GMC DUKW and Ford GPA in the water

Here are 2 GMC DUKW 353 "Duck" and 1 Ford GPA being driven in the water.
This was recorded near Waudrez, Belgium during the 2019 "Refuge B40" event.

one of the DUKW's is late war built . it has a widen'd area on the free board near the front where the ladder is ( why ?) so a 105mill howitzer could be put in the back

My special needs son really likes DUKW and Ford GPA he finds them very interesting amphibians. He also likes locks they went through at 0:52 he says Leonardo Da Vinci was a genius inventing them so boats 🚢⛵🛶🚤🛳⛴🛥 don't have to go around peninsulas.
