My story is very simple. Walking in the dark through the Jameos del Agua I saw a very tall man who tripped over one of the traps that they usually set in those places so that you don't stray from the path. That man was you and that night, with Anouar Brahem and Klaus Gesing, I understood his idea of how to make a bass sound. Of course, I enjoyed it again the next day in the Cueva de los Verdes. Thank you very much, Mr. Meyer.
Hi Mr. Meyer, I hope you are doing well. I'm just writing to tell you a worderful story of Internet possibilities. In the mid 90's I was a 15 year-old teen in Brazil who wanted to play the bass. I also happened to be a Milla Jovovich fan, so I bought her Live at Liberty Lunch concert VHS. The whole band was awsome, but my favorite thing about that concert was the mesmerizing bass lines. I played that VHS so many times in my VCR that the thing worn out. Earlier today I was browsing RUclips for something pleasant to listen and of course I found that concert that some enlightened soul manage to upload. After finishing watching it I looked up Wikipedia to see if I could find the bass player's name and voilà. I am really glad I found your channel.
completely my area, saw you with Ronin in march 2011 at exil, will never forget that evening. Ordered Provenance now, after being on the radar for almost 2 years.
I am so happy to have discovered your music/your bass playing, and only sorry that I have not known of you before now. From a fellow bassist--you are amazing! Thank you for your beautiful music.
That was fantastic! I’m so glad this popped up on my RUclips feed. Playing and sound design were incredible. What are the pedals you were using for this?
Dear Björn, thank you so much for sharing this utterly stunning performance with us. Could you please give some insight on your setup and the effects you use?
Thanks a lot for listening and for your inspiring appreciation - 🙏 .. my setup .. could be a long discussion but most important: - MTD 6string bass that has been in my hands every day since I got it in 1995 - Metric Halo soundcard/preamp - Efx all added to the straight sound by software - I use Plogue Bidule as a “pedal board” and mainly plugins by Soundtoys, Expert Sleepers, Valhalla. - All Efx controlled via Midi/USB .. the pedals and knobs you see on the floor - no hands 😉 .. to make it short ..
