- Rahasya: Konark Sun temple, which was built by king Narasimhadeva I of Eastern Ganga Dynasty around 1250 CE, is famous for its unique sculpture that is designed through a magnet to bring light in whole temple. In this edition of our show, we bring you the factual story behind the mystery of this temple.
I visited this place and this place is really awesome....half of the part is ruined but still very attractive...can just imagine how it was looked when it was built.

Also the Arun sthamba sometimes mistaken for garud sthamba in front of jagganath temple puri was taken from konark sun temple and some materials were also taken from this temple ruins for construction in puri when british archeologist with the british governors help stopped the puri raja from doing this. The temple is very old and older than thought the first one being built by shri krishnas son samba after which sun worship came into southern orissa.

A popular myth about this temple is about the magnetic stone in top off it and some metalic plates joining the whole temple blocjs together joined with the magnetic stone (haletite) perhaps! What it did was created a magnetic field inside the temple which kept a metallic chariot with the idol of sun god on it afloat in middle of air above ground inside the temple such that the first ray of sun entering the temple fell on the feet of sun god on chariot which reflected the bright sun light in dark room. Actually similar kind of architecture of magnetic levitation of idols inside a closed structure existed in the first somnath temple destroyed by mahmud ghazni in gujrat where the shivalinga was afloat in mid air.

I can undestand Hindi, but could not read it because of Devenagri Scipt. If any one could launch the hindi alongwith urdu word like Raysya which looks to me same in urdu and in English fondness or extream desire.

Rasheed ahmed Ahmed Bro Bisu Maharana was the chief engineer but the top of the temple was finished by his son,he was only 12 years & his name Dharama & After finish he jump to the sea & at that time the sea touch the temple

and here main engineering ,architecture was bisu maharana.....under whom 1200 professional architectures were working for 12years.

Also the muslim commander known as kalapahar was not suleiman kharani but his hindu son in law converted to islam known as rajiv lochan ray or biman ray bhaduri and later muhammad farmuli he attacked all hindu temples and destroyed them even the famous kamakhsya temple of assam!
