- The 49ers top officials said they expected or hoped Brandon Aiyuk would practice on Wednesday. He did not, and you could sense that general manager John Lynch and coach Kyle Shanahan are running out of patience. It appears likely they will pursue some kind of discipline, as Aiyuk remains a "hold in" while remaining under contract to the team.

We all agree BA and Trent deserve to be fairly compensated for their abilities and success but they are starting to wear out the fans and FO goodwill and grace.
Who gives a flying fuk, CMC had 2 years left on his deal, sat out of mandatory minicamp, and then got a new deal, you dont want players to hold out and ask for more money? Dont let CMC set the precedent.
Only thing I'll say is that the FO created this situation. They repeatedly waited to get numerous big name players' extensions done over the years, including Bosa on Sept. 6th laat year. The agents and players have stood firm and everytime the team caved in the 11th hour. So it's no surprise that BA has not budged. The FO also folded when CMC wanted a new deal with new guaranteed money, even though he had 2 years left on his is contract. Now Trent is pulling the same shakedown with 3 years left on his deal because he no longer has any guarantee to bw paid out. The team has shown a history of rolling over and now they want to play hardball in the 11th with not much leverage. If they fine BA now his fines won't even equal half a million by the Jets game and Trent can always threaten retirement since he has earned over $100M in his career.

beginning of the end for the niners if they play this wrong... damn greedy players... sign aiyuk, and you might as well kiss hufanga goodbye next year.. and charvarius ward soon after... because not long after they'll have to have the bank to resign purdy.
at this point, best case scenario, you keep aiuyuk for the year, getting him to finish his contract (or trade him and get something decent).. you get trent to play another year, but hope he retires the next, so you have his 30mil to resign quality younger players.

Exactly! Niners should make a final offer to Aiyuk that he either plays the last year of his current contract, he accepts whatever the Niners are offering for a long-term deal, or he accepts whatever trade the Niners work for him. He has a contract, and he needs to honor it. If he wants an extension now, he needs to give something to get something. He can be replaced, and if he is going to be disgruntled, he should be replaced.

Thank Mr. Maiocco. Not losing sleep over this, the only thing that is good about this situation is that Brandon showed his Diva mentality real early, so it gave us fans time to get sick of him enough to be kewl with not seeing him on the field.

I believe Niners can win with or without them… Defense is top 5 still and still have CMC, best offensive player in the game, top 3 TE in Kittle, top 10 most dynamic player in Deebo and exciting young players to see develop in Pearsall, Cowing, Mason, and Guerendo. Even on defense with Winters, Malik, Brown, and Green… And we have a quarterback we all believe in! So bang bang niner gang!

This is the year for the 49ers to make a run for the SB . Next year Purdy will get a big contract that will make it difficult to keep all their supporting key players - Some have taken less money to remain with the team - I just think Brandon and Williams , in terms of team cohesion , picked the worse time to hold out. Brandon’s way has been whack-o wanting a trade and getting one - stupid game playing and Williams coming in last moment “PAID- PAID” . Brandon is at the point in his career to get a new contract, and Willians deservedly should get top pay as the best LG in the league but the way this has gone on is not good for the Team and its cohesion for 2024.

BA doesn’t get it - Niners have to pay Purdy next year. There is only so much $$ in the pot - they will never choose a #2 WR over their franchise QB. Miscalculation on his part. The problems started when the FO accepted to pay CMC more money not being in the last year of his contract. I’m pretty sure that ticked off trent. For BA he looks like a diva right now. I say damage control : dont fine and pay trent a little more and decide to tag and trade BA next year. Fine him big time if he doesnt show up…

Brandon Aiyuk can get his contract demands met by agreeing to be traded to another team but he doesn't want to go to that team. He wants to stay with the 49ers who are offering less guaranteed money and won't match the other team's offer.
He hasn’t shot done Pittsburgh’s offer. Time to take it.
Looking forward to the day BA is gone. Fine him irreversibly, tell the media that BA claims he wants money, but is deciding to take fines and waste time in his prime while he refuses to honor his contract and that's that. If he wants to earn money and fulfill his contract, he can choise to do so, but until then, hes not welcome around the team - he knows that and if he shows up he's chosing to be a distraction and negatively impact the team which we don't want him to do.
FO office is soft and embarrassing. Call it how it is, have a backbone and admit their massive failure this off-season. as a fan, i find our FO a bit more incompetent each day.

The NFL SERIOUSLY needs to start thinking about capping players salaries. It's becoming intolerable for the fans to deal with this crap anymore. Truthfully it's going to get to the point where the everyday working guy can't afford to go to games anymore.

In a system where Aiyuk is really the only WR that can run the entire route tree at an elite level. It is VERY important. Once defense shut the run down and Deebo screens. We would have no offense without BA
