JP REALLY needs to get the Ibanez back, his tone was impeccable during this era.

Awesome! Leafing through the jungle that are chef videos and split screen covers, finally, Hell's Kitchen, in all its Sherinian glory, spread open almost exactly like what was painted on FII.

James LaBrie voice died in 1998, this is the last breath of his amazing 90' vocals.

IDK, I thought he sounded pretty great in Scenes From a Memory, and thought he sounded decent during the tour :/

@@Evanthemovieguy really? then you should hear his very original voice on song called Voice and Scared. 😉 not kidding this time.

His vocals during 1999 SFAM-2000 still amazing, if you notice carefully his vocals totally different when transition SFAM and Six Degrees, and also Octavarium and Systematic Chaos.
For me, His vocal character when Train of Thought and Black Clouds are same.

@@DavaHerian, I think James voice's dramatically changed in Train of Thought world tour. Of course we can hear some differences between Awake and FII tours, and also between FII and SFaM tours, but the most evident one is betwenn SDOIT and ToT. His vocals got more nasal and he almost stop using rasp on his voice (at least in the way he used to do in the past). Compare his performance of Beyond This Life on this show: ruclips.net/video/VGYsFmdZ7OE/видео.html (2002) with the Budokan presentation and you will hear an evident difference.

They indeed played the song as it is on the album, but just a couple of times in the 1998 year end shows. None of them are available in video to the wider public.

Between Dream Theater now having Mangini and LaBrie's vocals being a bit all over the place, my heart breaks a little bit.
