Just ordered my side panels today. Cannot wait to get them in and installed!
Great vid Bryan and for the great find!
On the bags...once you have side or top bags you tend to find stuff to fill them up. I get slightly paranoid if I do not have one or the other with me.
My left bag is strictly for emergency road equipment. Small socket set, portable air compressor, tire repair kit, rain gear, cargo nets and bungee cords, spare gloves.
My right side case is kept free in case I need to pick up groceries, etc.
My top case is used to store my helmet and tank bag.

I have a 2009 FJR1300 and would love to have the Dark Gray Metallic side covers to match the bike. I can only find the silver #3.

OK, so I can't find where you got the red side covers. Can someone tell me where to find them?

Great video. I prefer the looks of the FJR with the bags on, plus their so handy to be able to have a rain suit just in case, or to pick something up at the store. I also use a Cortech lock ring tank bag. It doesn't touch the tank and its just big enough for emptying my pockets.

Thanks for the video. I have a 2013 FJR with a V Steam medium wind screen. I also installed a MCL triple tree. That was for my shorter arms so I can reach more comfortably. You are killing me. I need those seats. Can you give me more information about the seats and where you got them and need more information about the sinking tool for the fuel injection. I want to spend money on that tool. I don't feel like paying the dealer money to do work that I can do. Bought the bike for $12900 out the door. Had a 2010 Victory Cross Country before that I had a 2007 FJR but sold it for the cruise control function. Now I have a cruise control and love the bike. Thank you for all the information you have given me. Or that you have bestowed on us FJR riders. I did install a rack from Gary Crowley with passenger backrest but I'm interested in that trunk you use for passenger use. Wife likes to ride once in awhile I need her happy so I can keep the upgrades coming.. Thanks a lot

just a thought but might be a good idea to invest in some T-handle allen wrenches.
makes it easier to spin the bolts in and out. thanks for the videos

Looking fantastic! As you know manufacturers make profits from spares (I wouldn't like to buy a bike in bits!) rather like printers being cheap but ink being the price of a gold bar! I agree about the silver tank surround looking so much better with the red side panels.

Yes, I agree, good taste, the bike looks much nicer with the red panels.
By the way you have not talked about the FJR price. I bought a new 2009 FJR with electric shift for 14 k out the door, but I always felt that I paid too much, what do you think ?

It looks so much better with the red sides. I am looking to maybe buy a FJR her in Switzerland. Our colour choices for 2016 are Graphite grey or matt silver. I saw a dark blue in a US video whichI loved but it is not available here. I like the matt silver but as it will be a every day bike and not a garage queen, I am very scared of how it will age. I've seen matt maints start to be polished just buy the legs rubbing the tank.

I did not see any parts numbers at the end of the video. I found the parts on Parts shark but it does not say what color they are.

TwoWheelObsession Hey, Great video, I usually keep my bags on my motorcycle. I will probably do a video soon that will show how to take them off, but I do like the bags on my motorcycle for now.
