@@OoraMusic Beamish Electronics in Cleveland has repaired both of mine, and many of my other old Lexicons. I cant say enough great things about their service, and they are great guys as well.
Nice score! Daniel Lanois uses one of these like an instrument. To me one of the coolest looking rack effects ever. TC 2290 is up there too. I’m going to try to cop some of these sounds with a Boss DSD-2 and Ibanez DML20 combo.
You could get these for $300-$400 for about 10 years after plugins took over in the 2000s, then they got expensive again in past several years. They happen to look incredibly cool, but the delay bandwidth is not good, probably worse than a BBD delay. A lot of people apparently like it for being lo-fi, but I found it very limiting.
I love this thing, just I wish I could afford one. But I use the Soundtoys plugin version on almost everything. A lot of times not even as a delay. I’ll set the delay time to zero and use it to downsample the source with the multiplier because I love the texture of it. Or use the lfo to add a little pitch warble. It would be amazing if someone would make a modern pedal inspired by this unit because I really would love a hardware version that’s (reasonably) affordable.
my absolute favorite delay. I use it on everything from drums to vocals. of course I have only the plugin, the real thing is impossible to get in good condition for a reasonable price.
I used to love mucking around with this in the downtime at the studio I worked at in the 1980's. Also the Publison IM90 was fantastic.
fun one for sure!
The 93 makes everything that goes through it sound much better. Expensive, and worth it.
sadly mine needs repair now 😭

Your stuff is the most inspiring here on youtube. When i watch it i always feel like going in the studio and experiment with what i got.
happy to read this. really pushes me to do kore and better!
That thing is incredible looking. So expensive though! Wild.
It really is! I guess a collectible item!
@@OoraMusic If you ever decide to throw it out I know a guy.

they are super limited true, they have a cool sound tho. I got it in a deal, not sure if I would buy one.

Yes its great on textures duty! a pedal would be amazing
great and rare device. great explanation. but really, focus lock is easy to do on any camera, and so much softer on viewer's eyes!
I like the way both units have a unified color scheme.
love the design too!
Forget the (awesome) PT: playing one of those godawful KM keyboards captures my fascination in this one.

very true, mine already need fixing
Why is it impossible to get ? What .. did lexicon make 10 units … surely they’ve made 100s of these
It adds great character. Requires deep pockets to buy.
very true!
So gorgeous.
You have give me an idea 🖤💜🖤
Nice box!
:)
Divine.
:)
Looks full of little happy accidents. ☺️
yep!
What's the modern pedal closest to this?
I know there is few plugins, but no pedals that I know of.
oto bim I would say, uses real 12-bit conversion. but doesn't sound as tapey, and more like a Lexicon pcm 41/42
