I'm crying right now listening to this music, it's sad, melancholy and mysterious but at the same time I find it beautiful 'cause it remembers me how beautiful was the finale episode. Extremely sad but amazing, the looks of Judith and Daryl, see Rick again, Michonne looking for him... Daryl saying "I love you" for the first time to Carol, Rosita's death that I find very sad, but i also see that like the peace after the storm, with her beautiful face. The scene with Daryl riding made me sobbing because it represents a new beginning, but after the end of something exceptional. I loved this show with all myself, I will never forget what it represents to me.
@@amanda_76yeah daryl was great to fit with every scene. He is something i just want to cry for him. His face always shows loyalty an love for his family. Bigbaldhead you rock. 4:36
The walking dead ended perfectly, literally, everyone got an ideal ending from Gabriel to opening the gates not locking them out, to Eugene becoming brave and being the last survivor from his group, to Daryl looking for his brother,Rick, to carol staying finally and not running away, to Ezekiel leading a city after his kingdom fell, to negan making up someway and living his life with his wife, to Maggie building towards a future, to the kids living safely and studying and enjoying life in a community, to Aaron living with Gracie, to Lydia finding love, to Jerry living an honest peaceful life, to Mercer living with princess as co governor. Fantastic writing
Bear really crushed it. This was the best possible track to wrap up the walking dead. While it was happening it game me Brian Eno Ascent vibes from 28 days later. This was special. Daryll riding off on the bike. Grateful for this!

I have watched TWD since I was in 5th grade. I am now a Senior in high school, not only am I graduating this year I got to graduate watching the end of my favorite show since I was a kid. I’m so grateful to have grown up with this show, end of an era❤
im in the exact same position as you, started in 5th and now i’m a senior, reading your comment made me realize how special it really is to have this show while growing up
Started when I was 10 and now I'm nearly 23 and done with college. It's weird having a show to grow up with this long. I will forever cherish this show, this world and it's characters.
One of the most beautiful, entrancing soundtracks from the show. Beautiful music with Daryl riding off into the distance, I cried. I truly hope we get to see Rick and Michonne reunite with their kids, Rick with Daryl and Carol. They all mean so much to me, as did the show. Thank you Walking Dead and cheers to another couple years of spinoffs if not another decade ❤
People really aren't talking about Bear Mccarrey in the comments. Bear has been part of TWD music family for a LONG time. Probably since the beginning. This man has been a soundtrack in my life for the last 12 years. He was one of the BEST parts of this show because his music also tells a story in this universe. Thanks Bear your up there with Hans Zimmer for me. This song sounds like a final goodbye, but with remembering all the good times. I hope Bear will do ALL of the music for the spin offs as well. Thanks man cc
Everyone saying: Started watching when I was 8 I started this show last year and watched the finale exactly a year after. I was having extremely hard time and this used to cheer me up every weekend and made me forget my problems. I cried at 4:40 as it reminded me the ending of the rough period and a feeling of escape this show provided for me. It's not the best and it's far from perfect but it's close to my heart and the finale was great
I started this show back at November of 2019,so when I watch the show always reminds of that time when everything was normal and nothing wrong could happen
I couldn't ask for a better finale. The deaths were pretty damn tough, Daryl's send-off was perfection and like always, the music hit harder than Lucille and Glenn. May The Walking Dead finally Rest In Peace...
The fact that this is a callback to the shows earlier soundtracks specifically mercy of the living and more notably a return to compassion. Just love it
I saved it up to make it last and watched the finale last night. 12 years since I started watching this, and much has happened in that time. You end up feeling strangely attached to people you don't really know. Kinda feels like saying farewell to your family when you've watched this many episodes over so many years.
The big, swelling feel when Rick got taken and violins at the very end when Judith said "we get to start over, we are the ones who live" made me cry. This show knows how to make you feel the little moments and make them mean everything.
@@mr.goodboi2780 Yes, its by far one of the best endings of a show i ever seen. I still remember the visions that Carl had for the future in 8x09 like with Negan and Judith and Rick and Michonne was old together. Hoping that gets shown in the new spin-offs

Through quite a few cons the show went through I’m so glad I stuck through till the end. Iconic show. Will never get tired of it. Thank you everyone for what you guys have done. Thank you. I watched it all 12 years. I'm 18, so you can imagine that it was a big part of my life. Thank you for the beautiful happy ending.
Gabriels redeeming moment where he opens the gate and lets the commonwealth people in which mirrors his first scene where he locks his church and lets everyone outside die.
I'm rewatching twd and was on episode 3x6, and apparently a version of this song was playing in the background when Daryl finds Carol in the prison cell...
I don't think a better melody could have been selected for this final chapter. Melancholy, sadness and hope in a single musical piece. A soundtrack jewel. My favorite series of all time... Thanks to all..!!!
The end of something beautiful. I'll always love the walking dead and I'm so glad I had the luxury of being there the night the final episode aired and heard this master piece
I love how nothing was simple, and everyone's done bad things (some against their wishes but were just trying to survive), but they found a way to make the best ending they could really, except for rosita but she kind of gets the best end all things considered, and the way she spoke to eugene completely melted my heart (same with him to her). The dynamic between Carol and Daryl too when she says he is her best friend and loves him was just as moving The way gabriel lets his congregation back in. The way they go back to episode 1 with the hospital vibes. All the flashbacks to those who didn't make it. The way the actors leave heartfelt messages at the end. The whole ending is just a masterpiece and we needed it because some of the seasons were a bit dull How Mercer stepped up and became badass at the end. He stood to lose his sister and "Princess" and what we see at the end, but he fought for all that, putting his life on the line like Eugene did, and deserved it The heavy undertones of how we as humans can redeem people. This ending made me think of The Last of Us 2 in a way (the only ending to move me as much as this) and I compared Negan and Maggie to Abby and Ellie. I never once imagined I would feel emotional at Negan being protected, his genuine heart-felt apology, Maggie showing him respect for all he had done to atone and saying he earned his place
Ok ok so the finale made me cry and I'm a 40 year old grown man. Been watching this since 2010 I was about 28/29 back when it first started. The ending with the flashbacks and when Rick talks about the people who have died and the ones he no longer sees made me have automatic flash backs over the years and I remembered people that have died in that time. Don't know what it was but there was a connection. It was a landmark series about survival that is second to none.
Absolutely agree. Might be strange to others to remember life experiences relating to the walking dead episodes, but this is our life and twd is a part of it in the end, and we will always remember where we were when certain things happened in twd and what was happening in our real lives at the time..thats just how powerful an effect twd had on us.
The music in this finale has stayed with me......I keep hearing it in my head. It was just so breathtakingly beautiful. And then at other times it added to the terror of the moment happening on screen. But this section right here .....just perfect. Bear was Definitely at the top of his game for this
Just watched the last episode and it brought me straight to tears. It actually brought me back to myself and back to what is important, which is love ❤️ this soundtrack is also just so captivating and touching.
this is the longest thing ive ever watched. for over a decade... and im glad sticking to the end. the development of those useless in early such like eugene, gabe are just soo good, and also negan. thanks AMC
Daryl put in so much work. He literally busted his ass through this entire show to save his family. He did so much to keep his family safe. A true warrior. On a side note, I was 10 years old when this show first premiered. I'm now 22 years old. I literally grew up with it. Watched it through my entire teenage years. It was kinda sad to see it come to an end. Especially with all the flashbacks of the characters with Rick's narration.
I can’t believe it's over after so many years. What a ride it has been. From the highs and lows in the show. From all the sad to joyful moments. To follow all the amazing characters as the survive in the world Being the last one in a friend group to watch it. It being the one thing me and my friends talking about. Speculating and being massive fans. To then sadly in the end watching it alone. Being the only one that stayed with the show. It being there since I was a teenager. To now when I'm an adult. It being thee during all the bad times and the good. It feels like saying goodbye to a old friend. And even if new shows will be released. I will forever miss this show. The main show. So thank you TWD for being the amazing show you were. Thsnk you for everything.
This music was absolutely beautiful. Still can't believe it's over. IMO everyone got an incredible ending in the show and I do look forward for what's to come in these spin offs. Especially the Rick and Michonne one. Almost been a week and I'm still tearing up over it lol.
Ricordo che l'anno scorso ho messo questa canzone in cuffia l'ultimo giorno di scuola e ho iniziato a dire addio a tutti i miei amici e ho quasi pianto quel giorno

Anyone else realized that this song played everytime there was a new beginning on twd? Like when Rick first held Judith, when they arrived at Alexandria and when Daryl left in the last episode
Ok...i have never cried over a series or a movie before but tbh i have cried like 30min nonstop when this episode was over i wish that this show could go on forever but all amazing things have to end at one point...righ...this show has been a part of me ever since and now i feel like a part of me is gone and sadly its finally time i let go🥺🥺😔😔
This may be the end of the show but it’s also the beginning of a new chapter. Can’t wait for the spin offs where michonne looks for rick, daryl looks for then both, and negan and maggie finally making up after many years of them being in a rivalry and trying to kill eachother
Wow TWD was one of the greatest show ever created, from the cast to the graphics ,started this movie @27 now I’m 36 , I was praying for Rick rhymes to re unit with everyone but never did , cried a lot from season 1- the end, thanks TWD
I have to admit I didn't begin watching the show until near the end of season 7 but that was because I couldn't afford amc and well I didn't know what it was but I have one memory of it being on tv where it's the death of bob and from then on I loved this show because i knew i found something truly special, it has brought me wisdom and joy and great emotion it has to be one of if not the only tv shows that has brought me to a single tear and people can try and replicate zombie shows all they want but the walking dead was the original it layed the pavement for them and it will never be forgotten, Rosita was beautiful and that was so tragic.
Listening to this I'm not only reflecting on the past 12 years of the walking dead but I'm also thinking about how my life has changed all these years and it's crazy how fast time has flown and how much things have changed but throughout all of it one factor that hasn't changed was my love for this show and I'm exited for the future and to see where the universe expands to thanks twd
I can’t for the life of me understand why they haven’t officially released the music tracks from the last season. The finality and happy melancholy of this score really drives it home. The gravity of over a decade of one of the most popular shows of all time.
The end of an era... What a ride. TWD will be one of the best shows ever created.

And then at other times it added to the terror of the moment happening on screen. But this section right here .....just perfect. Bear was Definitely at the top of his game for this
New Journey you’ve earned a spot in the Random Shit I Play In the Car playlist.
Watched this live w my aunt every sunday but she died a few years ago i got back into to twd in s9 and i decided to finish it for her
That hit hard bro, I'm sorry for your loss. Even after passing I'm sure she was with you watching along the way until the end.
Just like you said, it's not released anywhere. So, thanks mate 👍
My fav soundtrack for this final moment.
I loved that music and scene
Who else is sitting here crying?
Love how a large part of this is basically a remix of “Mercy of the Living”
Almost been a week and I'm still tearing up over it lol.
just finished this series! wow.. man.... i m speechless...
This music will bring so much memories in the future, I can already feel it.
It's been just a year, damn
Ricordo che l'anno scorso ho messo questa canzone in cuffia l'ultimo giorno di scuola e ho iniziato a dire addio a tutti i miei amici e ho quasi pianto quel giorno
I was a scared 7-8 year old watch a zombie show with my dad to a 19 year year old the walking dead has meant so much to me its the only show (so far) to make me cry and this send-off was perfect daryl was the last man standing
Thanks so much for making this! Been wanting the song so badly but no official release yet
I love how Bear keeps bringing back Carl’s new world theme from Season 8. My favorite piece of recurring soundtrack in the whole show
Daryl deserves a happy ending too, he's lost a lot of people he loved: Merle,Beth,Glenn,Leah... :(
We're the Ones Who Live !
Anyone else realized that this song played everytime there was a new beginning on twd? Like when Rick first held Judith, when they arrived at Alexandria and when Daryl left in the last episode
I did :)
4:42
it's like something of nostalgic and that hits your heart
I love That ❤
Thank you
Tears kick in every time
@@ProspectsStudio so true bestie 🥹
Bear McCREARY* AND SAM EWING*!!!
The finale's score is amazing!
I'm not gonna lie! I'm not gonna cry!!
The last part of the song hits my soul hard!!!
I just bunged watched it on Netflix. Amazing.
They really knocked it out of the park with that score. This particular bit was so moving and beautiful. I can't wait to buy the soundtrack.
Wow TWD was one of the greatest show ever created, from the cast to the graphics ,started this movie @27 now I’m 36 , I was praying for Rick rhymes to re unit with everyone but never did , cried a lot from season 1- the end, thanks TWD
This ending was literally perfect, I can confidently say that nobody has a good argument that goes against that.
World's best long series
I have to admit I didn't begin watching the show until near the end of season 7 but that was because I couldn't afford amc and well I didn't know what it was but I have one memory of it being on tv where it's the death of bob and from then on I loved this show because i knew i found something truly special, it has brought me wisdom and joy and great emotion it has to be one of if not the only tv shows that has brought me to a single tear and people can try and replicate zombie shows all they want but the walking dead was the original it layed the pavement for them and it will never be forgotten, Rosita was beautiful and that was so tragic.
Amazing sound..Pls load to spotify
Indeed what a journey this has been.
That fdinal scene with Daryl going off alone broke me AGAIN! Especially with that vocalizing in the end...
The Walking Dead is over, but it’s legacy carries on through the spin-offs..what a ride it’s been!
Everybody was looking for this song lolll
This is very nice ,thanks so much!!!
Really emotional final soundtrack for The walking dead.
I can’t for the life of me understand why they haven’t officially released the music tracks from the last season. The finality and happy melancholy of this score really drives it home. The gravity of over a decade of one of the most popular shows of all time.
it was a beautiful journey
Judith: Uncle Daryl, you deserve a happy ending 😢💔
