No tighter, fuller sounding, musically synchronous band has ever grace a stage. For over 40 years these all-time greats never failed to delivery. The juxtaposition of these two songs, old and new demonstrate the band's capacity to evolve to near musical perfection. Caravan is a bloody tour de force! We will never see their like again.
During the tour for the Clockwork Angels release, they actually had a string ensemble touring with them. So, some of the different sounds you were hearing during Caravan would be the strings, such as the Cello, and the Violin.
Rory! Rush and Rory were really close. Rush opened for Rory in the early days, and they repaid that (I think) in the 80s. Worth listening to Alex talk about Rory, so sweet. Just discovered your channel, and loving these Rush reactions man! 🤘🏻
"Caravan" was played during their "Time Machine" tour. It was especially a treat because that one and "BU2B" were two new songs for their upcoming album ("Clockwork Angels"). The two songs were released ahead of time. That final album was a wonderful closing album on a long and amazing career.
You mentioned Rory Gallagher. You can tell your Mom that Alex Lifeson has cited Gallagher as an important musical and professional influence on his own work. They were also friends, having first met when Rush opened for Gallagher on tour in 1974. Eight years later, Rush chose Gallagher to open for them for their Signals tour in 1982.
🤣 Don't know why 'Sausage Time' made me laugh hard...... 🤗 But it did! We were all stunned in concert when they brought this "out of the vault" on this Tour. 🤔 Seemed starting about 2000 they started doing a lot of old fan favorites they hadn't performed in about a decade or two. Cool to have a Career long enough to do oldies from 20 yrs ago for new fans. 😒 Those fans be peoples Grand babies at this point! 😉 By the 2000 Tours we were 3 generations in! By the Time Machine Tour 1 row in the audience could be 3 or 4 generations of people. It pissed off folks who couldn't buy 9 or 10 tickets for them, their kids, grand kids & great grand kids. It was not uncommon to switch seats with folks asking so a family of 5 could sit together since the limit to buy them was 4. 🥰🐰
Alex's guitar sounded great in this.
Great reaction. Love between the wheels. Liked your story
Thank u

That's pretty cool love when bands add other instruments to their sound gives it a uniqueness

Between the Wheels is the best song on Grace Under Pressure, fact
🏆🏆🏆🏆!!!
🤔 If I remember there was also written BIG TIME, ALL THE TIME, OUT OF TIME among other TIME related phrases! 🥰🐰
Such good songs...but aren't they all? Love Neil Peart!!!
Does anybody actually think Eric Clapton is better guitar player than Alex Lifeson?😂
Alex blows his ass away and also is not a racist like Clapton is.
