My first copart pick up with a trailer
This upload i go and pick up a car from copart salvage auction with a trailer and when i get back to the lock up i show you what car i got and have alook around it .
The strip down starts tomorrow

Thats the sort to buy nice easy fix,have that finised buy lunch time and that includes the service and valet,will be able to carry on painting after lunch.Keep them coming.Will probably take longer to collect than fix.

Thats a nice buy, should be a quick easy flip. I would get a recovery truck instead of a ranger as if you ended up getting something with suspension damage you might have a problem getting it off the trailer which would be costly for a trailer which has been rented. A recovery truck would be more practical and the car could be left on the back till you could get it mobile. Just a thought 🤔
Thanks mate for the info but i just think a car like a ranger can be used a lot more like picking up parts driving the family around collecting cars driving to the lock up and home a recovery truck is just a recovery truck see what i mean

Wheel nuts are standard Ford 19mm, the "cover" is part of the nut and usually come off as they're taken off and you end up using an 18mm socket to get them off

@@ResurwreckAutosUK That would be a massive asset if your doing 2 or 3 cars a month Mark I feel a recovery truck is expensive if it aint working every day
@@richardmounfield7822 I do agree a recovery truck is just that a ford ranger i can pick up parts collect cars drive to the lock up drive home take the family out in it see what i mean

Could be stainless steel cups on wheel studs there may be a little plastic remover in the boot with a pull out stud to take cups off

Hey mate, do continue to work on the econoboxes as everyone else are doing the fancy ones, which imho may not be applicable to most of us. Just my thoughts as feel the cheap ones are easy sell😀👌👍✌

Don’t scratch it remember happy wife happy life 😂. Don’t listen to people telling you how to do it I have done a bit of buying and selling in the past and I have always found that Vauxhall’s fords and anything Volkswagen sell real easy also small to medium cars like corsas and Astra’s are what i found best anyway good luck with it all.

I personally would get a recovery truck advertise 24/7 accident damage pick up take them to your yard and charge the insurance companies storage and recovery my mate charged £250 to recover my fiesta and the other side paid no problem plus he got £35 a day storage for 10 days usually the insurance charge 10% of the payout as an option to buy the car back so you could either give customers a small bung or barter the storage fee for the car another trick my mate has done. When I bought my fiesta back it was £280 but when fixed it went out the door at £2850

He started like you but fixed other peoples cars about a month in he got a recovery truck eventually he shut the garage and basically does what he wants in there now he has a guy in there full time but he works basically on stuff for my mate either fixing stuff to sell or breaking stuff for my mate to sell parts 1 truck turned into 3 transit size recovery trucks and a 7.5 tonner they buy any car for cash same day now and do recovery work mainly but yeah he has done well in the 4 years he has been running it

Love your videos I’m slowly starting to do this my self part time and wondering what is the towing capacity of that Range Rover ?? I have a golf gtd that can tow 1650kg and don’t know whether I will be able to tow a car on a trailer or maybe pull a car on an A frame ? Keep the good work up mate

Resurwreck Autos UK check on Copart as I’m sure the new rules mean trailer only and all 4 wheels must be off the ground, on the law point of view, you cannot pull it as it won’t be road worthy or insured. Just make sure before you even look at a dolly.
Which Copart was it mate all looked pretty straight forward picking it up

Some of these motors, I can’t understand why they were written off. Fairly light front end damage, which shouldn’t be too expensive. Anyway, it’s a good one for you.

You should do ok with that mate 👍🏼 Just an idea, but if you are thinking of getting a Ranger, have you thought about getting a salvage vehicle, it will get you a good towing vehicle, save you money, and bring some good content to your channel, there’s a S/R 2016 at Sandtoft right now 👍🏼👍🏼

No mate, not L200, there’s a Ford Ranger stolen recovered at Sandtoft, 2016, Black, think it’s at 1900 quid at the moment, but obviously it’s gonna go higher, not sure how much you wanna spend or what year, but worth keeping an eye on
Ford ranger towing a large trailer with vehicle on will put it over 3.5tonnes so you would need to have a tachograph you may need to look into it

Probably pretty unlikely that even with a big trailer you'd go over the limit with a proper tow vehicle. I'd be more worried using an Evoque to tow that big trailer with a car on it, I believe their tow capacity, depending on model, is 1500-2000 kg. Kerb weight of the Fiesta is about 1100 and I know my Ifor Williams dual axle trailer weighs 1000 so you were probably over which was why you felt it. 😂

Do you have an issues with log books? What is the turn around for you ? I’ve been waiting over 2 months for 2 log books , I know covid has put delays on things but I’ve sent off via post office taxed cars but no log books. Also cannot go wrong with a fiesta and it makes the profit even if it gets boring.. every car is different even if it’s the same make.
Everyday Salvage Hi mate I don’t get the logbooks in my name I use a v62 foam and take to the post office if you get the logbook in your name it just adds another keeper on the logbook so I sell the cars without learnt my lesson Applying for logbooks takes too long google it mate it’s all aboveboard v62 👍

Everyday Salvage no mate I Used to do that so I fix the car up sell it get a Buyer for it we agrees price I send the buyer down the post office with the v62 foam in there name and they tax the car at the same time come back insure it and drive it away much easier then waiting for the logbook I spoke to DVLA about 3 mouths ago when the country was in lockdown and told me to do it this way and it’s worked Ever since hope this helps you that black fiesta will be fixed and sold within 2 weeks on to the next 👍
Resurwreck Autos UK ok I get you, I did think of this before my only issue was, I wanted to drive the car for a bit before selling but cannot insure it unless it’s registered to me or I have a traders policy which is anything from £1500 to 2000 a year.

Might be worth looking at love 500’s you tube channel, he uses a guy who is very reasonable for picking up cars? It would save you the expensive of buying a new truck/trailer.
Tax isn’t transferred to new owners. So will need to SORN it or tax it when you get the V5.

And I'm sure you will need to get it remot'ed due accident damage as per sva test
