Are u in bedrock or java, build it another time, see if you're in the new version, you have to be 150 blocks away from a village, add beds and villagers and the work station, if all else fails, then do a different farm
I build the previous version of this farm (without trading room) in an ocean and the iron golems often spawn underwater. Is there a way to prevent this except for building it on land?
For my future reference Build in dry biome 5x5x9 hole 1wide 3deep rim Place 20 beds Fill gap Cover them Expand by 3 blocks Make chamber for villagers Put hopper for collection Cover hole Make kill chamber
Every farm I’ve made before had a villager with direct eyesight of the beds and haven’t had an issue but this one I did and I broke the floor so middle villager can see bed then replaced it and farm starting working again for a permanent fix u would need to lock all villagers with one that can see the beds. Or just break floor every once in awhile
for the fence post moss carpet exit i instead used two trap doors, flip the bottom for babies, once all adults the bottom can be removed. you can walk under a trapdoor they cannot. to get between the two simply crouch walk
I have made one right now to see if it works and yeah you just need to break every bed at the village and then you do the farm, but the farm is very slow
Farm works great! Only issue I have with it is every so often the iron golems will end up spawning outside the kill chamber making afk not work as well. Does anyone have a solution for this?
I'm not sure if it's the location I have for this farm but the golems keep spawning outside of the farm and either falling into water or spawning under water. Not sure what is going on but do you need to spawn proof the area outside of the farm? Every other farm I've seen on bedrock you have to spawn proof a large area outside of the farm.
If you're not building it in a flat open area like this, then you might need to make sure there's no spawnable block within 8 blocks horizontally and 6 blocks vertically of the beds. It works as designed in a flat area as the only golem spawnable blocks are contained within the farm, since the rest are more than 6 blocks above the beds. If they are still spawning outside the farm, double check there's no other beds in the area as it may be shifting the middle of your village.
@@spiritedsamphthanks for this clarification! I buolt mine on a bit of a hill and the golems kept spawning outside the kill chamber. I'll flatten the surroundings!

Fun fact. I for the life of me can't find an iron farm build that this stupid ass Nintendo switch will actually let me do. I've tried several different ones and I always get to a point we're I can't do something, like make the hopper go into the bottom chest, (mine just goes down into ground, or place a hopper above the top chest (it just opens the chest instead of letting me place it above it) damn and this switch is so freaking slow and glitchy. Needless to say I have me a ASUS Tuf A15 gaming laptop on the way im sick of trying to do all this stuff on a switch that Minecraft wasn't even designed to run on. 😅
You need to crouch to place hoppers on top of chests. Crouch, then aim your crosshair on top of the chest (or anywhere on the chest where you want it to go into), and then place it. I'm playing it on switch. It's glitch infested, but hoppers work fine.
