      Yeah it should have a hard timer and I’m all for it’s effect ONLY slowing the ult timer while your in it, because literally nothing should be able to leverage that much pressure functionally indefinitely

      @@cooltwittertag Honestly I generally agree with flats when it comes to tanks as a whole- But im going to disagree with him on this one here.
      I actually largely agree with the tiktok he was watching. I also think ram is mostly fine, but his ult is "unhealthy" for the game. That said I dont want a huge nerf to it- And i think the hardcap on time the devs are probably going to do will be more than enough.
      I also think i understood what he was saying in regards to the strength of Ram overall. It seemed like he was just saying Ramattra will be strong or weak *depending* on the changes made to other heroes. Kind of like where mercy is currently, not to say she isnt too strong OR weak on her own, but shes definitely being "propped up" a bit by her ability to pocket sojourn. I think this guy was making a similar argument for Ram- where he could fall in or out of "meta" depending on the overall contextual environment of other heroes, more than hed influence a meta "himself".

      @@SidewaysGts exactly. the current meta is orisa and hog which have no mobility so the ult is very strong. If we had a dva or Winston meta the ult would be way worse

      @@cooltwittertag I mean that’s just people in general, if you like a thing you don’t want it to change lest it become something you don’t like, for example I for one LOVE the invuln on suzu, but I play a lot of kiriko and have fun using it, and I Don’t want it to change for that reason. My perspective is inherently skewed in favor of what I like.

      He meant it feels like being held hostage because in the GOATs meta there was one team comp that was far better than any other and if you played a character outside of it you were considered throwing.

      I don't think OP was saying that, I think he was talking about how toxic everyone in VC is. Doesn't matter if your team is winning, some asshole will always start raging because he didn't get his perfect k/d. I'm in Diamond too, btw, and yeah. If OP does think teammates is why he's stuck, it's not. Especially if you're support. So funny watching low ranked support players on Reddit say they have no carry potential and just can't figure out why they keep dying.

First, I’m now silver 2 💀 second, I don’t actually watch many top level players often, just kinda play for fun, hence why I only joined after it was ftp. That is besides skesti (or however you spell that one Mercy Mains RUclips channel, she’s awesome btw) I do think tho that I’d bump her down to A teir as I’ve played much more of the other support and see how useful their kits are. Kiriko and Ana are very good and you can self carry a little more than on Mercy (who relies on their team to hit shots while dmg boosted)

      I think for top level play mercy could be considered S tier, but in lower ranks people aren't that good with her movement so shes easier to kill if someone has decent aim and yeah the damage boost is not very useful if your team can't hit anything lol. I found it funny how the tiktok commenters were saying things like "yep this is definitely a silver take" when you are literally spouting facts for top level play. oh the irony 🤣

    My personal issue with Ramattra's ultimate (other than it lasting forever basically) is that he gets it WAY too fast. Sometimes even 2 times in a single fight

      @@DetoNateFPS Rein doesn't usually get away with doing that much damage that quickly. Especially with all the junkrats around if he drops his shield for more than 2 seconds to get some swings in he just disintegrates. Also, despite the fact that shatter is a hard stun, it's very often not possible to follow up on his own ult without overextending. And then Kiriko also exists. Shatter has fallen victim to suzu in a similar way that Rampage has.

    For Kiriko, I'm absolutely okay if they remove the invincibility, but keep the debuff removal. Suzu after shatter? Team gets up, BUT they are not invincible. Hit with an anti? Suzu removes the anti duration, no invincibility. Don't even worry about the damage reduction, just make Suzu do *slightly* more healing to compensate since the burst healing is rather low anyway. This makes Bap's immortality more valuable while allowing another support to small burst area heal on a smaller scale.
    Moreover, by removing Suzu's invincibility buff, it now acts as an anti-anti-nade instead of an anti-everything-basically-better-than-Ana. It evens the playing field.

      @@ghostly_remains Nah. The key here is that her bell does *too* much all at once. Adding a cooldown is still a get out of jail free card, and the healing is very low as it stands. It needs to remove debuffs only, not negate the existence of all debuffs and damage sources. Doing this alone would help to return several potential comps back to playable, instead of throwing or potentially overpowered. Plus while the debuff removal feels okay to play against, having what amounts to a secondary ult with the bell actually makes facing Kiriko feel like shit.

    I think what they meant with suzu was, let it still cleanse both ana nade and cc like rein shatter but if you get suzu-ed and then hit by cc like orisa or doom then there would be no ploblem in terms of implementing it, you just get hit like normal because you are not immortal

      a good cleanse is one that goes off as the shatter hits so no one hits the floor. Not one that makes people stand back up. Its one that sends a doom trying to punch your teammate through them so he goes off the map. Its one that blocks a JQ ult so not only does she not apply anti, but she doesn't hit your team and so doesn't get the burst heal. curing CC is one thing, preventing it is a much bigger part of her kit.
      Now if you think that's where it should go its not wholly unreasonable. It would just need to be on a much faster CD

      @@phil1500 but honestly one of the main problems of her current suzu is exactly that, it ruins a ult, to the point that theres no reason to not have a kiriko in your team, as not doing so makes you have the disadvantage by default, not only that but it also takes away much of the fun factor from the game, gamechanging ults is the most fun aspect of the game because players like to feel relevant in a match so having your gamechanging ult just be easly countered by another ability leads to a frustating experience.

      ​@@joaopedrofm1299 I get it, but that's just a fundamental aspect of the game. There are numerous abilities that block ults and you can justify not always having that character on your team, its about what they block.
      Take shatter: numerous tank shields, any elevated boop (particularly junk), ana sleep, bap lamp, mei wall, and suzu.
      Suzu feels bad there imo not because you can use it to block the shatter with a well timed drop, but particularly when you cleanse the shatter and everyone stands back up. Visually you hit the shatter avoided CDs but then something happens to take it away. Many things can stop a shatter, nothing used to get rid of it after the fact.
      On the other hand look at sigma's flux. Suzu has to be perfectly timed to negate its damage, and cannot negate the lift effect, its non-cleansable. I think a better answer to the cleanse is what we make cleansable after the fact. Whether orisa or doom stuns should count or should just give a brief window of invulnerability, for example, where they'd not die but remain stunned.

    Imo, for the Suzu change meatchunk suggested, it works well overall, but if it's basically replacing the momentary invincibility, the duration would need to be just a little longer than current to balance it out as an escape tool

      @@cooltwittertag Yeah this. There isn't anything more satisfying for support play right now than saving a teammate from tire or cass ult with a well timed suzu (particularly as there is significant counter play both in planning to keep suzu up for the ult and getting the timing just right).
      Ideally you take away the heal, the mild boop doesn't even need to be there and serves little purpose so drop that to make people happy. I'd even go so far as to decrease the cast time and increase the CD. Or they could go the other direction and give it prep and throw animation (like a press and release), increasing the overall cast time, but allowing a quick release in exchange for a telegraphed prep. It would make it easier to block something like a dva bomb, but harder to insta block something like shatter, and give the dps more head games to play with their ults so it doesn't feel as cheap to them

      @@Tatercon Ana and Kiriko are my #1 and #2 character, respectively, and I'll say this: every other nade is GOING to go through if you're hitting it. CD is longer on Suzu, and if they cleanse it, that means that Junk tire is going to smack them hard.

      @@Preaplanes the problem is game is unplayable if enemy team has an ana just tossing nade on the tank on cd and you dont have kiriko. You are forced to beg for a swap and your team usually wont. Kiriko needs to not hard counter jq and ana and ana needs to not counter every single tank if they themselves dont get countered. Ana might be the strongest character in the game right now tbh. If they really do get rid of m9st one shots/combos i think ana is going to take over and every game is going to be ana/kiriko

    On the cooperation part, we're seeing that with the support role right now. The support role doesnt have a noticeable impact on the game as long as they arent braindead and it feels like you're trapped behind hoping your team is actually useful and if not you cant do anything

    The beginning bit about feeling like you are held hostage because people don't want to play a decent comp with you is how my Overwatch 2 experience has been as a new player in Plat/Diamond. Coming from Valorant, where everyone in mid to high elos like to coordinate and play off each other.

      Because of how diverse the skills and move sets in OW it becomes harder for players to coordinate their placement and movement and maximize their abilities. I basically stopped playing OW2 ranked until I actually got a group of my friends to play with consistently for us to rank after a lot of practice together.

    What I really appreciate is the shield camera tech. I'd heard about it but nobody every said the necessary steps to do it so now that I know it's shield + primary fire I can start utilizing it.

    ramattra's ult needs an energy charge that drains when he blocks and refills from the little damage trails, but blocking drains it faster than it recharges. that way, it maintains sustainability but simply blocking the entire time just drains the ult's bar. however, if you decide to simply punch and just not block, it'll be the same sustainable damage he has now but he doesn't just have the option to hold block and back out or sit. ramattra wins a battle of attrition in almost every scenario in ult so long as he has a solid support and helps that support. this removes that and makes it a lot riskier to block with low risk

      Yeah sitting there blocking will reduce the ult's damage to nearly nothing, whilst throwing in nemesis punches tops the damage back up, so the case where the ramattra can sit on the objective getting healed is removed, as everyone is looking to take down the ramattra and if he doesn't time his punches in, he'll effectively do nothing other than being a damageless bob contesting.

    I think a way to deal with ramattra’s ult is make it last 6 seconds by default, and when near players, it ticks down slower by like 60% or something rather than lasting forever. This way you don’t have 3 minute ults and it can still be viable. The numbers i mentioned don’t have to be used, they are just examples. Thoughts?

    feel like a good change on rammatra ultimate is to still keep the infinite duration on it but have it slowly reduce duration even if there are enemies nearby as long as he keeps blocking, thus making it a more engaging tool weaving in and out of sightlines and keep his fun mechanic while not just making him a constant blockbot

    Maybe to balance suzu they could up the healing it does but make your own teams healing go through the invulnerable target too. This way it becomes a lot weaker as a 'oh shit my tank is dying imma take a free second to heal him back too full.' option without losing the characteristics of the character, maybe even make it a little more logical

    I like remattras ult but I do think it’s a little too good. My change would be have the ult last 5 seconds and always be going down. While people are in the ultimate the time slows down but doesn’t stop. I think that it should move faster while blocking so that you can’t just stall block.

      Instead of going faster while blocking it, It could go slower whilst depending on how much damage you're doing, so if you're attacking with primary aswell as the passive damage it will go much slower.

    I hope they do those exact changes with railgun. It's seems like the only true approach to nerfing that since it's byfar the best part of her kit. Get out of jail free abilities can be annoying so Suzu losing/replacing the immortality effect when it offers so much already will tone Kiriko down but she'll still be great since that cleanse was what allowed Hog to thrive even with an enemy Ana.

    About kuriko making cc immune but not damage immune, we do have an ability that does that. Fortify. Maybe something along the lines of how fortify works. Granted you use it on a squishy pinned by rein, they are still basically dead

    I've been thinking a lot about sojourn, and an idea I've had is limit her movement speed as her rail gun gets charged up. Include that with her slide, if she's full charged, she just does a little slide. I don't know if that'll be enough to fix her, but an idea.

      It'll feel bad to play her like that though, and she's already kinda boring to play tbh. I think it's better to get rid of that stupid random spread on her primary fire and just tweak damage numbers and crit multiplier until she's balanced. Slowing effects are so boring in FPS games IMO.

If Rammatra's Vortex worked how we thought it would, it would've probably been one of the coolest and satisfying abilities to land. Now it's just a rather niche, map specific tool or a bit of bonus dps and slow.

      @@aeloh6921 I do also agree I think her dmg should really be reworked to be more like 76 but blizzards seem to be massively opposed to that from what I have heard, I think upping her primary slightly and making her rail not crit but collateral instead would be healthier for the game, making her more of a 76 that can hold chokes.

    As frustrating as almost winning a flank exchange from a casidy who can't hit a head for his life because he has a little grenade, it still feels better to me than just getting stunned and having nothing I can even do as 6 rounds get fanned into my skull

    Honestly independently I don’t have a problem with really anything about Suzu, I think the issue is just it does everything at once. So a pretty easy fix is to just split it into two different suzus. You can have Cleansing Suzu, which does a burst of healing and cleanses status effects, but doesn’t undo CC nor does it make you CC and damage immune. And then you can also have Protection Suzu, which undoes CC and grants a brief moment of damage and CC immunity, but doesn’t do any healing and doesn’t cleanse status effects. With both being on the same cooldown it means she always has to choose which is more valuable in a given scenario and the enemy team isn’t completely shut out of options from one ability.

    If they make suzu damage reduction instead of immunity to damage, they would also have to increase it's duration. Depending on how strong the damage reduction is, it would have to go from 2 to 5 seconds imo. The issue with the long duration, is that you would supposedly be immune to CC for that duration. It would need to be playtested to find the right duration, and it may be necessary to change suzu so the CD starts after the effect is over

    Hot take (actually more like lukewarm but still): Even if all one-shots were removed, 99% of players would still find a way to turbofeed their healthbar from max to zero in .025 seconds every other team fight. The fact that oneshots exist just gives you an excuse to blame your death on a game mechanic rather than your own utter stupidity and 2 head playstyle of standing in spammable sightlines 24/7 eating damage like you're Roadhog at an open buffet

    I don’t think the kiriko thing would be hard to implement really. He’s basically just saying that it could apply orisas fortify for that short duration plus an anti cleanse rather than what it currently does.

    Ana Sleep and Cass' Flash bang were the only CC I liked. With Genji or Tracer you could just juke the Cass' with some good movements or gamesense (by dropping while being stunned for example) so the new Grenade is super stupid. It just requires you to do ONE body shot to the target and it's dead lol

    Unhinged take: remove sojourn’s headshot multiplier from railgun. Instead give her railgun piercing damage. Let her railgun shoot through multiple targets and maybe even shields. Could probably end up being even more broken but sounds more interesting than just being a widow on crack.

    Work together to get the kill? No it's work together to further the objective. One shot heroes force teamwork and different strategies and the issue isn't their existence but the balance of some of them and that balance issue is often not the one shot itself but some associates movement or sustain ability

    6:31 you genuinely converted me. I wanted cass flash back for the longest time because the predator missile makes dps matchups less fun on both ends. I completely forgot that the reason they dropped so much CC is to make tanks feel better, and ironically I’ve been maining tank role since OW2 dropped.

    on the no CC but damage point at 4:05 , you can probably make it like fortify, where they cant be affected by CC but still take damage. instead of lowering incoming damage like fortify, it would just boost incoming healing

    Team based gameplay is really cool, but you need to be able to feel like you yourself are able to make a significant impact on what's happening to keep it fun. The problem with one shots is that you often don't, because there is rarely anything you or your teammates could have done to prevent you from dying to the random headshot their Sojourn just fired hence why it feels so unfun to play against. Feels very rewarding when your the one hitting them tho

    I think one thing that could be done to nerf Ramattras ult would be that past a certain duration (say for instance, 7 seconds) its radius starts shrinking, meaning you need to get more aggressive and chase down enemies.

    The funnest part of Kiriko’s kit for me is the suzu. Removing a key component from it (invulnerability/cleanse) will feel really bad. The ability is less than a second long and needs to be timed well to get value from. The only changes I can see Blizzard doing is reducing its area of effect, increasing its cooldown, and/or removing the heal it does.

    I feel that the Mccree grenade should only kill if you hit *two* shots,as in it will still hit hard but it won't be annoying because you won't be two tapped. As a trade off the grenade could either detonate faster or fly further,as in damage trade for better utility

    1.
    1-shots should be a team thing, just not a 5 or 6 person thing. So maybe 2 or 3 are needed to secure a kill instead of 1, and in that way I believe Widow isn't necessarily healthy for the game team-wise.
    2.
    Suzu would need to last much longer and/or be on a shorter cooldown if they gut its invulnerability. It may protect from burst damage, but the time window is so small it isn't fair to say that it "protects from Sojurn railgun" since most burst damage (outside of ults) is very hard/impossible to predict.
    3.
    Magnetic grenade can go fuck itself. 130 burst damage is too much for something that takes no skill to land, let alone homes in. Flashbang at least required him to be really close to fan the hammer after it, but that grenade has more range and guaranteed damage, and he can follow with a body shot from anywhere.
    Don't bring back flashbang but it needs to be reworked.

    The sojourn change I'm surprised nobody seems to be talking about. They should make it so she gets less rail gun charge from tanks. They specifically made the Tank role passive give less ult charge because of their larger hitboxes and their role requires them to absorb some damage. But for some reason, this logic doesn't carry over to sojourn's railgun making it way to easy to farm charge off the larger tanks.

    I think kiriko suzu can also being nerfed in the way that it doesnt cleanse bleed any more. I mean thats some how the thing of the suzu, but it makes JQ just a throw pick whenever there is a kiriko. And maybe bring back the bug, where her tp didnt get rid of an anti or bleed or discord effect, although discord will run out if she is behind a corner.

    I’ll be honest i think suzu would be fine on a longer cooldown because as it is it offer’s very readable and simple counterplay. Especially with ana,you can just toss an anti and it’s basically guaranteed to force it out. If it was on like a 25 second cooldown this window would be way more exaggerated and easy to capitalize on

    At 4:00 this guy had the same idea I had for sojourn, her secondary fire shouldn't be able to headshot and I was also thinking it should have a max damage of 100 so even with a mercy pocket it's only 130 at most. Also with kirikos suzu I think it should be the opposite to where it makes you invulnerable for like 1.25 seconds or something and just get rid of cleanse but if you time the suzu right you can stop stuff like Anas bio nade or junker queens ult. But if someone is already antied and you suzu them it will only make them invulnerable and when it wears off they'll still be anited or if you suzu a sleeping target it won't wake them up but they can't take damage for a certain period of time.

    The rein clip when I was first climbing I've seen reins like the first one who shielded all the way to point to get blown up and have the tank yell at everyone about doing their jobs. 100% is not overly dramatic. In fact the only unbelieve part is the tank did not start pinging I need healing when his shield broke.

    I feel like the only thing Ramatra needs is a slight cap on the max amount of time he can be in his ultimate, like after 15-20 seconds the ult goes away by default, the whole point of the ult is to create a huge scary area in the battle but theres no reason why it needs to last forever as no other ult that does the same thing last theoretically forever. And its still enough time for Ramatra to get huge value except now he cant just target one person for 10 seconds then SPRINT to another enemy and cycle. He needs to use his ult againt a packed team to get value which is the point of the ult in the first place.

    3:50 im guessing the guy in the video is talking about turning suzu into something similar to morgana shield from league of legends, for reference morgana shield is a shield that prevents 1 ally from all forms of cc (knock up, stun, sleep, slow, bind, blind, snare, knock back, etc) and has a, lets say, 500 magic shield that goes down after 5 seconds or when the shield is broken through, the hp of the shield goes up with levels into the ability and another stat thats irrelevant for this comparison. also morgana is one of leagues oldest champions so changing suzu to allow heores to still take damage and be immune to cc shouldnt be too terribly hard but if no one knows how exactly to do thats then thats fairly understandable as to how long that could take to code. point is its not impossible to code suzu to have damage reduction and cc immunity, it just might be difficult to keep that coding in line/consistent/balanced.

    I half agree with Flat's take on Ramattra. I do believe that its quite easy to disengage and some sort of counterplay to his ult. The problem is the way its being abused. Just like bastion, all you got to do is bunker up and let it do its thing. It does not need a rework, but I definitely think the range could get a bit smaller and the timer can fall significantly. If you have never seen the range of his ult, try using replay mode or play pharah and see how much he just covers every single point on capture points. It basically bleeds out of the point. His whole kit is insanley fun to play with, and honestly just an amazing hero even out the gate on release. Pretty much as people got the hang of it, discord and this ult really are two things that are broken (besides sojourn and mercy), and then they tend to abuse it. It takes time, but once something is abused youll see why everyone complains.

    one thought with suzu, is make the invulnerability last just a couple moments so you dont have to rework how the cleanse works, and its still a good cleanse, but lower the invincibility afterward.

    The only issue with giving cass a halo or cod style frag grenade I think is the possibility blizzard might have already tried to give some hero a fps frag grenade and didn’t like the results.

    It's POSSIBLE to have a fun team-based games and also have one-shots (look at R6:Siege where if someone knows where you are, you're dead, but it's fun) but in Overwatch's open maps you almost always know exactly where 4 of the 5 players on the enemy team are, which means aiming is the only factor that matters to get a one-shot, which is boring.

    For Ramattra ult I think instead of tweaking the stall potential they should rework it to be an all out offensive tool. Give him a flat 15 second timer, higher damage and speed than normal nemesis form and maybe give him a 25% damage reduction while taking away the tick damage. Right now the best use for it is to sit in the middle of an overtime team fight and farm tick damage while your supports keep you alive which is both unfun to play against and unfun to play.

    There are shitton of successful TEAM shooters out there and almost all of them have a certain conception of a CLUTCH that is beyond players that tend to cover their own impact on the game (or the lack of it) behind a TEAMWORK.
    That's how every OW2 fight's gonna look like soon:
    - engaging 5 v 5
    - a teammate goes out of position and die
    - everyone falls back to regroup, cuz no damage to repick out of 4 v 5 (everything nerfed to the ground)
    - wait
    - wait
    - wait
    - another try 5 v 5
    - lost one player again
    - regroup
    - wait
    - wait
    - so on...
    No dynamics, no risks encouraged, no endorfines, no fun, no anticipation, no table flips, no comebacks.
    No idividual impact, just gangin on a a single target and if it fails - blame each other. Evokes all the worst in people.
    No one wants to go forward and take some resposibility or initiative, because no one wants to be that "died first" guy.
    Reminds me of those dogs that bark at each other when there is a fence between them and become totally friendly if the fence removed.
    Just a slow paced pillow fight, with a damage low enough, so you would have a time to type some insults during a fight. No kidding, I already saw that many times: like Orisa (which is totally balanced tank, not like that Hog menace) pressed fortification while fighting Hog 1 v 1 and just started to type insults on him in chat. And then won this 1 v 1.

      This is how I took it. Similar to mercy, who i wont say is or isnt too strong "on her own", but shes undeniably propped up right now due to her synergy with sojourn. I think the guy was saying something very similar with Ram- In that rams spot in the meta will probably be influenced by the states of other heroes, more than hell directly influence the meta himself.
