80s music was my teenage years and I wish and hope one day you'll young folks not only listen to 80s music but try to reinvigorate that journal of music
"It's Gonna Take A Miracle" by Nicey Williams was played quite often when it was released in 1976. When you're listening to beautiful music you can't help but to show it, Empress. And the manner in which you express your joy is 'priceless'. Keep up your video excellence, Empress.
Empress was so shook by Niecy's ad-libs that she knocked the camera off center 🙌 One of my favorite R&B songs of all time. I'll listen to this one along with Dionne's Walk on By when I want to bring out some feels but not full-on ugly cry 🔥
Tony...we gotta get Empress starting on a singing career...she auditioned for The Voice! My sister had the voice of Karen Carpenter and becuz she lacked self confidence with our shitty childhood...she just couldn't go all out and then she died at 38.
This song was initially intended for Little Anthony and the imperials (why do fools fall in love), but ended up being recorded by the female RnB group The Royalettes in the 60’s. There were a couple of notable covers, but Neicy’s cover was the most successful version of the song ever recorded. When talking about some of the trials she faced in the industry, Patti Labelle, said she was dismayed that the same year Labelle released their debut album, they were relegated to singing background on Laura Nyro’s covers album “It’s gonna take a miracle.” When recording, Patti, thought it was going to be a duet or feature and given that the group had already established itself in the industry, they expected nothing less. She said Laura Nyro was incredibly gracious and kind but Patti hated that Labelle’s management didn’t ensure that they got the billing they deserved. The Laura Nyro/Labelle version of this song did not chart but it was critically acclaimed. Neicy had two number one hits “Let’s hear it for the boy” and “Too much, too little, too late” with Johnny Mathis. In the 80’s there was an incredibly popular TV show with Michael J Fox called Family Ties. The very catchy theme song “Without Us” was sung by Neicy and Johnny Mathis. Most people don’t realize it’s also a full version song and not just short theme music. It’s worth a listen for historic and nostalgia purposes. One of my all time favorite reactions from you, Empress, is “Free” by Neicy. You always seem to forget that song when recounting the Neicy songs you like or reacted to. 😮
She married I guy new from football in high school. I'm not religious, but I went to their church once just to hear her sing up close. She is better than you can even imagine. An angel.
🔥Empreeeeess! Deniece is the truth! 🙌🏾 Tens across the board! ❤ You got the Niecy fever! We felt just like you're feeling right now! 😂😂 You bumping the camera and everything! 😅😅 Tfs!

The original by The Royalettes was great, but this is one of the rare times that a cover destroyed the original. Sweet Niecy. Try her doing "Too Much, Too Little, Too Late" with the great Johnny Mathis.
Hi dear Empress I see that you've disappeared on these last days. How are you? And the baby? Is It everything ok? I Hope to see you back very soon. A great hug to you and a kiss to the beautiful Little Empress 🤗😘🤗😘
She was banned on RUclips for seven days because of her second video reaction for the Sex Book Madonna. She made a video for the reason why she wasn't in RUclips in her Patreon page.
@@WCD199317 Hello Will oh no!! That's absurd. Its the first time I hear such a thing. But what was the matter? A copyright matter maybe? I'm sorry about this. @@EmpressReacts Hi dear Empress! Thank you so much for your reply. I was getting seriously concerned about you. Anyway I'm really glad that you're great as always. That's the most important thing. Denise Williams voice is almost too good. It can only be paired with sweet squeaky clean compositions. Let's hear it for the boy from footloose was about as racey as she could get.
This song was first done by The Royalettes in 1965... The video of them singing it is here on RUclips.

One of my favorite songs of hers! Love this one! Also her duet with Johnny Mathis “Too much too little too late” is a must listen!
Noted
You are correct about 60s vibe - first came out in 1965, but this version was a much bigger hit and came out in 1982

@Tiziano Torcasio so it .me reacting to Madonna's book🤕. Bad girl Madonma got me in .trouble 😂
Madonna's first album reviews would often compare her to Denise Williams.
😂that so crazy to consider now, but hearing a song like Borderline I can see how that comparison from a pitch / sound perspective was made
@@EmpressReacts yes, after Virgin those comparisons ended. Teena Marie was also a big one they compared her to (pre-virgin)
You 2 related? You fell into her groove pretty precisely.
🤣not that I know of
