I was doing some research on this helicopter and to my surprise, the movie helicopter and the accident helicopter appear to be two different helicopters! From my research, the movie helicopter was deregistered in December of 2000 and the registry was reused on another A109A (likely to capitalize on the fame of the movie). Corroborating this is the different Manufacturer’s Serial Number (MSN). The crash helicopter had the MSN of 7166, while the movie helicopter was 7133. What is the current registry of the movie helicopter, or if it even still exists or has been scrapped is a mystery to me. Additional info: as of May of this year, the registry N293G has been reserved by someone in Orlando, Florida. There doesn’t appear to be an aircraft associated with it yet, but it would be cool if it was a replica of the film helicopter. Or heck, maybe someone even found the original and is re-registering it in the old registry. That would be cool!
Rip n293g, you will be missed by both aviation fans and jurassic park fans

Proof that not everyone can be a voiceover narrator.
Evidently well-researched, and informative for fans of the movie and of cinema aircraft in general. Substance is more valuable.
