A fitting tribute to those brave men who were heavily outnumbered. I love the Zulu film and have watched it many times. I remember watching it at the cinema when it first came out.

Excellent - It has made me wonder about doing a tribute to one of my great grandfathers who served in the Staffordshire regiment during the 3rd Afghan war... Something for me to consider! Thank you for the inspiration 👍 👍

A superb vignette....such emotions shown in so small a diorama. Zulu...a great movie with so many fine English actors....brings back lots of childhood memories. Inspirational work so thank you!

Like that you kept to the historical facts ...tea stained helmets etc ....not like the films !...I think in the film they even got some of the Martini Henry rifles wrong ...oh well it was the 60’s ....great job I like the defence scene ,wagon etc ....

That looks amazing! Zulu is also one of my favourite films. As the son of a Welshman, my younger brother and I most definitively watched it more than a few times... we lost my dad in Feb. this year... but I think he would have loved this one and probably would have attempted something similar as a result of watching this video. Thank you for sharing your work!

The figures and the dio are absolutely stunning. I live in South Africa but confess have no idea what the soil looks like in Rourke's Drift :-) The way you did it looks super cool, though. I love the way you did the base, too. It's very unique and well worth the effort you put into it. Excellent work! - Trevor

Another "New CW" video notification and I again know I'm in for a 20 minute (or so) treat.
Every time I watch your work I am amazed with the techniques, results and "scratch details". Not to mention how much I will (and have) learn.
I mean come on the Zulu shields ... its all comes together so perfectly as the 3rd party observer you know it looks absolutely wonderful but only when you see "behind the scenes" can you see exactly how much thought, skill and patience has gone into the piece.
Sir consider my hat well and truly tipped.

Great stuff very impressive. Been meaning to do something similar for a while so I have ordered these figures. I lived in South Africa for a couple of years and have been to Rorke's Drift . Just an observation , the soil could be a lot darker . I need to get some practice in before attempting this though as it is quite a few years since I painted any miniatures :-( Looking forward to your video of the painting of the soldiers.

Just recently I had looked at those figures myself since I am interested in the history of the southern half of Africa.

Most enjoyable. Having visited Isandlwana several times over the years, may I offer my observations please. The soil around that area of Natal is Murram, a red dusty soil made more vivid after rain. Elephant grass covers the area of Rorke' Drift and rather than looking like scrubland the shortest grass is waist height! I hope this helps for the future. Bravo!
