Everyone going to Colombia for business comes back with stories about how beautiful the country and its people is. I love it, having lived there for some time, it's truly one of the greatest countries in the world.
Along with Pegoretti these hand made hand painted frames are the real super bikes. You couldn’t convince me to spend $5-6K on a Specialized, Cervelo, or Pinarello after seeing how beautiful and well made these frames are.
This might be my favorite of your fine videos David, it's more of an editorial piece on culture and passion. Great information, reporting, coverage and congrats on that wondrous new custom Scarab!!!
Absolutely Beautiful Frames, Steel for me is the best way to go for an all round frame ...Obviously if your a serious racer then maybe going for Carbon due to weight is the best way to go, however if your not then going for steel is a No Brainer...Great Video 🙏
Maybe your best video yet!!! Many thanks for the view and scenes from Colombia and a serious frame builder....Cheers Mate!.......oh yes, enjoy your new whip, another in the personal stable
seeing the scarab founder/owner riding a skinny tubing, rim brake, alloy rim just shows that you don't need the latest or the lightest to enjoy riding your bike
Amazing production and content making this video..congrats. I’ve been using a Scarab Letras for a year now…it is an amazing frame that only deserves having a good time
I Dream about a Stelbel. We are driving to Italy each year and it could be a one year project, but i must say these columbian bikes from Scarab are pure art. A true Dream bike you got yourself 👌
Santiago looks very young for the founder of a 50 year old company! I like the more classic, simple paint jobs like your beauty. The more Pegoretti like ones are too chaotic for my taste. I have a steel BRG Naked that was custom made for me in 2011. Still going strong and now rocking eTap 22 and 28mm tubeless wheel set.
Scarab do make some nice bikes for sure however there are frame builders in Europe up there at that level. Enrico Belle, Mattia Paganotti, Ruben Duran, Barco, Pegoretti, Bixxis, Victoire, Jaegher, Bonanno, Ricky Feather and Saffron just to name a few. Give me a hand crafted frame made by one of the above over an s-works any day of the week, no comparison.
David!! thanks for coming and visiting us. We had a blast riding bikes with you! until next time!!

Would love to see more videos like this. I honestly didn’t know Colombia was so beautiful, and the people seem so chill. I definitely now want to go.
My custom bike through them is about done. Just got done with paint is in the process of getting built up. I can't wait to get it!

Wow! That is a great factory..........Colombia ah? Nice!
Thanks for sharing, David. I like where this channel going.
Their idea of choosing the tyres first, and based upon that the rest of the bike I really like.
Gorgeous bike , I’d love a custom steel frame . Great video in a beautiful part of the world . 👌🏻👏👏👏👏
Amazing content! Truly inspiring and validating for the reasons that steel or Ti is the best frame material.
Great video, production spot on👍
Gorgeous bike.
Amazing production and content making this video..congrats.
I’ve been using a Scarab Letras for a year now…it is an amazing frame that only deserves having a good time
Thank you!
nice spec n build - love it and beefy stays
Scarab is one of my dream bikes….

Very cool vide 👌
Met some of these guys @ Philly Bike Expo back in March. Cool guys and beautiful bikes.
Great video. I really like what Scarab does. It would be tempting to get a frameset. :)
More like this David
👍
David another cracking video and the bike looks excellent definitely a place to put on the bucket list for recycling. Any recommendations?

Also Hincapie frames made in Colombia
David. I need your help finding a 38cm carbon bar for my Pinarello F3 with Ticr Do you have a website that would help?
What's the frame's weight?
Second time in a short period I hear a brand sets tire width as THE basis for design and development of their specific models.
Not stainless steel? SS>Ti>steel
Colombia´s most exciting export? Vergara or ...? 💭
Hey mate , may you pick up a package for me while over there, I pay handsomely, just put it in the the scabra before the final weld, cheers
I know more exciting export from that country. It starts with "co".
coffee?
@pumpkinmeerkat3692 of course, i'm not some kind of junkee
who needs such overpriced bikes? have a custom steel bike for less than 1k$ and happy (from Trek). where are this world going with such prices😮🌍🌎😭😔😞😦😯
Trek make custom steel frames?
yes, for electra sub brand@@lionelthompson8008
@@lionelthompson8008 Nope
@@sandydennylives1392 indeed. Mr Kuzmin getting his facts mixed up.
@@lionelthompson8008 No one is doing reasonably priced mid level steel bikes in me land now, they've gone to the Alu dark side.
