Practice was tedious today, kept making loads of mistakes. But tonight i started jamming along to this and had a blast, even had some happy accidents, this made my day, thanks a lot man :)
@@philfischer4115 those are the numbered intervals! it shows which intervals are on which frets. 1 is the root (A) and then all the intervals up to seven are the respective notes in the scale, the ones who have the 'b' symbol are flat. The scale on the left is pentatonic which means the 2nd and the 6th intervals are removed, the one on the right is diatonic (all the intervals)
@@philfischer4115 to make it more clear the intervals in the C major scale would be C (1st) D (2nd) E (3rd) F(4th) G(5th) A (6th) B (7th) and then C(8th or octave, same note but higher). You'll sometimes see the 1st and 8th being written as R (root) or just 1st in these types of tabs for the sake of simplicity c:
my mind is blown. I cant figure this out all at once, but it changes everything and I am going to learn it thanks. I notice that sometimes it sounds good to play 12th E 5,6,7 then b 234 ending with that 1 root on the 14th, but it does not always sound good. Practice!
@@philfischer4115 if ur interested in music theory i really recommend andrew huangs music theory video, i believe its about half an hour long but very concise and clear and a great place to start! intervals are incredibly useful bc thats the way we're able to transcribe music in different keys. i love ur attitude towards learning abt music, pls never lose that enthusiasm bro thats the best quality an artist can have :D
man that ws amazing , i didn't expect myself to even pleasure my own ears like that , i haven't picked up my guitar in a long time and i enjoyed it for 8 minutes straight , thank you.
But what is the most AMAZING what you achieve is making us (I saw comments from others feeling like me) , making us feeling GOOD from OUR OWN PLAYING! Otherwise we just do all that exercises but rarely ENJOY what we do ( intermediate phase students)
malin, j'ai mal aux doigts, j'en enchainé 4h de plus le soir...c absolument génial, merci merci pour toutes ces vidéos ! Débutant en impro, c juste énorme l'apport de tout ton travail !
Coming from someone who dosent know how much from guitar theory, this help me quickly to understand how its possible to jam.
thanks a lot man
