It's remarkable how dedicated you are, even as this is just your hobby, yet ready to laugh, kind, easy going and happy with whatever life throws at you. We all enjoy your surprise and happiness at your lucky finds.
I used to get discouraged finding pull tabs until I realized that that particular spot had not had a coil over it by someone hunting for gold. Now it excites me when I find them.
These days, so many people are getting into the hobby. Competition with other metal detectorists is very common, especially at the tourist beaches. I find that I do better when I look for low, washed out areas that produce older targets rather than counting on fresh drops from the previous couple of days that hopefully haven't been picked over by other detectorists
WE have had in the last two years in Western Autralia a number of Great White attack than we ever had before with deaths involved and a young girl was mulled to death last year by a bull shark and she was only knee deep in the water.
Visiting my nephew at Ft Myers. We kept feeling something brushing our legs under water. He said it was seaweed. Then we realized we were surrounded by mating stingrays. I had to carry my family to shore one at a time. Nephew was 300+ pounds. I told him to run.
Do the other hunters try to find the owners, or do they keep,or sell their finds? I have watched some of the others, some are a bit grumpy. But I watch you the most. Keep up the good work.
I wonder if the buzzing of your metal detector attracts or detracts sharks? Whales? Dolphins? Fish with gold teeth? Any fish? Not a bad day. Survived the sharks, you’re 85 cents in the black, found a ring… not a bad day. Love your videos, brother. Keep ‘em coming.👍
The detector doesn't really attract anything, but digging attracts sheepshead a lot. I usually have them swim into the holes that I dig to find all of the little critters that I exposed
We get a lot of black tip, nurse, bull, hammerhead, bonnethead... I'm sure there's a lot that I'm missing. There's a great variety. They're rarely aggressive towards people. It's not a concern while I'm out there
Oh stop it lol.sharks in oz are no more aggressive than anywhere else I've lived by the water my whole life had run ins with all sizes and breeds everything but bulls keeps their distance
Sure was hoping that water would clear up. Ain't no way I'd be staying in that murky water with sharks around. Can I have your detector after they eat you??
This podcast is 11 months ago... I'm very happy that you didn't provide a shark snack....🤓🕊️🙏☝️😩 You still don't have the record of pull tabs.... That honor goes to me 🤓..... And a Tuba to cheer you up.😑
Your talking about sharks right as you raised your scoop and I jumped
Lol yup same here and the shape and color of it didn't help😂😂

I enjoy what I do SO much. I couldn't ever be not happy to be out there :)
The tuba guy was brilliant. I guessing his practicing doesn’t go down well with neighbours so the beach is perfect 😄
haha! I see him almost every time I go there!

My flight leaves for our Florida condo in two hours. Hopefully I can do some detecting this coming week around Sarasota if red tide isn't too bad.
You’ll probably run into me!
That's definitely detication with all the sharks!!! Stay safe!
Haha, they were mainly just babies! But they were ALL over!
@@DetectFlorida ya but where's mom shark..lol
Haha! I'm sure she was out there! That water was so murky. There could have been hundreds of them out there, and I'd have no idea!
@@DetectFlorida so brave! I'm going detecting at Panama beach next month and probably will be in the water too..lol 😂
@@michellebordage3614 they're always there! You just don't always see them! Good luck!

He's always there!! haha
Right on :)
Any idea who hunts "Fred Howard" park?! Thought my nox 800 was broken; too quiet. Nothing in the wet, three silver targets in the dry.
HOW ARE YOU SO CALM
Watet was clear compared to Nebraska!
Are you in the town of Fort Myers Beach, or at the beach in Ft Myers?
I was on Fort Myers beach for this video
@@DetectFlorida Thanks. I'll be heading down there for Columbus Day weekend (North end of the island). Hopefully you left some goodies for me :)
@@pryan67 Good luck!!!
Goodmorning
Good morning Gary!
Looks like swamp water
That’s Fort Myers for ya. I don’t know why, but the water is rarely clear there
What type of sharks because here in Ausie land you would lose a leg if you were in the water with sharks here.

That great because we get Great White Sharks, Tiger Sharks and Bull Nose Sharks and they are all known to attack.@@DetectFlorida
