"I'm not selling anything..." to selling a $15 product. Dude, either sell it for a few hundred dollars or don't sell it all at. Good vid, just annoying.
If you use the bubbling at the end strategy make sure you are paying attention to the time. I had a proctor who once forgot to call out 5 minutes remaining on the math and somebody in my room didn’t bubble anything in.
Omg, that's terrible!! The worst experience I had with a teacher forgetting to call 5 minutes is that I missed a few questions on Reading. But I can't imagine leaving EVERYTHING blank...😭
I had the same experience with the math section. I realized that I was running out of time and I was only able to bubble in the answers with 1 minute left. I only got 12 answers filled in.
when i took the act, i ran out of time on the reading section, which i was really mad about. i ended up scoring a 28, and while that isn't great for my dreams of going to princeton, it wasn't as bad as it could've been. the same thing happened with the writing portion, but even with two underdeveloped body paragraphs, a confusing message, and a half-assed conclusion, i scored the national average (6 out of 12). so just believe that you can do this and i promise it won't be as bad as you think!
I love this video so much! I've gone through SO many ACT/SAT videos, and this one was one of the most helpful! I'm taking the ACT on December 10th! Hopefully I can raise my score to a 29!!
Hmm, it seems like the ACT has previously used answer choices ABCDE and FGHJK for alternating questions. This is why I pointed towards E and K. If the section does not have E/K and instead has four answer choices, please guess with the LAST letter, i.e. ABCD & EFGH => guess D & H. Hope this is helpful.
he was talking about the math portion and that's the one that has 5 answer choices for each problem, dunno if you care anymore but feel like this could help some person going through the comments section :/
I’d say that I do well on most of the sections but math has always been my weakest section by far. Last time I managed to get a 34 on the English section, 32 on reading, and 31 on science, but a 25 on math. I still got a 31 composite score which is not bad but I’m looking to improve my 25.
I always feel like i'm ace-ing like 90% of the test and then a few questions im unsure of and the math some are give or take, but then I get a very low score like 25,26,27.
I'm re taking the ACT for college because I really didn't put effort into the original ACT in high school I hope I do good my test date is due in 11 days wish me luck.
I did not take the ACT in high school because I thought that I didn't want to go to college and now here I am at age 20 about to go to college and about to take my ACT after 2 years of not studying math. 😬
great vid! but quick question, what if you aren't as strong on the natural science part but the rest is really easy, should i do the hard one first or leave it for last on the reading passages?
Natural Science passages are the hardest ones imo because I usually go for the passages that have a lot of pointing out lines or paragraphs for you. Natural Science passages have the least amount of these and sometimes are hard because the information in them is sort of overwhelming and you get distracted from what you're actually there to do. But you can do this! I heard that it's a good idea to do the passage that looks the most interesting/easy to you first and do the hardest or dual passages last.
Hi! Firstly thank you for posting this, these are amazing tips. So, I need some advice😢 I live in a country outside America. Since I was a kid, I was in my country's national education system - besides that system there are a few schools in where I live that have ACT. So I recently decided to transfer from my national education system to ACT. So I am really new to everything.. I started taking courses around 1 and half month ago in both English and Science - I am almost finished with both and I am going to start answering exams- .. But I haven't started Math yet because I can't find a teacher. I am going to take the ACT exam in December and I feel like I am soooo late in Math, and even if I started now I feel like I won't be able to finish Math. I am extremely nervous and I don't know what to do😢. It's my first time taking this system and I feel totally lost. I don't know what to do😢😢 please help.
Ok so I thought you were allowed to write on the book in certain sections, so how do I keep track so I can bubble at the end? Great video btw, thanks for sharing!!
You really just need to increase your reading speed. Skimming through passages can work, however, there is a decent chance you will miss details and it's not a technique that will help you get a perfect score. To increase reading speed you need to read more passages. Do more practice tests under the time constraints. Focus on the sections you struggle with.
the answers are distributed differently than you might expect. According to some research people have done, answering E/K has a higher probability of being right. Also, if you run out of time, guess in a straight line to maximize your chances of getting it right.
