Are you kidding? Have you seen the documentaries on the boot camps for our military? They get as little as 4 hours of sleep the entire week during their hell week. These kids have not been INTRODUCED to Hell!
I know exactly where the coaches got this from. The military. They do this exact thing but instead of only worrying about 7 days, they have to persevere through 4-5 months of this. AND its tougher. I think that it's great that they instill things like these in todays highschool kids. they should do it everywhere

Having played football in both High School and college, and now fighting at a high level, I have no appreciation for this. Rather than the coaches focusing on things that do win games (game planning, smarter conditioning and speed drills, lifting programs, learning how to coach) they get their rocks off by power tripping and treating HS football like the Navy Seals. 2012 win total? 5.
