply mix my essence with my moisturizer. But please feel free to do it your way for your skin. 🖤

You don’t have to use every specific thing that I use. Use what your skin is asking for. Use products that have ingredients in it that will help with your acne prone skin. I will recommend the medi heal toner pads and some mixsoon been essence (vegan alternative) if you’re not into the whole snail mucin one from Cosrx. Those are amazing products to have in your line up. Just my opinion and preference. Hope this helps friend 😊🫶🏽

Am I doing it wrong? I am using my snail mucin essence as the first step in my skin care and you did it as the last step
My first step is to always double cleanse just to make sure I get all the sunscreen off my face that I wore during the day. Then have my skin in prepared and ready is when I apply my snail essence. Your face must be dampened before applying the essence though, so I use rose water. Hope this helps 🖤

I can’t tell you why but I can recommend a vegan alternative to the snail mucin which is what I use now. It’s the mixsoon bean essence. The essence “Gently exfoliates with moisturization. cream before essence?
Hey! Yes, In my routine I used what’s called the sandwich method. It’s when you add cream first , retinol and then cream again. This helps create a barrier for those sensitive to retinol or for beginners. You can also mix your cream and essence together which is what I did after the sandwich method. You can definitely change things in your routine! Hope this helps 🥰🖤
