Man, this was sad. When I was little my mom married a guy from Charleston (we were from a tiny town at the bottom of the state). I remember him taking me to this mall for the first time around 2001. I’d never even seen an escalator in real life and I was in love with this place. It felt like the big time city life and every single storefront was occupied and there were people EVERYWHERE. I am so sad to see it nearly deserted.
Makes me sad to see. I used to love shopping in this mall. As I got older, I had a few jobs here (Pac Sun and Hollister). One time I even took a dump on the top floor of the parking garage. It's hardly recognizable now. These days I live in New York and hope to return someday.
Sad to see.... it was super live in 1999b.c. when I first moved to WV then it slowly started to fall off thru the years for whatever reasons.... then covid. I've since moved back to FL but I still got my blue and gold WVU fitted hat from Lids courtesy of Town Center Mall..
Pretty much sums up Charleston with everything that has closed over the past year or two. Won't be long till all that is left is the State Capitol and the CAMC hospitals.
I think thats the absolute ugliest flooring I've ever seen! I don't like the glass railings, either. That mall is unrecognizable from when I last shopped there 25 years ago. I can see why nobody shops there anymore.
Thanks a lot Amazon.
😥
What happened to all the stores that were in there that way since 2015. I used to love going to them all the time.

That is painful. I remember when the food court still had an arcade and a place that sold individual cigarettes for 25¢

So sad to see such a beautiful mall empty.
It won't be empty long. It is coming down to make way for a sports complex.
