he freaking needed a powerup since the 1st time we have seen a supersayajin. Thats the reason krillin had to retire such as some other characters. Piccolo for one thats always present when trouble comes up should always have a reasonable high enough strength to be able to helpout. when his laser was that "weak" to an opponent that he could just parry it. Piccolos nature would make him train harder. That is not even the only reason. He always wanted to keep up with songoku as well. I love the transformation. It suits him unlike the blue hair for the ssj god tranformation.
merging is unpopular among the characters. Trunks and Son Goten such as Vegeta and Son Goku can fuse but they prefer not to do so because of their fighters pride. I dont remember if the merging of Namekians is permanent? Piccolo fused on Namek before with a Namekian and i remember that it was permanent. Also after a merge the personality of the dominating Namekian would be affected bey the weakers one. Altough i enjoy seeing Piccolo powering up. I think that there should have been other transformation steps in between. Piccolo can suddenly transform and increase his powerlevel by x100? Also he achieved equal power as god ssj's by simply powering up while they had to undergo a ceremony with 5 others in the process. So it would be good to see a background story of how piccolo accomplished the tranformation and what was required for it

@@mokuzudo Orange Piccolo is an amazing form. It isn't just Piccolo turning a different color like other forms. He's changing in pretty much every aspect. He becomes Orange, His muscle patterns on his arms change, he is able to tank almost any attack, his facial features change, and he has a sick aura. I'm not trying to start an argument but your opinion is really bad if you think a few marks and sparkles is better than his new look.

Toriyama confirmed that the level of power as Orange Piccolo is even with Goku and Vegeta now, same with Gohan's new Beast form.

I had to hold back tears. All I have ever wanted to see was all of goku and vegetas friends get the power boost they deserve and to see all new and old friends fight together as the ultimate warriors of the DB universe. instead of just seeing them just sit on the sidelines.
